Park plaza Westminster Hotel looks nice, staff friendly and a great location however that’s about it.
The wait to check in is ridiculous, 30 mins with 2 people in front of us, put in the wrong room (easily fixed). Ironing board knackered, had to iron on the desk, dirty flannel and dusty. That’s the good things. Duvet that didn’t do up and pillows as old as the hotel. Anyway let this go after all nothing rarely perfect so on check out, like we always do, stripped the bed and then we found urine stained duvet and dried blood on mattress topper so enough was enough and complained. Despite logging it with reception ans guest relations via emails, phone calls and online chat we just been ignored. Hotel obviously not bothered about hygiene of guest satisfaction.
My advice, stay somewhere else, cost out ways what you get, plenty of alternatives in the same vicinity but if you do check the bed and linen first!

10 starts if I could for my stay at park plaza riverbank, everything exceeded my expectations. I also want to give a special mention to the receptionist Halina who provided an exceptional checking in service, as she really went above and beyond to sort out my room as I accidentally booked the wrong type of room for my stay. I will definitely be back soon

Nottingham UK, Friday night loud sub bass music blaring out nearby until 3:30am. So loud the hotel windows were vibrating. Barely got any sleep, sound proofing was awful.

Excellent customer service from one of your employees from the reservations department at park plaza London riverbank Renee Douglas. She was extremely helpful and friendly. She assisted us when making and amending our booking, and we were very grateful for the support we received. We would definitely book with you again, as she made the booking process stress free and enjoyable and is an excellent representative for your company.

Fifth stay here and not much more could have gone wrong. Horrendous food at conference dinner - embarrassing, to the point of delegates complaining, sending food back and demanding refunds. “Braised steak” that was more like a piece of hardwood. Breakfast is essentially self-service now. No dressing gown in room unless you ask for one. Woken up by an alarm call I didn’t ask for….said as much and then received another ten minutes later! Irritating proposal about vouchers if you go without having your room cleaned - at £540 for two nights? "You'd like a soft drink instead of a complimentary champagne at your reception, Sir? Certainly, that will be £5.06 because fruit juice is obviously much more expensive." Upon leaving I was asked how my stay was and I replied “Not good at all.” The reply was “Oh well, have a good day.” The hotel is clearly suffering from a shortage of staff and a campaign to save money. This was not good - and a shame, as it had previously been a reliable place to hold a conference and stay. This time it was embarrassing and we have been apologising to visitors who made such an effort to come.

So I couldn’t make the reservation I get that I be lose my deposit but I called the hotel to make sure I wouldn’t be charged. They advised I wouldn’t be but now I get emails saying I will be charged.

We have paid for a sea view room which is markedly more expensive than other rooms. We do NOT have a sea view at all! and when we mentioned this to reception they first shrugged thier shoulders, chuckled to themselves (clearly not the first time this had happened) and agreed it was NOT sea view. After insisting they did something to sort this out they spoke to thier manager. They returned and had now changed thier mind and decided it was a sea view and refused to discuss and compensation for the miss selling that is clearly happening here. Going as far to suggest that it was perfectly good as a sea view room. Apparently our best chance is if hopefully at somepoint a room is vacated and we make the effort to ask at the right time to be relocated. Terrible!

I would like to specifically mention and thank Renee Douglas for her outstanding customer service to assist me with free upgrade to Studio room this morning. This has enabled my son to join me on my already booked trip to St Pauls Covid 19 memorial. Her kindness and professionalism went above and beyond to accommodate our change and the fact that she was able to do this quickly over the telephone, thus removing all undue anxiety was a credit to her and the company in general. We always use this hotel on our visits and although very rarely leave reviews, felt compelled to acknowledge her and the hotel in general for their outstanding customer service on this occasion.

We booked into the Park Plaza Hotel in Cardiff for the Cardiff half marathon, we could have booked into a much cheaper hotel but we thought we'd spend a bit more so we could guarantee a good night's sleep. We were given room number 112. We were kept awake until 1am with music and revellers coming from the events being held at the hotel! We were then woken up at 3am with people moving the furniture around on the ground floor as the events team started cleaning up, this continued until 4am! When we made a complaint to the desk about the noise they denied the noise took place and then suggested coming on a weekday instead to avoid the noise!! As you can guess we didn't have a great sleep, don't bother paying their prices, go to the cheaper hotels, they guarantee a good night's sleep!!

