We engaged Proactive to complete a major replacement of our flat roof, following the receipt of a local authority grant. From start to finish everyone we worked with were exceptional. We cannot speak highly enough of the service we received. The work was completed on time and to budget and communications from them were excellent, including daily photos of work that had been completed.
Engaging roofers is often worrying because there are so many cowboys out there. We talked to several of Proactive's customers and their feedback and comments gave us the confidence that we needed to engage them. We would, without hesitation, recommend them to others who are looking for roofing work.

Great company, really cared about making sure I got the right solution for my flat roof. Fair pricing, polite roofers and excellent communication throughout. Highly recommend them.

Agreed a quote. Paid deposit and first instalment then they increased the quote because their 'surveyor' had 'missed something' in his original report. No reply to letters and emails asking for refund. Totally untrustworthy charlatans. Luckily i paid on credit card and they refunded the money straight away after I provided evidence of this companies behaviour. Despicable people.

We had 2 flat roof replaced by Proactive Roofing. Alex and Jacob were excellent.
I would score them 10/10. I would be happy to recommend Proactive flat Roofing to anyone.

We also had some repair work done on pitch roof by Rich and Paul. They were very good to come in on a Saturday to complete the work for us which we really appreciate . They were punctual, reliable, skilled, knowledgeable, efficient and informative. I would have no hesitation to recommend Proactive Roofing solutions to others. Brilliant team.

We had a flat roof replaced by Proactive roofing solutions. They subcontracted out to a someone else to do it who left us with a roof that didn't stretch the full length of our property and had left holes of unpatched roof at the edges. This resulted in leaks and water and mould damage in our house. The company sent out someone to fix one leak and found there to be bare fiberglass and unsealed flaps left by the subcontractors. I told the company that we need our roof to cover the whole of our property (obviously) and that we can't rely on our neighbours dilapidated roof to secure us from the rain. We said we would NEVER have agreed to a partial roof. We were told that, yes would should have been informed of the decision but there is nothing we can do now. The roof cost around £20000 and we are left with a roof that leaks and doesn't cover our property. It's shocking. I've 2 small kids and can't have a leaking roof and have no more money to fix it. I can't believe this company has not tried to resolve the fact that our roof does not cover our property. Really sad.

Proactive Flat Roofing Solutions Ltd Disreputable
Proactive Flat Roofing Solutions Ltd. also trade as Vanguard Waterproofing Systems Ltd. are an extremely disreputable company. We carried out works for them on a site at Barking Road , London E13 in 2023, to help rectify a disastrous attempt at a roofing project. Having completed the works to a good standard, that the main contractor would accept and make sure the building was watertight, we were messed around for our money. From a total undisputed bill of £36 K we received £18.3 K and the balance of £17,7K is still outstanding. They have since allegedly sold the company to "Neville Taylor" in an attempt to avoid their debts. This is a well known tactic to avoid the Liquidation process and having to face their creditors. Search Neville Taylor to see for yourself what the story is, he is named on hundreds of companies. They are clearly trading insolvently and the last thing you should do is to pay them any money.
I invite the directors, Paul Newsome and Stephen Day to dispute any of the above, instead of laying low and avoiding creditors.
I have given one star rating, because this is the only way I can post the review, I would give them nothing if I could.
