Our expectations for Casa Melograno II, the villa and it's private location were fully met met as soon as we arrived for our 11 night stay. After spending 4 nights in Palermo on our arrival into Sicily we drove down to Selinunte looking for a remote country villa with pool and set in a tranquil and scenic location and that's what we got.
The roads around the villa are predominantly single track with some sections riddled with 'craters'. We were met at the villa by the villa's manager,Aldo. He provided the essential map coordinates to get us to the villa. He gave us a warm welcome and provided key information regarding the use of the villa. He also provided an immediate response to a hot water issue that was resolved early morning the next working day. And let's not forget the two bottles of wine left by Select Sicily as a welcoming gift!
The villa itself was clean, tidy and comfortably furnished, the rooms had high ceilings and insect netting on all windows which allowed us to open the bedroom windows fully to cool the room at night and not have to use the aircon system. The villa has gated private parking, a patio with a fantastic view over vast olive groves and vineyards with an array of wild bird life providing daily aerial displays. The private pool located down some steps from the villa is surrounded by flowing shrubs and olive trees. It is checked and serviced most mornings. A great spot to sunbathe and take to the pool to cool down.
Once you get your bearings, local towns are only 15 to 30 minutes away for all of your shopping needs!
All in all, if you're looking for a quiet, peaceful and scenic location in Sicily with interesting sites to visit, this is it!

Un grazie particolare al Sig Morici che con grande signorilità ci ha accompagnato durante tutta la vacanza con una presenza discreta ma sempre efficiente e cordiale.
Un complimento ai padroni di casa per aver realizzato è mantenuto una bella casa in uno splendido contesto, che pur nella sua semplicità è decisamente di grande charme.

Just had a great week in Villa Aria. Large spacious villa with panoramic views. Select Sicily were very easy to communicate with and helped to make the booking process as stress free as possible. No problem giving a 5* recommendation!

Had a wonderful week at Selinunte Retreat.The villa and it’s garden were beautiful, very private and had everything we needed for a family holiday with 7 of us ( age 20-64) Select Sicily were professional and quick to respond to queries.

Wonderful villa that was even nicer than the photographs! Select Sicily provide an excellent service and are extremely responsive and helpful.

My family and I stayed at Casa Amelia this summer and could not recommend it highly enough. Stefano has such a beautiful place and was extremely helpful and welcoming. Even the pictures do not do it justice. Everything has been thought out to the very last detail. The location is incredible. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay, we would love to come back!

Agenzia affidabile e disponile in tutto e per tutto. Grande professionalità, competenza e riservatezza . Per quanto riguarda il soggiorno a villa Gea possiamo solo dire che è stato sorprendente! Sia dal punto di vista della struttura che dei confort . Dotata di un arredamento elegante perfetta in ogni minimo dettaglio. Completa di accessori che hanno reso questo soggiorno indimenticabile. Cinque stelle non bastano.

We stayed at Selinunte Retreat which was beautiful, spacious and relaxing with all the facilities you need for the whole family.
We were well looked after by the owner and agent. Aldo spent effort on our behalf to find a hotel for the day so we could relax in comfort for the day waiting for a late flight and arranged our transfer too.
Select Sicily have also been great with excellent and responsive communication

Villa Orizzonte, location stupenda immersa nella natura con una vista meravigliosa. Servizio eccellente grazie alla professionalità della Property Manager Ketty Rubera e del suo team.

Baia blu a Scopello era una casa spettacolare… è stata una fantastica esperienza, la casa era pulita e aveva una vista mozzafiato. È stato uno dei migliori soggiorni che abbiamo fatto, anche grazie alla vostra ospitalità. L’abitazione è vicina al mare e a pochi passi troverete delle calette spettacolari. In particolare volevo ringraziare il signor Aldo e la signora Maria Angela (key holder) per la loro premura nel farci vivere un soggiorno magnifico! Spero di ritornarci presto, grazie a tutti!

fantastica vacanza a villa Amelia a Portopalo di Menfi, struttura di classe, molto ben tenuta e rifinita, spazi ampi e confortevoli a pochi passi dalla spiaggia e da alcune calette poco frequentate, il proprietario sig. Stefano sempre gentile e disponibile

Caso Melograno is a great house, great views and very well set up for a family. The pool, eating areas and views are the highlights. It is near beaches but a car is essential for supermarkets which are c. 15 minutes away. Highly recommend. Agent Aldo and gardeners are all very helpful.

