Products in stock aren’t actually in stock. Buyer beware

I opted to purchase furniture from PB kids for my first nursery set up. I always assumed PB would be the best in terms of quality, service and styles so I selected pretty early on in my pregnancy the style furniture I wanted that was “In Stock” and ready to ship. Not only was my entire order weirdly postponed to now arrive AFTER my due date over 4 months later, but I was charged about 3 times by a customer care representative to change to another color that would show up with some time before my baby was due. They refuse to send furniture until the entire order has arrived at the warehouse yet the dresser in my order miraculously went missing in transit (mind you it claimed to be “ready to ship” on the website, that was 7 weeks ago). The rest that showed up looks good and seems to be decent quality but was it worth $$$$ in money? definitely not. Be very careful about ordering from PB kids when you’re working with a time constraint. I was told they’d look into a slight refund for messing this up so bad but so far nothing — I paid full price and a lot of frustration to just get a crib, dresser and chair when I can’t physically build one myself. Won’t order from here ever again.

I ordered a glide rocker and it was…

I ordered a glide rocker and it was over 140lbs, they shipped it UPS and just placed it on the porch. SO Heavy that I will have to call a moving company to get it upstairs. I assumed it would be shipped in sections, it was but the base is the bulk of the weight, very difficult for a woman to carry upstairs. NO other options were offered or mentioned. Customer service did not offer any solutions either.

Wool rug October 2022

Ordered a wool rug October 2022. Rag has a strange chemical smell and it didn't go away even after putting outside to air (what was an act to drag it on the porch because it's so heavy). Additionally it still sheds. After having an accident on the rug and cleaning it professionally, the smell didn't go away. I suppose it's the backing of the rug what causes it. Called customer service, the answer is, I am sorry we can't do anything about it. This is the rug for kids room and is not cheep, how one can deliver this quality for kids items? Never again.

No refund for an item never delivered?!

I just discovered a silver cup I ordered as a christening gift a year ago had never been delivered (though I was charged for the item). I called to get a refund, and was told I wouldn't be refunded! Obviously outrageous. I had to stay on the phone with customer service for about an hour, repeating many times that I would not accept that outcome, and ultimately they agreed "as a special exception" to re-order the cup. This is a year late, but at least my friend will have something!

Absolutely disgrace of a company

Absolutely disgrace of a company. I waited 4 months for my nursery chair. Probably 10 calls to customer service, the day they actually made an appointment with me to deliver my nursery chair, with updates that the driver is on its way, 3 hours waiting they just called and canceled. Now I am back calling customer service daily, have to constantly explain all details to just be disappointed again, still no chair and baby is due next week. Do yourself a favor and don’t order from them. No reliable company and made my nursery experience a total horror show!!!

My wife order a vanity to gift her grand daughter while visiting to Houston. After Order confirmation email. It was cancel by one of department without any explaining. They could shipment to make sure every things okay.

They have zero Customer service. They do not want to maintain customer relation. A courtesy call to customer possibly can be resolve any issue related in shipping address. I talk several associate by transfer calls to various department they are mostly rude doesn't want to listen. No shame, No apology, No re-order options.

BEWARE of printing // bad customer service

BEWARE! If you receive a present and the initials are mis-printed they will NOT REPLACE. Even after being promised on the phone. I called back to confirm and they then said they could not.... This was a present!

BUYERS BEWARE

BUYERS BEWARE! I ordered a converter kit for my son’s bed all the way back in December and I’m still waiting. When I originally placed my order there was absolutely no indication that this piece was even on backorder. I came to find out when they changed my delivery date. I’ve called multiple times and not only do I get the run arounds and apology’s but one representative even suggested that I get a different converter kit to a different bed lol. I told them how is that even possible if I have a certain crib and then they apologized again and said yeah you’re right. So much for their knowledge. They don’t compensate their customers in any way shape or form therefore I will NEVER purchase from pottery barn kids again.

Stick with companies that offer price adjustments

Ordered a play table not even 2 weeks ago, shipping got delayed. Have not received the table yet and price went to down 149.00. Called for a price adjustment and was told that they do not honor adjustments. Almost all companies offer this service 14-30 days out. Better to stick to the companies that offer better customer service. I am going to return the item and buy from another store.

Pottery Barn Kids registry customer service offered 20 percent off a 4,500 nursery set, we lost connection, called back minutes later and the new sales person and supervisor would not honor this previous supervisor approval, they said they don’t keep records on precious calls. Really? It was only 10 minutes ago and we itemized the entire order took 30 minutes and no record of the approval?! They don’t keep compute records of calls they responded just minutes ago??? Good luck Pottery Barn Kids with this your business model terrible customer service. Lots of poor reviews here besides me. This bait and switch practice, you should be reported for these unethical business practices!

I ordered a complete kitchen set for my daughter that cost me over $1000 the delivery date changed 3 times before they stopped sending me updates now when I call my number cannot be found for the order. I finally contact someone from customer service who actually tried to help me and found my order number but couldn’t give me any information on the order. I called to cancel at f this point and still can’t get anyone to refund my money.

