Best Ophthalmologists in north Mississippi!
This is an OPHTHALMOLOGY clinic with an attached EYE SURGERY center (Specialty Surgery & Laser Center, or SSLC). They treat eye diseases like macular degeneration, glaucoma, ptosis, dermatochalasis, and cataracts. They also do botox injections.
What I like about this place is the PEOPLE! They are awesome. The doctors actually care about you and how your eyes are doing. They are very smart; ethical. And they are great eye surgeons, too. You won't find better eye care.
The staff have been amazing as well. I'm greeted with a smile (Kay and Lisa!) When I check out, Crissy and Claressa are always polite and make sure I have a pair of sunglasses before I go out to my car. The technicians (led by Katie) get me checked in and run the special tests I need. They are so kind! And when you need surgery, Jennifer does a great job of getting that sorted out.
They also have an optical shop and Tammy or Carly are the sweetest opticians, always wanting to make sure I have what I want and never pushing add-ons or making me feel pressured. I like that! And their prices are very competitive. I was surprised.
Dr. Darwin Wooten, MD, Dr. John Shipp, MD, and Dr. Bernard Shipp, MD are three of the four eye surgeons in northern Mississippi/southern Tennessee and they all work here. They have been so helpful to me and my family. If you need eye care or eye surgery, this is the place to go.
