I have been using Honeywell hydronic zone valves for 29 years. The zone valves that were made pre-Covid seemed to last forever. The ones that are made either during Covid or after Covid are junk. I had a 52 unit apartment complex that I changed out all of the zone valves three years ago and currently I have replaced at least 10 of the new powerheads

Uk=much the same customer services and warranty as in USA.Purchased a 2 port valve and failed in 6months,the original supplier was hesitant in swapping so I bought a new one.The Uk manufacturer were just as hopeless arguing the toss over a £79 part that probably cost them a tenner.Very bad will now use a competitor part,noting I have over 80 of these in my systems.
Terrible service, terrible product
Absolutely useless smart thermostat. I would give zero stars if possible. It cannot cope of the WiFi drops and has been down now for several days with the support team no use at all. They do not know what they are doing and do not call back when they say they will. Finally yesterday they admitted the connection to WiFi is a known problem with the tr6, but they do not care enough to fix it.
They make it impossible to complain or talk to someone who knows what they are doing. Terrible service, terrible products.
Avoid, unnecessarily complicated, terrible customer service
I have used Resideo before and unfortunately I am dealing with the same issue again years later.
After moving house and installing a new boiler, the thermostat could not be reconnected because it was still registered to a previous home in the app. I deleted the old home, assuming the device would follow. It did not. The thermostat remained locked on Resideo’s servers, invisible in the app, and impossible to remove or re add.
There is no clear guidance in the app warning users that deleting a home without first removing the device will permanently orphan it. There is also no way to resolve this from within the app. The only solution is contacting customer support to manually release ownership.
For a modern smart heating system, basic device ownership management should not require backend intervention. This is a fundamental design flaw.
I have now chosen to replace the thermostat entirely rather than repeat this process again in the future.
The hardware works. The account management system does not.
HS10S Materialmangel
Honeywell Braukmann, jetzt Resideo, Hausstation HS10S: Filtertasse an diesem sehr teuren Gerät weist jede Menge Microrisse auf und muss gewechselt werden. Kostenpunkt rund 200 Euro. Das Unternehmen ist natúrlich geeicht, der Kundenverscheisserungsdienst hat alle mgl Ausreden bereit, um den offensichtlichen und allseits bekannten Materialmangel zu erklãren. Fakt ist, dass die ihr Plastik so schlecht wählen, dass es Risse kriegt und schliesslich platzt (siehe Forenberichte), großer Wasserschaden garantiert.

Advies: NIET KOPEN!
Na het opsturen van foto's van de Evohome thermostaat met foutmeldingen en beschrijving van niet werkende knop HR91 is men niet in staat aan te geven hoe de problemen op te lossen.
Blijkbaar wordt de supportafdeling bemand door onervaren technici die niet weet wat waar het over gaat. Zeer amateuristisch!
Resideo is een ramp
Waardeloze firma en van klantenservice nog nooit gehoord. Ik gebruik de Evo Home app. Ik stel de temperatuur bij voorbeeld in op 19,5gr., activeer die, kopieer deze naar alle dagen en sla die op. Één of een paar dagen later is het 22gr. Die meerkosten mag ik straks aan Eneco betalen. Ik heb het al minstens 20 x aangepast maar dat helpt niet. Ook start de app regelmatig niet.
Resideo zegt glashard dat ik maar een installateur moet laten komen op eigen kosten. Resideo claimt niet verantwoordelijk te zijn voor een goede werking van de app wat niet waar is;
"Ja, Resideo (de fabrikant achter Honeywell Home) is bij wet verantwoordelijk voor de goede werking van de evohome-app, gebaseerd op Europese richtlijnen voor digitale inhoud en diensten die ook in 2026 van kracht zijn.
De verantwoordelijkheid is als volgt opgebouwd:
1. Leveringsplicht en conformiteit
Volgens EU-richtlijn 2019/770 (geïmplementeerd in de Nederlandse wet) moet digitale inhoud (zoals een app) voldoen aan wat is overeengekomen. Als de app essentieel is voor het gebruik van het product (een 'product met digitale elementen'), valt dit onder de wettelijke garantie. De app moet naar behoren functioneren gedurende de periode die de consument redelijkerwijs mag verwachten.
2. Verplichte updates
Resideo is wettelijk verplicht om updates te leveren:
Beveiligingsupdates: Om de app veilig te houden.
Functionele updates: Om de app werkend te houden bij veranderingen in besturingssystemen (zoals nieuwe iOS- of Android-versies).
3. Aansprakelijkheid bij gebreken
Wanneer de app niet goed werkt, wordt dit gezien als een conformiteitsgebrek.
In eerste instantie is de verkoper (waar u het systeem kocht) uw aanspreekpunt voor herstel.
Echter, omdat de app een directe dienst van de fabrikant is, is Resideo als producent verantwoordelijk voor de achterliggende infrastructuur en software.
4. Beperkingen in algemene voorwaarden
Hoewel Resideo in hun algemene voorwaarden probeert aansprakelijkheid voor bijvoorbeeld tijdelijke serverstoringen te beperken, kan een bedrijf via voorwaarden de wettelijke garantie niet uitsluiten voor consumenten.
Samenvattend: U mag verwachten dat de app werkt zolang de verwachte levensduur van het evohome-systeem loopt. Als de app structureel niet werkt, kunt u de verkoper of Resideo dwingen tot een oplossing via het consumentenrecht. "

