Worst review in my 30 years of writing
I've been writing articles for 30 years and novels for 10. In that experience, I've worked with many reviewers. I'm not a rookie who can't take suggestions on cutting parts I like. I seek that out, but the review from Self Publishing Review seemed to look for every possible little mistake and emphasize it--sometimes with sarcasm. Even though I paid $2,000 for their review, I stopped applying changes after about 20 pages of my 120,000 manuscript. I highly advise that writers stay away from Self Publishing Review and consider other services, like Reedsy, Writers Digest, or Critique Circle.
