Extremely disappointing and stressful experience with this tempo traveller booking for our Delhi – Dharamshala – Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Chamba – Amritsar trip. What was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation turned into continuous harassment for extra money.
From the 3rd day onwards, the driver started demanding additional charges for sightseeing. However, no such condition was clearly mentioned in the terms and conditions shared by the company at the time of booking. The package itself was planned around approximately 1600 km (around 200 km per day), so naturally we trusted the company and did not keep checking the odometer reading every time during sightseeing or stops.
The biggest shock came on the 7th day when the driver suddenly claimed that we had travelled an extra 350–400 km for sightseeing and demanded huge additional payment. This was completely unbelievable because one destination, Chamba, which was originally included in the itinerary shared by the company, was not even covered during the trip. As per our own Google Maps calculation, the total additional distance was hardly around 40 to 50 km.
We even shared screenshots and route details of all the places visited during the journey, but the company refused to consider any proof and kept insisting on charging more than 300 km extra. Their behaviour clearly showed lack of transparency and unfair billing practices.
The worst part happened on the last day while returning to Delhi. We received repeated calls from some third-party operator, not even from the actual company management, pressuring us to pay the extra charges immediately. When we denied because the charges were unfair and never properly disclosed, the driver suddenly stopped the tempo traveller in the middle of the road for almost 1.5 hours. We were stranded, stressed, and worried because we had a train to catch in the afternoon.
After speaking with the company, they directly said that the vehicle would not move unless we paid the extra amount. Since we had no option and were literally stuck on the roadside with luggage and family members, we were forced to pay the demanded amount just to continue the journey and reach Delhi on time.
This was not customer service — it felt like mental harassment and pressure tactics. Extremely unprofessional company, poor coordination, hidden charges, and zero transparency. Instead of enjoying our vacation, we spent the trip arguing over unexpected payments and dealing with unnecessary stress.
Would strongly advise others to avoid booking with this company unless every single kilometer and sightseeing condition is clearly written and confirmed in advance. Very bad experience and completely ruined the enjoyment of our trip.

I booked a 26-seater traveller from 23rd May to 25th May for a family picnic in Konkan, from Badlapur to Dapoli. The journey start time was scheduled for 1:00 AM.

I received the vehicle and driver details only 8 hours before the journey. Since I was concerned about whether the vehicle would arrive on time, I tried calling the driver multiple times for confirmation. However, he did not answer my calls until around 8:00 PM.

I then contacted customer care, and the executive told me not to worry and said the driver might be taking rest and would reach on time. They advised me to try calling again if needed.

When I finally connected with the driver, he informed me that he was still around 20 km away from Chiplun and would reach only by 3:00 AM. I explained that our journey start time was 1:00 AM. Also, if the driver was already near Chiplun, it still did not seem possible for him to reach our pickup location by 3:00 AM, which created further confusion and concern.

Even then, my biggest concern was passenger safety. If the driver reached at 3:00 AM and immediately started driving again without proper rest, it would create a serious safety risk for all passengers.

I again contacted customer care regarding this issue, but the executive simply blamed traffic congestion for the delay. The company did not provide any alternate vehicle arrangement or proper solution. It was very disappointing to see that passenger safety was not taken seriously.

Overall, this was a very careless and unprofessional experience from Simply Trip. Due to this situation and safety concerns, I finally had to cancel the booking from my side.

WARNING: Think twice before booking with Simply Trip

I’m writing this review as a warning for anyone considering booking a traveller service through Simply Trip. My experience was extremely disappointing and ended up ruining an important family vacation and my son’s 1st birthday celebration.

Major issues faced during the trip:

1. Extremely poor vehicle condition
The vehicle provided was not at all up to standard. It was dirty and poorly maintained:

* Torn seats
* Broken AC vents
* Pan masala stain marks
* No floor mats
* Large number of mosquitoes inside the vehicle

This is not the kind of vehicle anyone expects after paying for a family trip.

2. Wrong route taken intentionally leading to unnecessary delays and extra KM billing
During both the Pune–Goa and Goa–Pune journeys, the driver took incorrect routes despite our repeated requests to follow the proper route. It felt like this was done to increase total kilometers and charge extra.

As a result:

* Pune to Goa took almost 15 hours despite no major traffic
* Our entire resort booking day was wasted
* During return, we left Goa at 11:30 AM and reached Pune only at 1:30 AM

This was exhausting, especially while traveling with a 1-year-old child and elderly parents.

3. Additional money demands
The vehicle owner repeatedly demanded extra money for:

* Toll charges (even though toll charges were already included in my payment)
* Night charges (which were supposed to apply only after 2:00 AM)

Had the driver followed the correct route, we would likely have reached before 10 PM.

4. Zero support from Simply Trip
Throughout the trip I repeatedly called Simply Trip asking for assistance, but received virtually no support. Once payment is done, do not rely on them for customer assistance.

5. Suspicious and unnecessary charges
Additional charges kept appearing during the journey such as:

* Goa entry fees
* Police checking charges
* Other unexplained expenses

If a vehicle has missing paperwork or unauthorized modifications, why should customers be expected to pay for those issues?

Overall, the entire experience felt unprofessional and unethical. What was supposed to be a happy family vacation and my son’s first birthday celebration turned into a stressful experience.

My biggest mistake was trusting the sales executive’s words instead of paying attention to Google reviews.

I am attaching supporting evidence so others can make an informed decision.

Please read reviews carefully before booking with companies like this and avoid making the same mistake I did.

Avoid this company! They're cheaters with false promises. Our group of 22 people had a terrible experience traveling from Pune to Mahabaleshwar. They demanded 100% advance and provided a poor quality vehicle. We were overcharged and threatened to be dropped in the middle of the forest. No regret from the company after ruining our trip 😒

Booked a Tempo Traveler. Navi Mumbai to Nanded. Trip Date: 14 Apr 2026.
A smooth-talking salesman will promise you the moon. To protect his future, won’t name him. He will provide “vehicle that is top notch – flagship model”. He wants an advance. Paid INR 10,500. Reporting Time: 06:45 h. When you wake up in the morning – nightmare starts. No vehicle at 06:45 h. No vehicle even at 07:00 h. Flurry of calls. Customer Support says “will update you”. Tried calling the salesman who took the advance. No luck. Bro vanished like he never existed.
Driver arrives at 07:49 h. Over 1 h late. We are already late by 1 h over a journey of 10 h. The “flagship model” vehicle is a yellow Tempo. Unprofessional driver. Demands the balance of the $$$ right away. Customer support calls. They too want the balance of the $$$ right away. No remedy or compensation for the late arrival. I suggested a solution. They reject it. Also, the vehicle doesn’t belong to Simplytrip. They just take it from the market.
I finally cancel the trip at 08:32 h. Would rather lose INR 10,500 than 40,000. By arriving late the company has already broken the contract and trust. Travelling with family on a trip organized by Simplytrip – the risk is too extreme
Meanwhile Simplytrip, a small company, is still trying to explore “all possible options for a refund” – even after a week.
My advice to the Foreigners / NRIs / Tourists who value professionalism / quality service and punctuality – Simply avoid Simplytrip. Don’t even touch it with a barge pole.

Our trip to Amritsar was really great and also the driver understood our religious sentiments and was really petient

My experience with simplytrip was really good they were super friendly and also the bus quality was really good

My family was really happy with the service. I booked a 35 seater bus for my family which were visiting from village and the comfort of the buses were really good.

SimplyTrip staff was not only friendly but also they were really professional their customer support really helped me whenever I was in a jam.

Their service was exceptional and we were happy with then service they keep their words and are very punctual.
