AVOID buying from this company. They take your money and don't deliver and 'customer service' is shockingly poor. I've chased them up 3 times now and I and beginning to suspect the responses I am getting are no more than a batch of automated replies: non committal comments that plants should be dispatched next week. Of course still no plants. No telephone number to call them on.. I ordered 48 plants and only received 23. I'm not holding my breathe for the rest of the plants or the refund I have requested.

The plants arrived in a dry, tangled state. I contacted the company several times via their website, email and on their FB page. Eventually I got an 'apology' with the promise that they would send out a replacement order. However nothing has arrived. I have tried again, many times, via emails, FB and their website. On FB, 'Rebecca' asked me to send another email for attention of her, personally, so I felt hopeful. I shouldn't have done. No more plants, no answers. Terribly disappointed. And out of pocket

I've ordered many times from this company and there's always something wrong with the order often they don't supply all of the plants I've ordered so I'm paying a big postage charge for not many plants which is uneconomical. Now another problem is wrong varieties or plants that are dead on arrival and the dead on arrival plants arrived with plants that look perfectly healthy so I assume they were dead when they were packed. My latest order was for 10 plants they supplied 6 and one plant is definitely a wrong variety and 2 plants that should have bronze leaves have plain green leaves which does not sound right. I contacted them by email 3 times and they have not answered me. They gave me no details of refunds for the for plants they could not supply so I'll have to go into my my bank account to find out what's happened. To sum up variable quality plants, wrong varieties and shocking customer service

I’d recommend that you don’t use this company. Customer Service is really poor and condition of plants (if you even get the right ones) isn’t great.

This trading style "Secret Gardening Club" is now owned by Barnaby Holdings Limited, Company number SC737535 i.e a Scottish Company. The Directors are GOODWILL, Samuel William Barnby and WADDINGTON, Emma Jane Goldie. The registered office and the Registered Office and Correspondence Address is 8a Tweed Mills, Dunsdale Road, Selkirk, United Kingdom, TD7 5DZ, which is the office of their new accountants.The company was set up on 5th July 2022.
In the 2021 Accounts for Yorkshire Lavender all Directors including the above two signed the accounts on the 20th December 2021 with a commitment to "provide such financial support as is required to enable the company to pay its obligations for a year following the approval of these financial statements, and as such are satisfied that they can continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements"
Clearly they have not done so and so hundreds of customers and suppliers have lost out!!

Ignoring thousands of customers who you owe money too, including myself as if it’s your right to keep everyone’s money and deliver zero goods. No reply to any emails sent to you (oh apart from one back at the beginning of August which stated a refund would be issued, but quell surprise no refund).

You continue to bombard me with emails offering me deals on plants, but can’t be bothered to give me back my money for order #SGC158323 which you have had in your bank since November 2021!!! You can be sure I will be adding my complaint to the ever growing number of people reporting you to Trading Standards.

Now I see that you are limiting comments on your Facebook posts so other people won’t be aware of what you have done and probably will continue to do!

I don’t know if I will ever see my refund but I sincerely hope that you get everything you deserve for blatantly ripping customers off!

Obviously I would give you zero stars but unfortunately I have to give you at least one. But you in no way deserve even that!

I received an order with two completely dead plants in it and was promised a refund. I placed another order and received 4 dead plants. 5 Months have now elapsed from my first order but I am updating my review as I have received a credit code, placed an order and received new plants today. The company was taken over and computer system changed so hopefully their customer services will now be quicker but I am happy to have replacements. I have knocked 'one' star off for the inconvenience of the 5 months wait for this to be sorted by their customer services.

As with nearly everyone else, thing started really well, I ordered my plants, they arrived in a good state, so I purchased a Good Will Pass to get 50% off further orders. My second order was battered, some of the lavenders did not flourish, even when planted in the same area, I did however get a refund. Then I lost my password, I contacted them many times with no response, I even tried to call, no joy. I feel swindled, they take your money and to hell with customer services! Poor show, very dissapointed!

I would advise not ordering from this company…the orders are either later cancelled (and refunds EXTREMELY slow and requiring repeated emails) or do not arrive (again refunds are offered but are very slow to materialise)

Ordered three plants, one was dead on arrival so complained and got totally ignored. Would never deal with them again.

So apparently they've now changed hands! I'm owed about £50-60 in refunds from orders that they cancelled way back in may! I've been offered a gift voucher. Sound good? Yeah but when they don't deliver what you order, is there any point? I also bought a 1yr 50% discount voucher and I'm wondering if that is null and void now?

Have tried to pay for an order with a voucher which is valid until Dec. There is absolutely no way to redeem it and total silence to my requests for help and advice.
How is this company still able to trade?
I suppose I can wave goodbye to my money.
Extremely disappointed.

really poor service. I paid for plant in jan this year and was advised I would have a refund in may as the plants were not available. I have been emailing regularly and initially received promises of a refund, but they have never materialised. So they have had my money since jan with nothing in return. How are they still allowed to trade, I know they are as still get emails re their latest deals !!!!!! Would never buy off them again and would advise no one else to

Having tried and tried to get a refund for my pre-ordered May order, I’m getting nowhere fast. At the start I got a response, but now nothing. There isn’t even a phone number. I’m wishing I’d never tried this company, but the concept sounded good. Such a shame. They must owe so much to frustrated customers.

Received an order recently from them. The contents totally battered in transit. Essential what arrived was a box of soil and broken plants likely due to yodel the courier. Have sent several emails and still no reply 2 weeks later. Sadly I won’t being using this company again. Very disappointing.

I have ordered frequently from this company and always supported them on social media as my experience was positive although very slow to arrive the plants were of lovely standard, i last placed an order on 28th June and despite 15 chasing emails it has never arrived, promises of refunds and replacement plants were received but still nothing, I obtained a number to call them on, was told it would be resolved, tried the same number today but unobtainable now… they are still continuing to advertise on their website and Facebook please, please avoid otherwise you will be out of pocket like I am.

I bought £56 worth of plants from this company over 3 weeks ago. There was an error on my order which I contacted.them about immediately. I heard nothing back and.have not recied the order. I've emailed multiple times and called them. Nothing. This is like stealing. I will try to get my bank to help and see if there is some modern day trading standards I can report them to. Do NOT be tempted by the attractive deals.

Used these guys a few times as the plants are very good value when available. However invariably the order takes a long time to arrive and offer parts of it are then cancelled weeks/months later.

Recently they’ve now started deleting orders and not giving refunds. No response to chasers.

I ordered quite a bit from this company up to early this year and all ok; then, like other reviewers I received a message saying that they could not deliver the the order in May that I have pre-ordered several months earlier. They offered a refund or a credit. I asked for a refund of the £35. Since then like either review is absolutely no response to repeated emails, and no phone number to call them on. Really disrespectful and disappointing customer service. If they really couldn't afford refunds they should have promoted the credit note approach. I am really annoyed to be continuing to receive their promotional emails offering more plants. I feel incredibly insulted. What was good about them was that you could buy plants in small quantities, which many of the online nurseries do not enable. But from now on I will just stick to buying plants in season at the supermarket.
