Dont bother I have had mine for two…

Dont bother I have had mine for two years they upgrade the firware and you lose the ink you had Told to switch ink to different ink now £160. No money back for the other 2 sets of ink I have not used and customer service takes weeks not days as they only do it via email. Buy another brand if your in the UK.

Never buy products from Sawgrass.

The printer is probably a good printer as long as you use sawgrass ink which costs about 10 X as much as the off brand ink. But if you do, they void the warranty and make sure that the printer doesn't work. I get that they void the warranty, but making the printer not work is UGLY. I will never entertain purchasing anything from sawgrass technologies in the future, and will be loud about my experience. I spent a long time and a lot of money on the SG1000 only to not be able to use it at all because I purchased off brand ink.

Their Customer "Care" is Non-Existent

Their customer service is non-existent! I cannot get my designs to save or print. Those people on Youtube must've been paid a shit ton of money to lie about how user-friendly this printer and software is!

I initially liked the design setup but it will not save or print. You can't speak to anyone for help. I believe I've gotten through to a human but they will email only and it's 10-20 minutes between emails and we are getting nowhere!

Since purchasing my SG1000 as an…

Since purchasing my SG1000 as an upgrade from my 500 I HAVE BEEN VERY DISAPPOINTED. I have wasted many hours trying to get the software to work consistently The software is complete and utter RUBBISH. It would take me ages to explain all the issues. Just read all the other reviews. Many times I have had to use a work around. You can bypass the software by selecting 'Sawgrass SG1000' AND NOT 'SAWGRASS PRINT UTILITY' However you will still have some issues but it might get you out of trouble. Good Luck.

All our business designs for customers are lost

We have a 3d printing and product printing business for t shirts, mugs, tumblers and have lost all of our creations on sawgrass because some idiots at this wretched company decides to change the software and make all our files unrecoverable if we didn’t move files before they changed. We had our designs and weren’t designing new until after spring. The deadline apparently was Feb 2025. Now all is lost of 4 years of business. Do not do business with Sawgrass ever!!! I found out they have done this twice in 7 years!
What a despicable company to deal with, and they didn’t even apologize just told us we should have been online and paid more attention, wow! 😮
We were busy selling our designs. I hope you lose your business

Never again

Never again! Had a SG400 for about seven years, built up my customer designs in the sawgrass creative studio design studio. This is the 2nd time within the seven years that they have updated and changed the software - the first time making me have to save and move all my designs as png (losing half of the customisation ability) to transfer across, then the software templates were not the same and took some getting used to after the stress of moving all the designs whilst trying to sell to my customers and their customer service was appalling and now I have had a long break since December and just went to print customer product to find sawgrass have discontinued creative studio - meaning all my designs are completely lost (I message sawgrass and don't even get an apology). Sawgrass the whole idea of sublimation and buying an expensive printer with creative studio is so I can sell to my customers relatively easy - however you have totally disregarded the fact that people spend hours designing products and selling them only for you to change the design studio not once but twice (maybe even more times?). I have never come across such an unprofessional company who has little regard for it's customers, I certainly will never buy another sawgrass product again.

After three years of working with the…

After three years of working with the Sawgrass 500 and 1000, I am deeply disappointed. I don't understand why they decided to change the software, and to make matters worse, we lost all the data we had saved over the past few years. The new software is incredibly slow, full of issues, and simply unusable for my workflow. It just doesn’t make sense. Unfortunately, I have no other option but to purchase a new printer and switch to a different software.

I use to love my sawgrass

I use to love my sawgrass. Until they changed the software . Instead of correct ing issues with the new software company is blaming the user. Wrong. What I loved
the most was once printer was set up all I had to do is send to print. Perfect colors. Nit with new software. Fix it or leave the old one working. Won't recommend your printers again.

I no longer recommend Sawgrass printers

I have been using Sawgrass printers for about 3 years. I have the Sg500 and the Sg1000. I had always been very happy with the printer's performance until they changed their printing software. The colors coming out of the printer using their new software are nowhere near as vibrant or detailed as they should be. For the price of their inks and printers, I've always loved the conveience of being able to plug in my printers and get excellent quality colors without having to waste expensive ink, and blanks to achieve this. This is no longer the case. I'm very disappointed in this company and no longer recommend them. I'd look into the Epson F170 or F570 if looking for a quality sublimation printer.

AVOID....unless they bother to sort out their new software

Used to love my Sawgrass 500, until they got rid of the software and updated it to Print Utility which only produces POOR QUALITY prints. They have had months to sort out the print quality issues and left us all 'in the s**t' as we now cannot print for our businesses.

