I bought my daughter a car from Platinum a few months ago. Very quickly issue arose with the vehicle. On trying to engage with Platinum you are fobbed off with a contact email address. In short these guys are to be avoided. Appalling after sales, dodgy vehicles.
If you value your hard earned cash the. Please avoid this lot.

Just purchased a car from platinum, the service was top class, the service provided was simply the best, car was MOT but because they were not privy to who had done, they went and got it done again, resulting in several defects which was rectified
I would recommend anyone at least dropping in on them, my salesman was Martin, really professional honest guy

Bought daughter a car in feb 2022, had a few niggles nothing major, then in early may clutch failed, the refused to fix it as we couldn’t get hold of them and by the time we did it was a day out of warranty( the claimed warranty co refused due to not being covered but that was untrue it was due to being one day out of warranty) then 2 months later started to get turbo issues, rac suggested actuator issue, I got that replaced and that didn’t fix issue so was Tuvalu diagnosed with full turbo failure. Took them to court and unfortunately didn’t win due to the mileage that had been put on car initially even though the warranty paperwork we had did not state a mileage limit, the owner claimed we test drive the car, we didn’t as they couldn’t get it out when we went to see it, also claimed we were offers extra warranty which we weren’t. Paid £6000 for a car and Worthing 5 months had spent £1900 fixing it. No remorse, no help offered, costly mistake on our part.

DO NOT buy a car from these jokers!! Totally unprofessional and no help whatsoever!
Yeh full of the charm when it comes to selling, they want the sale,but absolutely rubbish when it comes to problems once you bought from them!!
We had the car two weeks when the head gasket blew. After inspection it appeared the water pump had been siliconed into place which put pressure on the gasket. The finance company had to step in and told them they had to fix it, Platinum didn't like the fact that they had to collect and redeliver the car to us at their expense, the finance company told them that by law of the consumer right act of 2015 that they had to. They really dragged things out and had the car for six weeks, it came back to us with the same problem, once it was independently inspected again ,so for six weeks they'd done nothing! Today after 7 months of this, the car was finally taken from us today, by the finance company and thank god for them, because without the finance company supporting us we would have got nowhere with these jokers! Platinum live in denial and come up with every excuse possible not to support you, they have a weird system that means you can only email after sales, but when they email back...eventually...it comes from the sales manager, so basically they are one and the same thing but they refuse to speak to you on the phone once you've bought a car. I wonder why, is it because the cars they sell haven't had the thorough inspection they claim they have, or is it because they know most of their cars are total rubbish because they come from auctions and have problems from the start that platinum don't want to fix?! I actually asked the joker when buying if he would put his kids in this car, he didn't reply and changed the subject, I should have known at that moment to turn and walk away, more fool me! They don't know anything technical or mechanical and they're not interested in how it's impacted your life or the mental or financial stress they've caused. They truly are a bunch of cowboys. You have been warned don't go near! Ps don't listen to the reviews on their website they're all fake and were all written several at a time on the same date, and these guys aren't big enough or capable of selling that many cars in one day! Ps when you do email them expect to be blamed and told its all your own fault, they are not interested and do not want to be repossible for anything, as I said they're in denial but are very professional when blowing smoke up their own backsides. I have proof of all communication between them and us if anyone wants to look. I'm also in communication with trading standards about these jokers as they should not be allowed to trade! Pps lol they even had the cheek to check with Trust Pilot when my review went live, if I had got the right company!! See what I mean...in denial! Shame you are so narcissistic that you can't recognise your own company and the crap service you give! Yes I've got the correct company, I'd hate to think you've got more than one, heaven forbid!!

Paid £5300 in June 2022.
Lots of minor problems which were put right.
However 8 months later I am now without a car as the timing chain snapped with no warning. I either scrap the car or pay around £3000 for a replacement engine & labour. I can't afford to buy another car or the repair.
Never had these sort of problems with any car previously purchased in such a short period of time.

Top quality service by Darren, he made the whole experience as hassle free as possible and nothing was a problem for him, I went there to look at 2 cars and after looking at the first I decided against it as it needed a bit of tidying up, Darren offered to knock some money off for me to get it sorted but I didn't want the hassle, I decided to view the other car and he was more than happy to move his stock around to get it out, once out the paperwork was sorted in no time and with no hassle, the car I took in the end I am very happy with and there were no issues with it, hopefully the after sales service if required is as good as the initial service and I would recommend them to anyone, top job Darren.

Brilliant service. Happy friendly customer service who are happy to help with any problems or questions.

Went to see an Alfa Giulietta that had just arrived in their hands,was quite scruffy on the rear wings etc from the previous owner but Martin promised they would sort it all for me (inside was perfect!).Slightly dubiously i said id take it if all the work was done and...WOW picked it up a week and half later and it was fantastic,all work done to a brilliant standard!!thanks again!

Well, where do I even start... Darren is the most welcoming, understanding and kind gentleman I have ever met (well, at least the only salesman I have ever met!) He was so knowledgeable and incredibly funny. As a single woman it can sometimes be daunting buying a car, but Darren was the perfect mix of professional, understanding and hilarious.

Reading the mixed reviews on here I wasn’t sure whether to visit the guys at Platinum but, my friend had a really pleasant experience with them so I decided to give them a try! So glad I did! Martin the sales man who dealt with me from start to finish couldn’t do enough to help me, they got me through on finance which was amazing and the little bits that did need doing on my new Citroen C4 were done before I collected as promised! This place sounds like it’s had a staff turn around since all the poor reviews I read! Well done Platinum and thanks again Martin!

