Made an appointment I never asked for

Made an appointment I never asked for, for an injection I didn't need. Then a year later decided I wasn't eligible for the injection. How is that possible? There is no way for me to get the injection even if I wanted it now because I'm not eligible...but they made me an appointment without my asking for it. I just want them to admit they were wrong to try and inject me. I haven't been back to the NHS since and hopefully never will. I'd suggest legal action but the government are the courts so they will investigate themselves and find they did nothing wrong. DO NOT TRUST THE NHS

Third World Health Service

My wife eventually managed to speak to a doctor at our local practise regarding severe pain in her hip. Was prescribed pain killers and had to wait for an appointment with the local physiotherapist. After this appointment she was sent to Crosshouse Hospital for an X-ray which we never had access to. Pain continued to get worse and she was only given an increase in pain killers. It got the the stage my wife could not lie in bed but only cat nap in a chair. She also developed bowel problems with the number of painkillers being taken. All the indications were my wife required a hip replacement but this could not be recommended until another physiotherapist at the hospital viewed the X-ray. Waiting list for this is 22 weeks then another 18 months is a hip operation is required. There was no other option but to pay for a private consultant to give an opinion. Booked a visit to Ross Hall and the consultant had a copy of the X-ray on his desk when we arrived. He never needed to carry out any tests and said that after looking at the X-ray the only solution was a hip replacement. I looked at the X-ray which clearly showed one hip where bone was rubbing against bone. Stevie Wonder could see a hip replacement was needed. Have had no option but to book the operation private at a cost of over £14,000 which will result in some form of our home house sale to fund this. After paying National Insurance for 50 years, and never having ever needed any medical help, this is what it has come to. We now have a third world tag for our health service and the only way forward is to scrap national insurance and the population take out private medical insurance.

If you travel around the world ever…

If you travel around the world, you'll find that even many third-world countries offer better healthcare than the GP clinics in the UK. It’s unbelievable how little value is placed on human health here. I was recently told by my GP clinic that the earliest available appointment would be in two weeks. This is unacceptable. I haven’t used NHS doctors regularly for a long time, but it’s clear they don’t care about the impact of reviews or complaints. The system just doesn’t work. The level of care and response time is shameful for a country of this size and resources.

Have just been round in circles registering for an account to go paperless for my council tax. I am so annoyed at how awful this is and how difficult to navigate, I have just revoked my account. Just dreadful Scotgov, not intuitive, a total waste of my time.

Scottish Embassies

I am disgusted to read that the Scottish government has bought and set up nine offices abroad to promote Scotland. How much has this cost??
I'm sure everyone will agree the money would be better spent here, on our NHS for example??
They should be held to account on this.

Doctors and Consultants that work in…

Doctors and Consultants that work in the NHS Grampian and at Albyn Hospital, while in NHS one Consultant states that the patient needs bladder outflow surgery - obstruction surgery, TURP, alternative Lazer Modalities, then another Consultants says he is not getting the surgery, four Consultants seen in the NHS over a three year with my severe Urinating Problems. My GP told me 18 months ago that I would get that operation in three months time, did he mean 30 years time, All Doctors and Consultants just put you on the Magic Roundabout, and round and round you go, hoping you will die in the meantime. They can refuse to help patients with operations, some are then forced to go private to Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen, then the same Doctor or Consultants that have refused you NHS treatment will see you and Quote you £7000-00 for the operation that the NHS says you need but they will not do the operation for you, So basically the NHS no longer treats NHS Patients that they say need the operation, and years later they are suffering long term problems that are getting worse, The NHS put you on numerous false flag exercises to make it look as it they are interested in helping you, when they are basically KILLING YOU, so an NHS DOCTOR gets paid to look after NHS patients but refuses to do so, but will help you Privately and charge you £7000.00.
Just found out that your GP and Hospital can send you to other health boards, but if they are trying to kill you then they will not do that, I know two other people that have the same problems as I have, they had the operation on the NHS, one in 5 months the other in 7 months, I have had this problem for three years, Remember here in Scotland you have to look after your own health, the NHS and your GP will not do that. I believe it is part of NHS Grampian GENOCIDE POLICY. Remember NHS Grampian can put you to other Hospitals in Scotland, but if they are wanting to make money, then they will not do that, this would be detrimental to NHS Grampian Urology Doctors and Consultants making loads of money from your health conditions at Albyn Hospital. Money that is what they want, your health is irrelevant.so if you cannot pay the High Price to get cured. Then Tough Luck, a bit like the Concentration Camps. Is this another COVERUP like the Rodney Ledware case, where the NHS was covering everything up for years, all the woman he damaged, something they are experts at, then the Harold Shipman case were he may have killed up to 250 people and again the Health Board kept on covering everything up, now we have the case of all the Babies in the Maternity NHS hospital at Shrewsbury & Telford over 600 babies died because on negligence over many years, again the NHS covering it up, no alarm bells ringing with all the deaths, if Doctors were dying at as fast a rate as these babies were dying then something would have been done urgently
The CEO of Grampian Health Board says she takes complaints SERIOUSLY, What a Joke, 3 years ignoring and doing nothing, remember the NHS BURY OR CREMATE THEIR MISTAKES. If a NHS Urology Doctor did 20 Prostate operations in 20 days at Albyn Hospital at £7000.00 per operation, that is £140.000 that is more money for 20 days work than he gets in a years NHS Salary, I was advised after I had a urine flow test in December 2020 that my urine flow was weak, well I did not need to go to the Hospital to be told that, I was told that they would have me back in a few weeks for another test, that never happened, I had another appointment with the NHS today, I had the Flow test again, it was again weak. I was put on a tablet for this by my GP in November 2020, then I was put on a second tablet, but I had a reaction to that tablet, Today I was asked if I would try another tablet, I said NO, Then I was told that they did not know if this problem was my Prostate or if it was a bladder problem, so I was put on a Prostrate tablet two years ago but nobody had any idea if it was a prostate problem or a bladder problem, so now three years later they do not know if it is my Prostate or my Bladder.
I see my review is being sent to the Scottish Government to see, THEY HAVE NO INTEREST IN PATIENTS SUFFERING IN THE COLLAPSING NHS

