I genuinely couldn't rave enough about Rutland Cycling in Milton Keynes. Alex the sales chap was kind and patient with me and talked me through all the differing options of electric bikes. He even took me out on a ride round MK to test a couple of the bikes, which made my mind up that I wanted a Specialized. Now to save up for one. A lot of shops could learn a lot from staff like Alex who was 100% customer focused and wanted me to make an informed decision.

Just had excellent service from Dominic at the Milton Keynes branch. Polite, responsive and very helpful.

so once again Rutland Cycles Cambridge have gone above and beyond, i used them in the beginning of the year after having mistakenly taken my bike to another shop that does bike and car accessories, only for them to butcher it, Rutland came to the rescue and sorted it out for me then with great service, on the 1st of October I'm embarking on a cycle from John O'Groats to Lands end to raise money for a local charity. i suddenly realised that i hadn't booked my bike in for a service and 1500km is going to take its tole on both me and the bike, a quick phone call to these wonderful people and it was booked in, when i arrived to have it serviced and explained what i was doing they couldnt have been more helpful Colin Especially. he made suggestions about alterations with a no pressure approach. gave my bike an ultimate service and even touched up where the paint had been scratched where the chain had jumped off.

my bike runs better now than when it was new. and he even offered me some parting words of encouragement for when the going gets tough.

Would i recommend them? I wouldn't recommend anyone else now! The cost of the service was very comparable in price but the service was fantastic

Like to offer my appreciation to Jim and the team in the workshop for a superb job tuning-up and getting my road bike in tip-top condition. Extremely knowledgeable and excellent customer service, hence the reason I keep coming back year after year. Heartily recommend Rutland Cycles at Grafham Water.

A bit miffed that we hired three bikes and dog buggy and our Westie was really agitated and unhappy so after barely starting out, we had to return one bike and the buggy. We were told we weren’t entitled to any refund as there was no fault with the equipment. We thought that was a bit harsh, especially as the hire cost over £40 and we retained the other bikes so two of the party could continue. Not great customer service and we certainly won’t be returning ☹️

Just spoke to one staff this morning 10th August 2023 at about 9.52am about servicing my bike or just pumping my tires and he was very snappy and unempathetic. I couldn't believe it as usually they are polite. That chap needs training in customer service as he's a disgrace to the business.

Had an usual case - the frame on my Specialized bicycle cracked after six years of normal use. A discussion with a friend prompted me to look into the warranty situation, which seemed a bit optimistic given the age of the bike but Specialized do indeed offer a lifetime frame warranty for the first owner - with the proviso that I had to submit the warranty claim via an authorised dealer.

Remarkably, I still had the original receipt (from Rutland no less) so, with some trepidation I transported the bike to Rutland half expecting to be laughed out of the store. But no - they were sympathetic and agreed that the bike did not show signs of abuse and agreed to process the claim.

It took a few days for Rutland to inspect the bike and for Specialized to review the report but I was kept updated by Rutland throughout the process and received a phone call from Leo in the Cambridge store telling me that Specialized had agreed to honour the warranty and I was to receive an equivalent, brand new, replacement!

Remarkably, within 24 hours the new bike had been delivered, assembled and was ready for collection. Leo was even careful to transfer various accessories including the fairly new, decent set of tires to the new bike as they were better than the standard equipment.

I cannot fault the service I received from Rutland during this process and would happily recommend them.

I seldom write reviews, but my experience of Rutland Cycling (RC) Cambridge saw me searched for a sixth star!
Having purchased a bike from Evans (sorry), I had a issue with the purchase that Evans were not interested in, all they wanted to 'up sell' a service pack (in a very rude manner).
All this resulted in me making my first visit to Rutland Cycle. The difference was poles apart! Rutland cared and fixed my issue very quickly, and I hadn't even purchased anything from them, at that point!
To measure Rutland against Evans would be measuring with a bent stick, one cares and one doesn't. Keep doing what you are doing Rutland, you have a new customer here.

Ian at Rutland cycling saved the day for me when I had a problem with my speed sensor in my e bike . Planning on leaving the bike with him to sort out, he calls within minutes of leaving and found problem . Got bike fixed . Brilliant . So very helpful and welcoming .

Called into the Leicester branch late in the day to get a defective Pirelli tyre looked at and replaced, staff were knowledgeable and helpful and despite closing soon swiftly fitted the tyre and bagged the old one for me. Thanks guys

Recently popped in to MK store look at a new bike, I had no intention of purchasing on the day - but Suresh offered me a demo ride, answered a load of really daft questions and nothing seemed too much trouble. He seemed to understand what I was trying to achieve and needless to say I left that day with a new bike! Thanks Suresh! Yes I have joined the world of ebikes - but this has already been the best purchase ever as I can now keep up with my pals up hills without excessive pressure on my heart - as I had a heart attack a year or so ago!

Went to the Milton Keynes branch with a tricky comfort issue. Very happy to give praise to Suresh who helped above and beyond, not only recommending a part but as the shop was quiet he fitted it for me too.

I had an ortlieb laptop pannier split a seam after over 4 years into it's 5 year warranty. The return process was straightforward and Rutland returned the item to the distributor swiftly, who confirmed it could not be repaired, and I was offered a replacement or refund straight away.

A refreshingly straightforward process, and many thanks to Andrew Lewin for his help with this.

Really helpful. Looking for replacement for headset for 12 yr old Specialized bike, Tom proving determined to exhaust all possibilities. I'm impressed.

Ordered a bike for next day delivery on the 31st May, the bike didn't arrive. I complained and was then promised it would ship on the 2nd June for next day delivery, it didn't arrive. I checked the tracking on Monday the 5th June, it showed the bike as not having been collected. Rutland said the driver must have forgotten to 'scan the package'. Seven days later and the tracking shows the bike was NOT collected by TNT, however they refuse to refund my £600 'as the bike might be delivered' so I'm £600 down with no bike.....nice

I had a problem with my e-bike, I called Rutland Cycling in MK and they were able to look at the bike within 30 mins. Dominic was fantastic diagnosing and fixing the problem within minutes. I was able to continue my ride as planned - just great service.
