Terrible app.It either rejects legitimate and current receipts or gives you the points and a day or two later takes the points back with some bs message saying “receipt blurry” or “old receipt “ and the receipts they reject always seem to be the more expensive ones where you get 15 or 20 coins.Checked the app today and found out a $148 receipt they gave me 20 points for days ago was now rejected and my points taken away as well as another expensive receipt that was approved then rejected and points taken away.While I did like the app for awhile it has become too annoying and has too many issues so I will be deleting it and looking for a better app.

I have been using the app since July, diligently scanning receipts. At first, everything seemed fine: a small initial test payout (5 EUR) worked seamlessly. This built trust, so I spent months saving up to reach the 40 EUR tier.

However, the moment I requested the 40 EUR payout, my account was disabled without warning. It feels like a classic "bait and switch" tactic: small amounts are paid out to hook users, but as soon as you try to cash out a significant amount, your account gets locked.

They were happy to accept my shopping data for months, but when it came time to pay up, I was kicked out. Support only responds with canned messages and shows zero interest in resolving the issue.

Conclusion: You invest months of work, provide valuable data, and end up with nothing.

Don't use this app. The past two times I have requested my money Receipt Hog has rejected the claim citing some problem with the receipts I have entered over months. In my opinion that is very unfair. I deleted app

I have now been using Receipt Hog for about eight years and getting rid of this BS app receipt Hog!!!! Fetch is muck better easy to take pictures of your receipt. I will be staying with fetch much,much,much better when taking pictures of your receipt so easy and then they have other incentives, Love Fitch they ROCK❣️

Had 2000 coins which took me more than a year to achieve. Well I learned after that if you dont spend them fast enough they erase them. Nice! Just gave out a bunch of time and infos to this app for free

Back then, I was the one who gave 5 stars for fast payment. HOWEVER, now, the payment process has been made very complicated => There is very late payment or No payment and, it is just a waiting game only to test your patient OR until you forget your payment from Receipt Hog. It's like do they ever issue payment or not? Be careful and, do NOT submit any receipt until you receive any previous payment OR be prepared to forget your efforts and payment.

Terrible app when you post a new receipt it says it’s a duplicate or out of date.when the receipts are brand new. This app is awful. Don’t waste your time I am deleting my app never to use it again.

It was pretty good but connecting the email can be a pain

This app rejects more than half my receipts. I re-enter them and rejected again. Seems to me the receipt that has a biggest dollar amount is rejected. There is no one to report this to either. I am going to uninstall it on my phone as it does nothing! I would say it is not worth it!

Am Anfang war ich begeistert und habe gleich eine Verwandte mitgeworben. Mittlerweile bin ich sehr enttäuscht. In den letzten Tagen wurden Kassenbons wiederholt nicht akzeptiert oder als doppelt bezeichnet oder undeutlich. Punkte, die ich nicht erhalten habe, wurden auch nach zweimaliger Bitte von mir, nicht gutgeschrieben. Die ersten 5 Euro für Paypal habe ich auch nicht bekommen, da kam immer eine Fehlermeldung und das doppelte und dreifache Scannen nimmt sehr viel Zeit in Anspruch.
Update: 20.11.2025Muss diese Bewertung revidieren, die erste PayPal Zahlung habe ich erhalten, nach Erreichen der vorgeschriebenen Punktzahl wurde es mir direkt auf mein Paypal Konto überwiesen. Das war jetzt alles korrekt.Deswegen vier Sterne!

Mega enttäuscht! Etliche Kassenbon hochgeladen, entweder wird angezeigt, dass nicht lesbar oder doppelt hoch geladen wurde. Die Prämie via Amazon oder Paypal gibt es auch nicht! Beim eingegeben Code wird grundsätzlich eine Fehlermeldung gezeigt.
Alles leere Versprechen!!
Werde die App wieder löschen.

Man wird geködert, dass man Belohnungen für Weiterempfehlungen bekommt.
Ich habe 2 neue User zur App gebracht aber den Belohnungen lauf ich seit mehreren Wochen hinterher.
Im Support hat man mich erst vertröstet, dass das Problem bekannt wäre und bald gelöst werden würde. Man bat mich um Geduld.

Dann kam plötzlich die Aussage, die Kunden wären nicht aktiv.
Dann sind sie nach weiteren Mail zwar aktiv aber beigetreten ohne meinen Empfehlungscode.

Der Support widerspricht sich selbst und es ist nicht nur für mich sondern auch für die neuen Kunden doof. Einer hat seinen Willkommensbonus bekommen, die andere nicht.

Durch dieses Agieren wird in mir der Anschein geweckt, dass die App nicht seriös ist.

Prinzipiell ist die Idee toll, wenn alles funktionieren würde.

Bin am Überlegen ob ich sie selbst wieder lösche.

Geräteverifizierung via SMS schlägt fehl, digitale Kassenbons können auch nicht hochgeladen werden.
Abfotografierte digitale Bons werden nicht anerkannt.
Insgesamt relativ unbrauchbar, obwohl die App ansonsten recht gut und übersichtlich ist.

It does take a bit for the points to add up, but i feel like that's any type of receipt add. In the end they all are points that you wouldn't be getting if you weren't scanning receipts.

To many steps with little reward . After finally getting enough for a $40 gift card and with many attempts to retrieve it still can’t figure out how to get it . Customer service office ver little support

I've been using this app for years and got many gift cards. Their customers service is fast and efficient. Highly recommend.

Horrible poorly written app ....had to contact help weekly because they kept locking my account. Sincerely a complete waste of time.

I earned 10 Bonus Hog Spins for completing the August Harvest Bonus but did not receive them even after sending photos of the eligible receipts. Tried numerous times but no response and NO SPINS.
** Also this app keeps sending me messages stating old receipts, blurry receipts, duplicate receipts, incomplete receipts when this was not accurate.
Also was REJECTING receipts after they previously accepted them in prior months. i.e. Gas station Mobil, Convenience stores 7 - Eleven and Liquor Stores etc.

I have tried several times to log in. Have had so many problems I gave up.