NHS SCOTLAND IS DISGUSTING

NHS SCOTLAND IS DISGUSTING, FULL OF GPS WITH ONE GOAL! DOPE YOU UP WITH MEDICATION SO THEY GET COMMISSION FROM PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES. NEGLIGENCE IS RIFE TO THE POINT WHERE THEY ARE KILLING PEOPLE. ( LOOK AT ALL THE COURT SETTLEMENTS) TOTALLY INCOMPETENT IF THEY DID NOT HAVE A COMPUTER IN FRONT OF THEM THEY WOULD NOT HAVE A CLUE. THE NHS PUBLICITY AT THE BEGINNING OF COVID WAS UTTER RUBBISH. NOT ONE OUNCE OF CARE FOR PATIENTS OR THE PUBLIC. IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY!! LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE NOWADAYS!

What’s happened to nhs Scotland

What’s happened to nhs Scotland, it’s like no one cares, 6 months treated for constipation until I put foot down. Turned out to be bowel cancer, total incompetence. Another wait of 3 months for operation with no communication.
Told everything was a success only to be told 3 months later I needed chemo!!
I feel the nurses are only there to administer drugs, there is nothing caring or compassionate about them.
After paying taxes for 50 years plus ridiculous. Glad I don’t have to pay as treatment has been diabolical a dog would be treated better

Mygovscot is almost unworkable as a website. Try registering for a ‘buspass’. Ninety minutes later, zero progress. It would be easy to think Scotland is a third world country with IT systems as unworkable as this. It’s lamentable.

Why is NHS Scotland aping NHS England instead of dismissing it as it deserves?

NHS Scotland has a reputation for being substantially superior in most respects to NHS England, a reputation based in part on structural differences which mean that England could never be better than Scotland. However, Scotland can degenerate to the level of England, despite structural superiority. The principal issue is character, as indicated in the final sentence of the review of NHS England--a finding of fact that NHS England's 'professionals' are self-possessed, very taken with their own frankly meagre abilities. Holyrood needs to thoroughly review the powers Scottish law allows the NHS and more generally medical personnel. They certainly need to be very dramatically curtailed.

My experience so far is one star, a ringing statement of no confidence in England and anything smacking of NHS England imported into Scotland. Scotland must disregard English mistakes, misconduct, and poor character. Or it will end up as abusive as England can be. Independence from England if merely political is not anything at all--it must reflect true independence. Independence of thought, independence of heart, independence of mind. Round 1 with NHS Scotland proved a bitter lesson and stands as a stinging rebuke of England and a shot across the bow to Scotland that independence must actually mean something other than mere mindless nationalism.

COVID runs amok in Glasgow

The Scottish Government correctly locked Aberdeen down for 4 weeks, which included a travel ban. The city recovered because of that. Sadly, they haven’t done the same for the people of Glasgow and surrounding authorities, which meant the virus could travel throughout the central belt of Scotland. Now the virus is out of control. Don’t the people of Glasgow count when it comes to protecting their health?

I today received letter from ScotCen…

I today received letter from ScotCen informing me that without my permission I would be getting a visit from an interviewer from ScotCen Social Research and unless i phoned 0800 652 2704 to say I did not want to take part they would send someone to interview me.
I phoned ScotCen to say I did not want anyone calling at my address and was told that Royal Mail was the source of my details and their database was public and as they could not find my details on the ScotCen computer they would try to stop one of their interviewers attending my address but could not be certain.
I am furious that RoyalMail presumably sold them my details and also that ScotCen feel they have the right to send an interviewer to my address without my permission.
ScotCen claim in their letter to be associated with The Scottish Government, The NHS and The Office for National Stastistics. I have no idea if they are affiliated to these bodies but I do know that as an OAP I don't want people calling at my address uninvited and with no way of me knowing if they are con men.