Spent years using their expensive inks as it was worth it for the print quality....but DON'T BOTHER unless they sort out these issues.

They also got rid of their design software so all customers lots their years of work and had to redesign everything in new software!

SORT IT OUR SAWGRASS before you lose all of your customers!

I purchased the SG500 last July and it…

I purchased the SG500 last July and it was the biggest waste of money. I don’t print often and the constant updates and head cleans drains the (very expensive) ink. As well as this, there is a new update which is changing the size of the prints when sent to print utility so yet again wasting ink as well as paper and of course precious time.
Also, trying to contact someone at Sawgrass is a nightmare. Saying at first I had no account, which of course I do. Several phone calls with no advisor available. Finally on their chat to be advised I would be sent an email. I’m seriously looking into the Epson that I should have purchased in the first place.

Miserable F@#*s

The printer in itself theres not much of a problem with the prints. The printer eats the ink like nothing normal, and waists so much! Not only that but the price of ink is ridiculous. It was too much, so for a while while I wasn't using it much I bought a different ink which worked perfect.

Until the most recent update on their print manager. Unless using their ink (at almost 4 times the price), they will put a big black criss cross grid through it making it unusable. I WILL NOT BE BUYING THEIR INK AGAIN!!

ALTHOUGH MORE OF A COST TO MYSELF AND MY BUSINESS I WILL GO OUT OF MY WAY TO BUY ANOTHER PRINTER -

So the jokes on them, if my review stops one person from buying a sawgrass I'll take it as a win!

SAWGRASS is nothing but a money hungry, greedy corporation. Just crushing small businesses and side hustles!! Ridiculous

Bought the machine & it seemed ok... Not as good as an Epsom printer.
So if you want a printer for Sublimination, stop here & buy an Epson

Just Google Epson Eco Tank or sublishop in the UK

I would of put the full link in here but unable too...

Ok... Onward. if you were stupid enough to purchase the 🐕💩 that is a Sawgrass printer.

Cover it in 🐕💩 and send it back to them.. They will soon get the message when they lose sales & they no longer have a business.

When anyone informs you that their Ink is far more superior & you must use it to enable your printer to work with the software supplied... BE VERY CAUTIOUS... As this is just a tactic to sell you overpriced ink.

This was done in the past with HP printers & they ended up in court & had to make sure that if you use your printer you can do what the hell you like with it.

Sawgrass hide behind this by forcing you to buy ink to enable you to use their software... NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PRINTER...

SO IF I HAVE STOPPED AT LEAST ONE PERSON FROM BUYING TOTAL 🐕💩, THE I HAVE SUCCEEDED in my quest..

I’ve been using the SG500 and SG1000…

I’ve been using the SG500 and SG1000 printer now for several years and I’m absolutely happy with it. The ink is a bit pricey if you compare it with other company. Their subscription is optional but you get some useful designs for the price however if you’re in the UK like myself you can’t use their market app. But I’ll be able once I move back to the us. The customer service department is good too the only downside is the chatbot that is annoying.

Waving goodbye and good riddance to Sawgrass

I have been using Sawgrass products for over 15 years and I've decided to wave goodbye to this company. I can no longer pass along the costs to my customers for their orders because the expense outweighs the want for the products. It's simply "sharking" when a company is focused on such incredible profit for inks and to hold you ransom should you wish to purchase off brand inks. I have moved to Epson and never looked back. Sawgrass and the PrintMate company they partnered with are certainly focused inward and not on the consumer. I'm back to making a profit, producing high quality sublimated products, my customers are lining up for the orders and Sawgrass is the one left out in the cold.

Terrible printers

This is possibly the worst printing company ever. Everything they do is about selling you vastly overpriced ink, and I mean very expensive ink. They don't allow you to print unless you use their virtual printer. This means if you can't get online for any reason you can't print. The reason they use a virtual printer is to check you are not using 3rd party inks, if you use 3rd party inks they intentionally print a watercolour mark over your picture. The colours are not vibrant and they print lines in your prints when the cartridges are 70% full to get you to buy new inks sooner. The Sawgrass printers used to be owned by a company called ricoh, I had 2 of these printers for 10 years, they were very good printers but then Sawgrass the ink company bought the rights to the printer, installed software on the new models and now it's all about how much ink they can get you to buy. Trust me they are trying to get you to buy a lot. I bought a new SG500 Sawgrass printer and regret it. The printer never works properly and because the virtual printer keeps crashing, the jobs that took a couple of hours, now take 7 or 8 hours. If you value your time and money then my advice is to stay away from sawgrass ink , their printers and any printers that use their software.
