The chalet was good and our stay was made excellent by our hosts.

Great chalet filled with lovely guests and 2 amazing hosts. Great location in Peisey-Vallandry. Beds could be bigger and the chalet could definitely do with better lighting outside but recommend Tetras-Lyre.

Exceptional Chalet and Ski Holiday - thank you.

One of the best reasonably priced ski chalet companies around.

Super disappointed that Dionne at Ski Beat promised to hold our booking until 5 pm, but passed it on earlier in the day with a notification by email alone, which I didn't pick up because I was working.
The chalets look lovely, but I think this company is commercial and wants 'bums on seats', rather than caring about customer service.
Annoyingly they won't care about a poor review, as there are so many of us vying for limited places during school holidays so it's a seller's market! I would strongly encourage them to honour verbal agreements going forward: after all, if we'd decided against this option they would have sold the holiday in the blink of an eye.

Had to phone to book as our party fly from Gatwick and Manchester and this wasn’t possible online. Was dealt with easily and quickly on phone and all booked in no time.
The team at Ski Beat are very helpful. I have booked our ski group with them for several years now. Having been on holiday with them in January this year normally we would have booked by now for next season. I had forgotten with too many other things happening. Fortunately one of their team in Brighton emailed me to act as a reminder. They are all incredibly helpful. A few telephone conversations and our group is again booked for what we know is a great ski holiday location. Many thanks Ski Beat

This is the response I got from my complaint.
Thank you for your email and the time you have taken to set out your feedback on your recent holiday in La Rosière. We are very sorry that you had cause to complain and thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. Your comments are constructive and we do genuinely appreciate all guest feedback as it gives us an opportunity to assess what we do and make relevant changes.
We apologise for the crack in the bedroom window. This was already being dealt with but we are sorry this was not brought to your attention from the start. The damage was done in January and measurements were taken and submitted and the quote signed off last month. Unfortunately, due to long lead-in times, the glass was not available until after your stay and the final repair was only able to be done at the start of this week. We apologise for the impact on your group's enjoyment of the chalet.
We are very sorry to hear about the failures in housekeeping you reported and very much regret that you took action yourself to address some of the cleaning issues found. We are sorry that some rubbish in the bedrooms had been missed and the team know they must be more vigilant. The hosts do work hard as a team to maintain standards however we acknowledge that it is a large area for them to cover. We have taken time to check the cleaning rota and protocols and changes will be made as necessary.
Unfortunately the digital lock to the main door of the chalet is not ideal, although fairly common in design. It is not self-locking as you know and so, despite advice in the welcome speech and guest reminders, the door does get left unlocked on occasion. We are looking at changing this as the security of our guests is a priority. Installing a locking system that does not require manual intervention would of course be a much more favourable solution and this is being addressed with the property owner. In the meantime, we have already fitted key boxes for the 3 apartments. New signs have also been put up to reiterate the message that the doors are not self-locking which we hope will improve the situation.
Regarding the fire door to the kitchen that did not close correctly, although the owner had made adjustments to other doors last month, our Properties Manager was not made aware of this particular door until the Wednesday of your stay and so this was attended to as soon as possible that week.
We do accept that the wifi in the building is poor. We have 4G internet boxes in each of the chalets to supplement the weak signal. Also the owner is in the process of installing a fibre connection to address the problem. Unfortunately on the two occasions to date that the telecoms company visited, they have not been able to successfully connect the building and so this remains an urgent work-in-progress. We do advise guests on arrival that the wifi connection can be poor and provide details of the connection options but we are aware of the frustration caused and the impact on your holiday.
We do accept that there were some clear areas of dissatisfaction with your holiday and we very much regret this. As loyal customers we do hope to be able to welcome you back in the future so that we may provide the level of service you are used to and that we work hard to deliver.
Thank you again for your email.
Kind regards,
Vicky

I love chalet holidays and have been with SkiBeat several times. They do not disappoint. This year, Fiona created a very homely atmosphere with 3 separate groups brought together as one family for a wonderful holiday experience. Great knowledge about the resort, good food and the afternoon cakes were delightful.
Already thinking about next year's holiday with SkiBeat.