Casa Palmi: un esperienza fantastica !
Ci siamo affidati a Select Sicily per la programmazione delle nostre vacanze, alla ricerca di un sito esclusivo, diverso dal solito e che riuscisse a coniugare le esigenze del nucleo familiare. Che dire, abbiamo trovato un agenzia molto seria, attenta, meticolosa, precisina, organizzata. E questo vi fa un grande onore.
Casa Palmi è un luogo incantevole, una casa dotata di ogni confort, ben attrezzata, elegantemente arredata, curata in ogni minimo particolare, dall'esterno dove la bella piscina, il verde, le terrazze panoramiche e tante altre peculiarità la rendono unica, sino all'interno dove il design minimalista, la modulazione armoniosa degli interni e di ogni singolo componente d'arredo la rendono particolare e speciale. Un esperienza da rifare e da proporre.
Un grazie a Select Sicily per come ci ha tutelati e trattati, ed un grazie ai proprietari di casa Gaspare e Gabriella, due splendide ed amorevoli persone.

We had a great stay at the Villa and can highly recommend it for having a relaxed time with a stunning view from the pool and perfect privacy.
The villa is also greatly located to explore the South-Western part of Sicily like the Selinunte archeological park and the Menfi wine region.
The communication and check-in & check-out procedures were efficient and pleasant - got great recommendations for restairants and activities in the region! Thanks much for the great time we had!

This villa is situated in a beautiful valley with vineyards and olive trees.
It is airy and comfortable with multiple seating areas outside and a 5 star !!! fabulous pool.
The sunsets were magical, the property is gated and very secure.
We loved every minute here it was relaxing to say the least.
The pictures online are pretty but in person it is just beautiful, it is everything we imagined the Sicilian countryside to be and more.
The villa is situated near to many amenities' and we explored the north and south coastline ,there is so much to see.
Aldo the agent was very friendly and very helpful and accommodating.
I really recommend this place you will have a fantastic time here.

Casa molto bella e super confortevole.
La situazione ideale per chi cerca una location rilassante e in una posizione vicinissima ad alcune delle spiagge più belle del sud Sicila.

Beautiful apartment, perfect location, fabulously equipped kitchen, and great quality linens. You even get your own wine cellar and hot tub in the courtyard garden. Thanks to Lorenzo for meeting us early, saving us a parking space and for a wonderful welcome and tour of the apartment showing us where everything was and how it worked. Again another big thank you to Select Sicily for outstanding customer service throughout our stay.

We stayed at Selinunte Retreat which we enjoyed very much. So much of a holiday is spent outside that the beautiful gardens and lovely pool were loved by all of us. The bbq was used regularly during our week at the villa.
We had one or two problems but nothing that particularly affected our stay so these were passed on to the owner and SelectSicily at the end of our stay.

Being split between the main house and the annexe took a bit of getting used to as so often something we wanted was in the wrong kitchen. We ended up buying doubles of a few things but we thought neither kitchen worked perfectly. The annexe kitchen was used for group meals but the freezer is in the other kitchen.

SelectSicily were quick to respond to all my questions when we booking and before our arrival which was rather refreshing.

Our second visit to this villa which ticks every box for our family of 6 adults and two infants. The accommodation is comfortable and flexible. The position is private with beautiful views over the vineyards to the sea. You also have Le Foresteria ( as close as you can get to a Michelin starred restaurant but better as it’s so beautifully staffed ) at the other side of the road at the end of the drive and our favourite beach restaurant at Da Vittorio. Take up the 20% discount that Select Sicily have arranged to get your wine from Mandrarossa which is not only stunning quality but very reasonably priced without the discount.
The shopping arrangement is very useful and highly recommended. The house keeper Rosa Maria is a delight and the gardener/refuse remover Gaspare is a lovely man and very helpful.
The personable staff at Select Sicily make the whole experience fantastic.
I think we will be looking to return in 2024
