Phillips Solicitors was established in 1986. Brain Chase Coles Solicitors was established in 1995. Both firms merged on 1 February 2020. In 2021, Phillips acquired Henley’s Solicitors. In 2022, we became Phillips Law.

Great experience with Sian Lias
We dealt with Sian Lias with regard to drawing up our wills and general advice with regard to inheritance tax. She was great to work with, being very knowledgeable, and also very friendly. I'd recommend her to anybody in a heart beat.

4/5 Not bad ! Room for improvement but better than worse .
A generally good outcome was achieved. However not as good as I feel five stars might have been worth .
I’d recommend this law company to others . I suspect there are better firms / lawyers out there , and there are certainly much worse!

Good experience with Phillips Law
We have used Phillips Law before to buy a country property which had some complex issues to solve, which ran very smoothly.
This time we had a simpler sale and purchase to deal with and as before everything went smoothly throughout, thanks to Jon Coles and Catherine Killeen. E-mails were replied to immediately or within in a couple of hours and calls were taken in most cases, when on the odd occasion we needed to discuss matters. Exchange and completion were perfectly on time. Overall a very positive experience.

Wills and Probate
I cannot speak highly enough of Claire-Marie Selwood and the help she provided to my late aunt to prepare her first Will when she was over 90 years of age. Claire-Marie was totally professional and provided my aunt with clear explanations and reassurance.
She then gave me with invaluable support in processing the Will in what turned out to be a rather complex estate, providing regular and clear communications on progress.
I would wholeheartedly recommend.

Sian Lias at Phillips Law: Handling of Sensitive Case
Sian and her colleagues at Phillips Law managed a number of legal issues on my behalf that arose from the death of my wife from breast cancer in November 2024. These were often complex and highly sensitive in nature, particularly as some commenced and involved my wife whilst she was terminally ill. Throughout the process Sian and her colleagues explained processes and options in a clear and sympathetic manner, kept me in close touch with developments and operated in a way that ensured costs were carefully controlled. I was very impressed by both the outcomes and timescales within which they were achieved. I could not recommend the team at Phillips Law more highly.

Employment matter - friendly and effective advice
I was referred to Jacqueline Kendal through a friend of mine, who suggested that she would be well placed to advise me on an employment matter I was unsure of how to navigate. For what was a stressful time for me personally, Jacqueline's advice was always direct but delivered in a calm, friendly and personable manner, which made me feel at ease and reduced the stress I was experiencing significantly, and the scenario ended with a positive resolution.