Horrible! My order for a newborn gift was cancelled two times without informing me! They take no accountability . I was so excited for them to receive it and waited for them to call and thank me. Meanwhile they never received it and I was never informed. Stay away

WASTED TIME + OVERCHARGING

I wasted an hour ordering two baby gifts because on a Mac, apparently, one needs to use a particular browser. This is fine but it is not posted anywhere.
Had to call repeatedly and go through various people.
This should have taken 5 minutes or less ~ not 60 minutes!

I ordered two gifts for the same family at the same time. Pottery Barn Kids, however, took the liberty of splitting the order and charging me TWICE for shipping without informing me.

I WILL NEVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN and RECOMMEND THAT YOU DON'T, EITHER.

They take your money and then change the status to out of stock

We ordered our nursery items 6 months before our due date. We were told the main items were in stock and it would just be 6 weeks for delivery. Well, each month since they've changed the delivery date and eventually changed it to out of stock. Leaving us with no options less than a month from the due date. We ordered from them because we believed they were a trusted brand but we won't be recommending them to anyone.

worst company and Customer service

I’ve dealt with this company so many times and just gotten more and more disappointed every time. My recent/worst experience has been today. I have my baby registry with them for the second time (huge mistake) not only it’s the worst site to shop from for registry as all my guests stand point, they charge so much for shipping even if you have a registry. Now today after few weeks of having the baby registry and already telling all my family and friends about it they change their completion discount from 20% to 15% without any warning, notification or emails what so ever, even tho I signed up with them before they don’t honor it. What a huge scam. I even spoke to a Costimer service representative 2 days ago about the discount and asks if everything on the resisgty is eligible for the discount and she said yes to 20% and nothing about it ending soon. This happens with all their discount items all the time but I didn’t think they are this careless and have 0 costumer appreciation to do this. After talking to 5-6 head Customer service representatives and managers they basically said it is what it is you should deal with it. All they had to do was to honor what they advertise to lure you in for who already had the registry but they didn’t, just like that. I hope they don’t get away with this. I’m 7 month pregnant and I got so stressed out today and after 8 hours I’m still shaking. Shame on them.

Horrible Company!!

Horrible Company!!! We have had a multitude of disappointing, horrible experiences with Pottery Barn Kids. Unfortunately, we attempted to use their company again and should have known better. Customer service is rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. We just purchased the Baby Bjorn Travel Crib light. It arrived and we do not need (my parents, unknowinly purchased one for us). I called Pottery Barn to return and they said, sorry, no, it's final sale as it ends in .99. I spoke with a supervisor, as there was ABSOLUTELY NO INDICATION ANYWHERE on this item (not on the page, not in the cart, NOTHING) that said final sale. The supervisor said, "well, you're right, it's not indicated anywhere for you to see, but if you would've scrolled to the bottom to our return policy, you could have read that items that end in .99 are ineligible to return." TO me this is completely deceptive, horrible service. When attempting to ask for help, absolutely nothing and they were really horrible and rude. Not even an offer of store credit. After these experiences, we will NEVER be using their company again. Just putting our experience out there to inform you all so that you do not get stuck in the same situation. We recommend other companies - this company should be put out of business.

We ordered a lot for our daughter in store in Roseville Galleria, they did tell us that it will take a while for it to be delivered but surprise, surprise… it’s been 6 months and our daughter’s bed and hutch haven’t been delivered. They didn’t tell us in the first place that the furniture we ordered is backed ordered and when they came to our house to deliver on Dec 7, the bed had no other parts (is this a joke?!) then called the customer service saying they’re sure that the parts are all in the delivery warehouse so they gave me the warehouse number and when I called, they said they definitely not have the parts of the bed. I called pottery barn kids customer service again and they said, they will give me an update in a week. Took two weeks and no update so I called them back, they said they placed a replacement and blah blah. I got an email that my furniture is ready to be scheduled for delivery, I scheduled it and was finally relieved that it will come to us but the day before the delivery, I got a call from the delivery company saying they cannot deliver because parts of the bed are still missing! I got so frustrated! Called pottery barn kids customer service the next day but was transferred thrice and got hanged up on. This company will never get any business with us anymore and I will never recommend them to any friends or to anyone!

WORST COMPANY EVERY

Ordered a bed and waited a month just to contact them and they said the item is back ordered. Canceled that order and asked if they had another bed in stock, was told yes it was in stock and could ship immediately. Well immediately was a month later and got a shipping email. When the delivery date came it didn’t show up. Gave them 2 extra days before I contacted them only to be told they canceled the order because they didn’t have a part!!!!! GOT NO NOTICE WHATSOEVER!!!!! THIS COMPANY IS TOTALLY TRASH AND NOT SURE WHY THEYRE SO LOVED. THE WORST EVER!!!

I ordered a xmas present on November 25th still have not received it. With inflation and a struggling economy
you think this company would care.There are other company out there that care and do a good job.