Terrible Product: Resideo Smoke Dety
Purchased eight Residio smoke detectors less than three months ago. One was replaced by Resideo within two weeks because it went off without cause. Now, approximately ten weeks after installation a second detector went off at 5 am and again at 8 am even though I removed two of the batteries.

Plus the product is very cheaply made which is the cause of the failure.
Added note. Resideo did respond after another phone call and sent replacement. It seems like they make it difficult on purpose.

Total Connect Comfort app maakt heel slecht verbinding en duurt lang met opstarten. Meerdere gebruikers hebben hier last van. Dit is te lezen bij in de Google Play Store.
Klacht aangemaakt bij Resideo maar ik word niet serieus genomen. Ik heb zelfs aangegeven dat er in de Google Play Store terug te lezen is dat er veel zelfde problemen zijn. Dit lijkt de klanten service van Resideo niet eens na.

Wait until 10 am EST to get support for a thermostat app that does not work? Ridiculous. Honeywell should demand better of third party app makers. A simple scheduling task does not work so the system wastes energy and time in the meanwhile.

Customer service leftme Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
The representative sounded annoyed from the start and had no interest in helping. I was simply asking how often the thermostat’s ambient temperature sensor updates, as the display seemed stuck for hours. Instead of answering, she sighed and kept repeating, “If you’re not happy, return it to the merchant.”
She refused to explain or offer any technical advice, not even a suggestion for reset or calibration. Her tone was unpleasant and dismissive — it felt like she just wanted to hang up.
This wasn’t technical support at all. I left the call feeling frustrated and disrespected. I wasn’t asking for a refund, just a clear answer — and got none..

Be aware they will make your products obsolete
Always was happy with my Resideo T6 thermostat.
But then the T6s were made obsolete bij Resideo without letting customers know.
I was struggling to set everything up again, even with help from the Q&A on their own site and nowhere did they share this information.
It' s bad enough to do this, but not sharing the information with your customers makes it so, I will never buy anything from this fraudulent feeling company again.

Le modèle T6r vendu comme le plus efficace, et bien écran à cristaux liquides HS après 4 ans pour ainsi dire sans utilisation du tactile car utilisation de l’application, bug de celui ci et comme plus d’accès à l’écran et bien il est HS car oui Resideo ne dispose pas de pièce détaché ou de réseau de réparation. Et non vous ne rêvez pas éviter la marque sauf si vous voulez du utiliser à jeter, mais à 250 euros le thermostat…. Vous trouverez moins cher pour aussi bien
