Our Background
We run a sizable SLS park with over ten industrial-scale 3D printers from well-known additive manufacturing manufacturers. Seeking a more flexible solution for smaller-scale or specialized projects, we decided to add two LISA X printers from Sinterit. Given our extensive experience, we were curious to see how these compact units would complement our existing high-capacity machines.

Setup and Integration
Each LISA X was operational within a day—no additional service technicians required. Thanks to its compact form and integrated blasting/finishing cabin, the LISA X fit seamlessly into our established workflow, needing only minimal adjustments to accommodate its footprint.

Operation and Reliability
We’ve encountered very few job interruptions, and the reproducibility has consistently met our standards. While the LISA X isn’t built for the same high-volume output as our larger industrial systems, it excels at producing smaller runs and specialized components.

Material Flexibility
Changing materials is straightforward, allowing us to test expensive or experimental powders in small batches—an essential advantage for our R&D efforts. Sinterit’s comprehensive material portfolio and supportive team have been particularly helpful for dialing in parameters when working with new formulations.

Print Quality
Part quality occasionally surpasses the data sheet expectations, and while it may simply meet them in other cases, the output is reliably within acceptable specs for our needs. From an industrial standpoint, this consistency is valuable for both prototypes and end-use parts.

Customer Support
Sinterit typically responds within a day, and their assistance has been indispensable during our material trials. We’ve also found that spare parts are readily available, minimizing any potential downtime.

Overall Assessment and Personal Note
We’re genuinely satisfied with our two LISA X units. They don’t replace our larger systems for massive production runs, but they’re an excellent supplement for short runs, specialized materials, and rapid prototyping. The combination of reliability, ease of use, and practical features makes them a strong addition to our production environment. In fact, we’re already considering acquiring more LISA X machines to handle specialized series or new material developments, freeing up our bigger printers for large-scale jobs.

Sinterit has great machines and is no doubt the pinnacle of Desktop SLS 3D printing at the moment. Easy to use and affordable yet has alot of options.

Software control is a breeze too. There no other SLS system that matches the RnD put into Lisa machines,

We operate LISA X and the accessories like PHS/Sandblaster. Experience very fast delivery and easy set up and configuration of the printer. Even after hundreds of hours of operating the machine, the results are perfect, the support is very quick and the complete offering of materials, accessories and manuals for maintenance is impeccable. We can only recommend Sinterit!

Bonjour j'ai passé une commande d'une installation complète LISA X plus Système poste traitement fin juillet 2022.
La communication avec SINTERIT via la société ERM a été très compliquée et la machine pour une livraison prévue novembre 2022 n'a eu lieu qu'en janvier 2023.
Après 1 an et seulement 1000H d'utilisation la sonde pyrométrique est défectueuse. Il semble que ce soit un point faible de ces machines.
Quoiqu'il en soit impossible d'être dépanné rapidement. Aucune réponse de leur part sans effectuer 2 à trois relances. Aujourd'hui il me demande de renvoyer la machine en Pologne.
La machine étant verrouillée et pleine de poudre, je demande comment faire pour un nettoyage avant expédition afin d'éviter toutes détériorations supplémentaires. Ils sont incapables de me répondre.
Je demande aussi qui prend en charge l'intervention sans réponse d'aucune part.
Cela m'agace d'où cet avis négatif pour faire évoluer cette situation qui ne me semble pas très professionnelle.

We have bought 2 SLS sintering machines (LISA X).
So far, after more than 1 year, only one machine has been delivered. Unfortunately very annoying, because the company Sinter it, apparently has massive technical problems with their machines. However, the customer should not be aware of this.
The first machine was already defective after about 3 months and had to be sent in. 4 weeks later, because of a broken toothed belt, the machine came back.
The support also leaves a lot to be desired, as you are really left in the lurch and are not compensated for it in terms of time and costs.
In this price category, the LISA X machine delivers good results but to a limited extent.
I would not buy the machine again.
According to the reviewer before me, I'm not that wrong.

Bought a Sinterit Lisa X performance set
First machine supplied - broken
Failed to print properly at all.

Second machine experienced almost one fault (requiring support assistance and outsourcing my print work) per every other print.
These included:
Print area overheating which the company refused to acknowledge and was only resolved by multiple customers forcing the issue.
Recoater cord failure after approx 50 hours service (not good for a component rated at 100 hours)
This component has also also now been downrated to 80 hours print time meaning that for large volume prints you will be replacing this part every one or two prints.
I was informed that the failure of this component was driven by the fact that the cord was too short (poor process control on a critical characteristic)
Due to a lack of built in safety features when the above failure happened the feed and print beds continued to operate along with the laser itself for the print cycle leading to powder contamination in the power supply area and main circuit board.
Linear bearing out of tolerance leading to far more force required to shift the recoater head than should be required.
Critical heater error
This was a sort of non failure that would not let the machine print but was apparently a software issue.
Pyrometer read error
Again the machine failed to print and again I had to resort to getting my parts printed by a bureau with all the cost and hassle that involves.
The error did seem to be partly caused by the failed recoater.
On paper they make very capable machines, in practise the immediate support is lacking here in the UK.
There are also variances in build quality that worry me, for such an expensive bit of kit you do not expect it to be:
Adorned with odd bits of aluminium tape
Daubed with sealant
Or as I discovered today, missing fasteners.

On a positive side, when it actually is working the machine produces good quality prints at a reasonable speed.
I think it would be fair to say that better support for their regional resellers is a must along with a greatly improved print cover operation so that should a customers printer go down they will not be wanting for printed parts or having to pay over the odds to get them.

In time this company and the Lisa X machine will get to the standard required to match their competition but its not been a great start.