Absolutely amazing service from Darren at platinum car centre! From contacting him Wednesday afternoon to arrange viewing the car to him helping us process our finance we picked up our dream car Thursday evening! He was even happy to wait for us as we had to drive over an hour to get to them!
I part exchanged my vehicle and they even cleared the remaining finance on my car. Could not recommend them enough! Thank you so much Darren, you 100% made my day!

In the cut throat world of Car Sales, the folks at Platinum stand our for their experience and down to earth no nonsense approach. Which is sadly lacking elsewhere. In short they are good, very good.

Excellent service. Test drove several cars on the day. Salesman more than happy to put himself out shuffling cars around so I could test drive. Good quality stock, I went there to buy a Nissan quashkai and came away with a Hyundai ix35 purely because the Hyundai had better speck. Car came with full mot valet and warranty. Car centre to trust. Never mind honest John it’s honest Martin at platinum car centre. Please remember when your buying a second hand car it’s not brand new and will have age related wear, even Martin hasn’t got a magic wand but he gets things sorted. Cheers.

Please don't buy a car from this company. We have had an absolute nightmare with a Citroen we have bought. Upon collecting the car we found Gearbox Warning light, Brakes are faulty, wing mirror is taped up, air suspension needs fixing (they were aware of this as was told to return car in January to be fixed, no it needs to be now!!!l). So many warning lights for a car that had supposedly been MOT'd and Serviced.....clearly not in my opinion. You can't get through to them as inbox is always full and they dont return calls. I will not be removing this review until this company fixes everything that is wrong. I have children and I simply will NOT be putting their lives at risk for a car that is severely unroadworthy. We are having to hire a car that we can use as the one we purchased is simply not fit to drive in.To say im fuming is an understatement. I am seeking legal advice as I do not want anyone else to go through what we did and companies like this needs to be stopped and reported. My review stays until im a happy customer. I have photos as proof of faults.

Seen a car advertised on Car Gurus, spoke to John at the garage I have to be honest one of the most helpful people I have ever dealt with, could not be helpful enough nothing was to much trouble for them.
John was totally transparent and gave me good advice will 100% buy from them again what they say is what you get.

Honestly please just avoid this business. I wish I had gone with my gut and listened to the negative reviews but unfortunately I didn't.

Edit: Thanks Platinum for checking that I reviewed the correct company, yes I definitely did. I'm purposefully not giving extra details because I have seen how you tear down and discredit anyone who decides to write a negative review of you and I am not letting you do that to me.

I purchased a Nissan navara in Sept 2020 £7995, I found the chassis to be corroded and bent, 4wd didn’t work( was told by Zac it only works on snow and mud) sat nav didn’t work, sunroof leaks, oil leaks... overall a vehicle in very bad condition. Returned the vehicle to be told I have no consumer rights as I am self employed and occasional commute to work. Which is not true( as confirmed by trading standards, my solicitor, their legal advisors and my credit card company) but Zac the second hand car salesman disagrees with all of them!
Have been repeatedly lied to. Zac instructed welding work done on the vehicle against my instructions and did not tell me but continued to say it was being inspected. He did not inform me that the welding had been done for over 5weeks and still 5 months later refuses to tell me what work was actually done. ( he instructed the garage that did the work not to tell me what they did) I returned the vehicle on the advise of Trading Standards as the vehicle was not of satisfactory quality and not fit for purpose. Even their own legal advisors agreed I met the criteria to be a consumer. After 5 months of arguing in which Zac provided no legal evidence I wasn’t a consumer I made a claim via my credit card and have now been refunded. I was instructed to take the vehicle to Webuyanycar. And even they wouldn’t to buy it due to the overall poor condition. After having to get more work done to make it sellable it was independently valued at £3100. I have been threatened with storage fees whilst they kept it in a pub car park and then found the vehicle had been abandoned down the road for 3 months without being locked!
Also part exchanged a Skoda Yeti, Zac didn’t not inspect or even look at the vehicle which should have set the alarm bells ringing! They do not inspect vehicles they sell and simply supplying a new MOT doesn’t guarantee the vehicle is safe! All of this information is factual and can be proven. But I’m sure they will thank me for my review then spin more lies.

Reply to your response. WOW please put the footage of me jumping over the fence! You will not as this is another lie. Simply a DISGUSTING company and staff. FACT you sold a car in terrible condition and you refused to refund. You lied about work you did and continue to lie.

We never discussed putting tools in the truck only surf boards.

(Maybe your are confusing me with another unhappy customer)I have a full audio recording of my visit to your office in which the only aggression was by Neil on my request to have the keys to my vehicle to inspect the welding.
I have received full refund from my credit card company which you have seen proof of and their request I take the vehicle to webuyanycar. More lies!
Re the Nissan Juke. It required tyres and wipers within days of purchase which you paid for and then a few days out of warranty it needed a battery and starter motor and alternator. You never sent of the paper work to cancel the tax on the yeti which you said you would. UPDATE: After 5 years they are trying to get me to remove my review. Firstly saying iv reviewed the wrong company, then asking me to remove the bit where they lied about me jumping a fence and now what me to contact them… please steer clear of this company