We booked a Christmas Party in Cardiff but with currently climate we’ve had 14 members of staff drop out due to Covid.
We asked for a refund, no.
We asked to re arrange so all the staff could enjoy. No!!! They said we would have to May more again if we wanted to change it.

The staff were unbearably rude with absolutely no empathy.
I understand everyone runs a business but you are multi world wide owned company and we are a small firm in South West Wales

Stayed at Park Plaza Victoria for 2 days this week. Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful at all times. Beautiful room and great service.

Stayed here this weekend for 2 nights in what they called a “superior room”. Staff were very polite and willing to help, but there are a couple of issues that need sorting. I complained that the bathroom sink did not have a working plug and water was running away wasting water. A maintainance man called and declared that this was how it was meant to be due to COVID. So I said, COVID means you have to waste water does it ?
Yes was the reply. Weird if you ask me, when we are all being urged to conserve resources. Hey, what do I know ?
Cooked breakfast was good though.

Stayed at the Waterloo version. Terrible experience. The worst by far.

I booked a one night stay at Park Plaza at Leeds after purchasing two tickets for a Diana Ross concert which was cancelled due to Covid restrictions.
Therefore I cancelled my hotel and I was told I could not have a refund. However I was given an email which stated I could rebook within a year.I still have the confirmation email which I have sent a copy to the hotel.
Due to Covid restrictions I could not make a booking and the hotel was closed.
Since the lifting of restrictions I rang the hotel and was told I had used the booking and stayed and checked out of the hotel which was not the case.

I paid the money through booking.com and contacted them and my money was paid to the hotel.

I feel I am not alone in this scenario due to Covid restrictions and have asked for the manager to escalate this complaint.

The staff at Park Plaza in Westminister, London have been nothing short of amazing. We stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks, and I can honestly say the staff were absolutely fabulous.
My property was flooded so during this time we booked a stay here. We were given an accommodating room with full facilities and a great view.
Room service & cleaning staff were excellent, they provided us with regular cleaning attendance, fresh towels and checked in with me everyday to make sure my family were enjoying the stay. The food was lovely too.
As we were in the summer term holiday's staff ensured that my children were able to swim everyday they even held a movie night in one of their event rooms which the kids loved. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in London short or long term.

I can't believe one of my favorite hotels to stay at in London when I visit would gift a stay to the Ingham family.the father has groomed fans one victim had just turned 16 and has autism so she is very vulnerable and he tried to lure her from her hotel room this happened in America in a state where the age of consent is 18 so if he returns he will be arrested! the other victim was suicidal so he lured her from Scotland to make her better by taking advantage and there's others.you really need to do a better job of vetting these YouTubers before offering them free stays for advertising as it could backfire on you like this has.

I booked this hotel for December 2020 via booking.com but the show we went to see was cancelled, The booking was moved to be used December 2021 (in the future). In December 2020 for some reason the Park Plaza hotel cancelled the booking and the booking.com advisor advised i would get a refund. In February still no refund, so called booking.com and have a message dated 02.02.2021 saying that I will receive a full refund in 7 - 12 days or 15 worst case. 16th March I call the hotel only to be told I will now not receive my refund for 90 business days from the 2nd of February (the date I chased to find out why i hadn't received a refund)

I don't think hotels should change their policies like the wind to hold on to clients money when they cancelled bookings...they cannot use covid as an excuse to fleece members of the public who have substantially less income than a global hotel chain. It's a disgrace and would like a manager to escalate this complatin.

I used this hotel a week again for business and I was extremely happy with it and can’t recommend enough . It was stringently covid safe nothing was over looked - The room was lovely large and well maintained it had a mini kitchen and a lovely spacious outside balcony . Breakfast was English and continental selection brought to the room which was also delicious. Hotel was very good value for money and I would very much use when returning to London .
