I originally emailed to enquire about sizing and got no reply. I then used their contact form and got a reply within 20 mins, so I think there is a genuine issue with the email.
Ordered a Coomax Cover Pro vest (ordered through Amazon for ease). Estimated delivery was 29th to 30th December, but it came today. Quality appears to be excellent - hopefully I will never have to rely on it.
But my experience with them has been very good, and will definitely use them again.

I purchased a vest for my husband. After paying, upon delivery they sent me an email wanting more money. This is unacceptable and suspicious. I was cautious and felt very uncomfortable. It felt as though it was a scam. I did not give my cc Info. for additional duty fee. I am still waiting for cc credit. I may have to do a CC claim.

Shipping company wants duty fee to deliver. So I guess free shipping is not free. I declined to pay so it will be sent back I guess. Very misleading by safeguard. Do not recommend buying from this company if your in the US.

:Update messaged the websites contact email regarding order quick reply around 30 minutes and let's me know it'll be 5-7days has arrived today and appears exactly as ordered would just suggest better communication from my experience

Second update the Carrier has dried blood on it.....small amount but it's still blood

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid, this company owed me £41.50, due to an exchange for a smaller vest. No calls returned, no emails answered, had to involve my bank to investigate and obtain my refund for me. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I ordered a vest $ 900 ,they quickly took money! 6 months later! Never got it

VORSICHT! Absolut schlechter Support. Rechnungen werden fehlerhaft und ohne Mehrwertsteuer ausgestellt. Auf Nachfrage kann nichts geändert werden und Rücksendungen sind nicht möglich!

A week ago, i paid for "COVERT/OVERT VEST - BLACK", but the order seems to have been ignored as there are no status updates on the order/tracking page, it's not even shipped out yet. I started to grow worried, and Emailed SafeGuardClothing at the official customer support address, but it got ignored. So i emailed again, and again, but so far i got entirely ignored. I am in Netherlands, and they claim worldwide shipping is possible, they even have a specific NL site to buy their items, i expected to be able to get this stab and bulletproof vest to raise my confidence living in a rough area of my village, as i have experienced violence before. I am quite upset now that they seem to be attempting to scam me, and take my money without ever sending the item, or replying to me about what's going on. I will see if PayPal can help get the money back, but it was a balance payment and not CC, so i doubt there's as much buyer protection in this case. I will also seek to report this company for scamming, or if i somehow manage to get my money back, for Attempted Scamming. If they still ship my item, reply to me in a decent way, or take initiative to return my money and explain why this happened, i may be willing to remove or modify this review. But so far it looks like they want to scam, or that the company is no longer operational yet still accepts orders.

Be careful, people, unreliable company. I saw the other review saying that they stonewalled him, well, it clearly is happening to me here, albeit at a different stage: without ever hands on with the item.

// Edit (3 days later): they finally began to answer, and said there was warehouse delays but that they asked for it to be shipped the same day, which has worked, as i received the UPS tracking info moments later. So far it looks like it's going to work out, and also they claim that no emails were received, if that's truthful then it means the website contact form was my only savior to bring it to their attention. I don't know if its true, if it is so, then they got a misconfigured mail server: i am using Hotmail and never heard such a thing from any global recipient or company before, and i've sent them screenshots with timestamps. Anyways, i gave them the recommendation to improve customer services, and im satisfied that it was no scam and im still set to receive the vest after all, even with a bit of trouble. Once in contact, they were friendly. But know, if someone in the future can't reach them by traditional Email, maybe they didnt fix whatever the problem on their mail server was, you'd need to use the website Contact form to work around that for whatever reason, or it wasn't true (that they may not care/reach out to inquiries unless you make noise and leave bad reviews).

Unfortunately cannot recommend safeguard at all.

I purchased a Coolmax II level to body armour, on the on the 26/12/2022, and shipping went fine for me, however receive a product which the Kevlar panels expires on the third month of 2023, just 3 months after the purchase date, I have called and sent multiple emails to the company safeguard clothing, asking them how so send my new panels or returning the vest however they are nor responding!!!

Now I have read several reviews of the company and its sister company safeguardarmor.com, and this is a common theme, anybody who tries to have a product returned, seemingly always get stonewalled, it´s really a shame because the vest is actually all right for the price, even though it is not covert!! as advertised, but it’s manageable to have under loosefitting clothes, without it being too noticeable! so that is not even my grievance, however receiving something that expires, only three months after purchasing it ridiculous, and does not live up to any standards or warranty much less (NIJ) standard.

That is why I cannot recommend Safeguard clothing or its sister company´s.
