This company is as fraudulent as I have ever encountered. I cancelled after 4 days due to the fact they misled the actual amount back in Oct. 2023. I received an email confirming it was cancelled. This company is such a scam… for hardworking people who tried it for a few days.. yes a few days only and then for got to cancel by 1 day yes 1 day and still charged. What is funny a company uses analytics to track how much you use the app, so it was easy to see that it was never used after day3 or 4… but charged to resubscribe months later… talked to customer service.. no help.. that is how you treat the public with rising cost…. This is a scam company! They were not entitled to take money for a free trial and I changed my account number and they still are managing to charge my account! I has been a nightmare letting everyone know my changed account and still it didn’t stop them.
Crooked and unethical and need to be under investigation
I cancelled my account before the trial period ended and they still processed a $79.20 charge thru my paypal account.
Tricked into signing up for £1 and ended up paying £80 even though I had a full year of subscription
I was reluctant to signup but I did it for £1 and managed to cancel my subscription through the app. At the end of the trial period, simple offered me another couple of months for another £1 and as cancelling was an easy process, I accepted. Little did I know that even though I had another year of free app they charged me as if I had finished my initial trial and not had the extra year. I then reached out and they said to simply cancel the subscription, which I did but the refund never made its way back to me. I'm still trying to get it back!!!
Rubbish customer care
I sent this company two emails asking to end my subscription before the trial period ended as I had to reduce my hours at work and can’t afford the subscription. They did not reply to either emails and have taken the subscription anyway. DON’T sign up for this app.

They should go out of business and be held liable for all the additional charges made. They make it so difficult to cancel so as to collect at least one $79 charge at the end of your one-week trial. If you don't fight them effectively, they will charge you that every quarter. They are piggy-backing on another app with a similar name that has really good reviews. DO NOT ACCEPT A FREE TRIAL FROM THIS COMPANY!
DO NOT SIGN UP! Impossible to Cancel and You Will Be Charged
i signed up for the £1 trial but then decided I wanted to cancel before it renewed. I tried to cancel though the app but my premium membership was not showing and it wouldn't restore. I contacted Customer Service explaining the situation and they replied to me within 24 hours confirming that my trial subscription had been cancelled and I would not be charged. I have this in writing from their customer service.
Then when the end date for the trial came around I was automatically charged on my credit card for the the full membership amount. I have attempted to get in contact with them twice already requesting a cancellation of the subscription and a full refund of the membership and they are completely ignoring me. I can't see the premium subscription on my account so I can't cancel it myself, which they know. I have had no option but to contact my credit card company to ensure that the issue is resolved and I don't get charged again. I have also reported them to trading standards for their diabolical and fraudulent practices.
Overall I’ve been happy using the app
Overall I’ve been happy using the app, if for nothing else, as a food and water journal. The only thing I don’t love is some of the reading material they send me right after I eat. I don’t have kids at home, it’s just me. My foods are a little redundant to avoid wasting food items. It’s not likely I’ll try new recipes every week, Simple will just needed to get over my choices. While I do understand the reason for these messages, I wish a user could provide some insight on lifestyle so maybe Simple could cut down on the redundancy of these messages.

They trick you to sign up for a wekk for 1 dollar and then you are stuck. A few days after they have drawn 90 dollars from your account and they will not answer your e mails. I had to call the bank and change my card and close the old one since they will keep charging you.
Still being charged after canceled subscription
Went through correct process to cancel subscriptions… thought all was fine until after my subscription ended they again took $51.99 out of my account…. In my settings it says subscription canceled after 3 months was up (31st of March) payment was taken out 2nd of April. So dodgy. DONT USE THIS COMPANY

STOP and THINK. I have examined the app and the service. The info-mercial is compelling but there is nothing really magic here. Eat less and exercise more. During "induction" there is a "questionnaire", that when completed fills you with hope - which is all they are selling. If only you buy their program, you'll lose weight. Truth is, weight loss is work. If you are a fan for entering your every morsel of your life into your phone, this STILL isn't worth it! Buy a gym membership. They offer you a "trial period" then jump the gun to charge you a hefty full price. Then the fight is on to get a refund if you cancel. I'm working with Pay Pal and hoping for the best. I too wish I had read the reviews before trying the app. It took literally weeks for me to receive a response once I contacted them. I was charged twice and received no free trial. They tried to tell me one of the charges was for a PDF workbook which I never received. I felt like it was a huge hassle and I just wasn't being heard. The app isn't that great; don't bother, there are much better apps.
False advertising and wonky app is worse than free apps.
App is not as user friendly as stated. Charged me 48 dollars for the workbook which is not at all customized as stated. Thought I was signing up for a year. 92 dollars for three months? Noooo?

Wish I would have read more reviews on Simple. I signed up for the 7 day free trial. Was charged for subscription.The very next day I contacted them to cancel. Very quick response to cancel, but have tried contacting 3 times to get my refund. They are not so quick at responding now! Don’t do it!!!!!

I'm giving a 1 star review not because of the product itself, but because their online sign up process routinely charges for a full year subscription when the buyer only wanted a 7 day trial. A scan of the other Trustpilot reviews for Simple shows this to be the case. I can't be certain if this is Simple's intention or if some poor Simple person responsible for their website maintenance failed to notice all of these 1 star reviews and failed to fix this awful mistake.
I really wanted to use the trial. I used Noom in 2019 and it worked so well I lost 35 pounds in a little less than 3 months. But over the last 3 or 4 months I added back 13, so I responded to Simple's email and took their quiz. The email didn't appear to be a scam, and the nature of the content of the quiz reminded me of my positive experience with Noom. So I agreed to the 7 day trial for $9.73. But then, the phone alert that my card was charged for that amount, was followed immediately by an alert that it was charged again for $59.40. I'm inclined to believe someone at Simple simply screwed up, because the iPhone App Store rates the app highly. I can't imagine that rating if customers signing up on the app experienced the same problems as we online customers. It's beyond me why Simple would continue to let their quiz bilk their online customers.
