In a recent catalogue we noticed a pair of step ladders which may have suited our requirements. However although the overall sizes were given the height of each step was not which was important to us.
I then used their online enquiry line to ask the question and received an automated reply promising a response within 48 hours. After over a week I had not received a reply so enquired again and received another automated reply once again stating that they would reply within 48 hours. I am still waiting for the courtesy of a reply. TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Voile curtains have hardly any weight in them but had to pay £6.95 for Hermes to deliver.
I use Hermes to send parcels and it would never cost this much for such a light item to be shipped.

Purchased Laguiole Style 24 piece Bistro Cutlery Set. After a few weeks occasional use a rivet fell out of a fork of this supposedly high quality product.
What a shambles
I ordered blankets at the end of March and the money was immediately taken from my account.i rang them mid April and was told they were expecting them on the 17th and would take 4 working days to get to me from the courier. I contacted them again 27th April and was told its NOT 4 days its 10 and the blankets should be with them on 15th May giving the war in Ukraine as a poss reason for the delay I was also told it was a pre
order..nowhere on my info did it say pre order.I rang on May 17th to chase up the progress and Nick told me they should be with me in a couple of days. I rang again on 23rd of May and Jasmine said " they should be with us on June 15th" at which point I cancelled the order. The only good
thing is that my refund came through quickly.
From what I understand, the shop is great but the online experience means I will NEVER order from this company again.

Items in a multiple order dispatched (a) individually (b) late (c) not at all. No notification regarding (c) being no longer available despite having very promptly taken my money. Shoddy customer service, will not use again.
Will not respond to a compaint
I bought a battery which failed in less than a year. I made a complaint from their webpage and there has been no response after 14 days. They say they willtry to respond in 48hrs and are open 7days a week.
i have sent several e-mails and still no response.
They charge 7p a minute on the phone which no doubt is how they increase their profits and decrease their customer service.
Don’t use this company
Will not be using this company again. Ordered 2 items and only one arrived. Sent two emails both of which have been ignored. Rang customer services - no apology, just said missing item would be sent out. Still not received it.

Problems right from the start when ordering. Product was faulty so emailed their customer service department. They never replied so I phoned their customer service number and they constantly lied and made excuses and promised to phone me back and surprise surprise they never did. I phoned again and asked to speak to the customer service supervisor Ms H.Gittins who after a lot of bad excuses said she would refund me and guess what three weeks later still no refund! The most incompetent company I've ever dealt with! I would have given them 0 stars but it wasn't an option.

I ordered 3 carpet runners, that did not turn up even though they were stock items, the money was taken from my account. i tried with out success to contact Scotts until May I was then told that the item had been discontinued and so had to ask for my money back.
No apology not even a sorry. This will be the last time I order from here, I was a long time cusomer.
I recently purchased a 5 litre neostar…
I recently purchased a 5 litre neostar perma therm water boiler, it is now 3 weeks later and over the past 5 days it has developed a fault where the green LED screen flickers and the black digits disappear and/ or the water does not dispense with the pump making a deep moaning noise ( like it's run out of water). I called customer service who told me that i may be just in time to return it and to print a label and contact the courier company to collect and return at my cost (£6.95) this can take 5-10 days where they will test the function and if found faulty ( it's an intermittent fault, 4 out of 6 days it's done it for me lasting up to an hour .... I have video evidence.....so luck of the draw is it may not do it for the duration of the test), IF found faulty they will send a replacement if not they will return the faulty one back to me again at my expense. So having spent £70 on the kettle 3 weeks ago may end up costing me an extra £13.90 for postage only to receive my original faulty kettle back with a fault that appears to be getting worse AND be left without a kettle for at least 3 weeks. So the moral of the story is SCOTTS OF STOW faulty returns policy really suck their customer service department is ignorant, incompetent and deplorable at best. My advice is save Ur money and buy elsewhere and if Ur thinking about this kettle buy it from B&Q who have a 12month no quibble returns policy. This is my second kettle of this type and that lasted me 8 years with no issues

Poor experience ordering
I went online to order two items which I had sen in a Scott’s of Stow catalogue. Only one was available but the website was advertising 20% off so I was not unhappy. I tried twice to place the online order, but it did not go through, so I had to telephone.
Spoke to a very nice man who ordered both items for me and applied the code, stating it was 20% off. I now have my order confirmation with no discount applied.
Complete shambles. I will report back on the reply to my query re: discount
Good service in issuing refund.
