Like to support local business when I can so went to these guys to replace an iPhone battery. Not a good outcome.

Was fitted promptly but I hadn't realised that they use non-apple batteries. Also didn't realise that would mean the battery health functionality on the phone would be disabled and a 'flag' would show permanently on the phone, warning about non-standard parts.

I could have lived with that but the new battery then started to fail e.g. losing 50% of charge in 5 minutes, continuing to lose charge even when plugged in etc. I contacted simplyfixit about it, to be told batteries only come with three months warranty (it was about 4 months old by then).

I emailed them to explain the situation and how unhappy I was. They didn't reply. I've since traded that phone in and upgraded to a newer one.

Moral of the story is if you have an apple product, you're probably better sticking with apple expertise for any repairs. That's what I did before and that's what I'll be going back to.

Excellent repair (ipad 6th generation) new screen. I sent it via special delivery and got it back 4 / 5 days after in really good packaging. The pad looks like new and is working fine and it didn't cost the earth. Alround I'm very pleased

They were efficient - ready sooner than they had said - and the price fixed so I knew where I was.

I had terrific experience with the shop in the past, but over the last two years, I found the service very poor: "Buy a New One" is the regular answer.
I had issue of a CD getting stuck in my DVD/CD drive, and could't eject as not recognise by laptop anymore. The person there said couldn't be fixed and a proper repair would cost more than a new one. The device was in perfect condition, and suggest to try to plug to another computer and he refused. He then simply said "I don't care".
I then went back home, as asked a neighbour to plug my CD/DVD drive. On that computer I simply selected the icon DVD as press button eject, and the CD came out! Problem sorted, and my IT skills are VERY poor.
Competence is not about suggesting to buy a new device when facing a small technical issue. Solving a problem is the skill required for such a shop.
Time to send back employee to a proper training and testing their enthusiasm of helping people. So far, my experience is that they can not fix anymore.

No hassle efficient repair of my old iPhone SE. Screen and battery replacement carried out and returned phone in excellent condition. I would definitely use again in future.

Sent my iPhone in for diagnosis knowing it had some sort of battery fault(but was still a functioning phone). Told me that to repair the battery I would have to give them £300 as it needed a housing also; I declined as that's more than the value of the phone itself. He told me that he had to take the battery out to send it back to me, however, he did not mention that it would break other components of my phone. So now I have spent £20 to have my phone battery taken and the power button broken which now makes my phone useless. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CUSTOM UNLESS YOU LIKE WASTING YOUR MONEY!!!

Would definitely recommend repaired and returned my iPhone4s and photies and data in 1week is an old phone but I didn’t want to lose the photies

SimplyFixit did a major repair on my computer last year, rescuing all my data from a failing hard drive and transferring it to a new, much better drive. They repaired a faulty hinge, fitted a new battery, and it has been better than new ever since. All for a very reasonable price, much less than the cost of a new computer.

This time, the keyboard developed a fault. SimplyFixit was able to order the replacement part and let me keep using the computer until it arrived, then fitting it while I waited, so I was never without the use of it. Again at a very reasonable cost (about half what Dell charged for a similar repair on it some years ago).

Highly recommended.