Could not really fault anything - Sally was great - food amazing. Sadly snow was not very good and then the massive storm and resort closed for one day. The fact that we found out that we could pay to leave our ski gear at La Plagne Centre for 15 euros each for the week was a bonus. Will definitely book again but not in April and not La Plagne. Felt this was not a good place for beginners, very few green runs.

Just book it! We have just returned from a near faultless holiday at Chalet Jonquille in La Tania. Our Chalet Host, Becs, was a complete star and the perfect ambassador for the company. Food was great and the chalet in a great location. A really great value ski holiday in the 3 Valleys!

I've used Ski Beat three times now and wouldn't hesitate to book with them again. Everything is very well organised, the chalets are in excellent locations and the holidays are good value for what's included. If you're looking for a no-stress chalet holiday, Ski Beat are a no-brainer.

A detailed mainly positive review...
I travelled solo and liked the fact that I could organise my own flights from Heathrow and local transfers. By arriving one day early in Lyon and returning to Lyon one day early I had a very good nights sleep at the Moxy at Lyon airport. Thus I didn't need to emerge from my bed in the middle of the night for a Ski beat organised flight from a less handy airport (return trip leaves Val Thorens at 04.30!) Worth everyone of the extra ££££'s I spent!
I booked a stay for two weeks and Sarah the chalet Ibex hostess was first class and consistently went 'above and beyond' The booking phone process via Brighton was easy and both staff members were most helpful.
As I arrived under my own steam (much earlier than the Ski Beat bus) Sarah who had contacted me via WhatsApp before I left home, then told me which free bus to get in the resort, in which direction, which stop to get off at and even helped me carry all my clobber up the hill. VERY IMPRESSED FROM THE GETGO!
The 'chalet' Ibex is in an apartment and is 'tired'. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, shower doors hanging off, tatty stair carpets etc. That said Sarah was open and honest about trying to get the management of the complex (not Ski Beat who rent them) to rectify things but seemed to have got nowhere. During my two week stay a member of the chalet staff was 'relieved' of her seasons duties late in the afternoon, and Sarah sprang into action on her day off, as the member removed was cooking our supper that night. Myself and the other clients really appreciated her effort to dash from a bar into the the chalet. However we reassured her that we could cope with organising supper ( I am a retired hospitality professional) cleaning up etc, and we also had some help from her chum Dayle who runs the chalet below. However I feel dealing with this issue could have been handled better and thus impacted clients and her fellow staff less. Ski Beat did take ownership of the issue and advised all clients on the evening, but I cannot believe in over 30 years of operating their business that this problem has not occurred before?
There is no resort based manager in Val Thorens and this puts the chalet girls in difficult positions at times. Another client in a Ski Beat chalet below us, who was plainly 'entitled' with his expectations, caused a degree of annoyance with all the clients in all three apartments Ski Beat run in the complex. That really takes some doing!!! A manager would I feel have brought his attitude to a resolution sooner. Some folks are arses and need to be kicked....nicely, a fact I learned in 15 years of dealing with the travelling public!
Sarah's baking skills are fantastic and more than enough food was offered for tea and supper. I remain concerned by the amount of food waste I observed and estimate that several thousand euros could be saved in a season with the provision of bigger fridges; a helpful suggestion I hope.
The complimentary vino was good with the exception of the white wine which was most disappointing and after a taster glass, no one drank it in the two weeks I stayed. The breakfast service is disappointing as all food was cooked for 08.00 including fried eggs. In theory breakfast is between 08.00 - 09.00. I'm not an early riser and Sarah offered to leave me some cooked items that I could reheat and eat at my usual time of 10.30 which worked well for me. However I am aware that some few clients didn't want to decide the night before what they were going to want the next morning. Hence more food went into the bin.....but by the end of the week Sarah had mastered cooked to order poached eggs, which I understand my fellow guests really rated.
Personally I feel breakfast should be cooked fresh to order; I offered this for 15 years when I was running a small inn.
The beds are simple singles, but long enough (I'm six foot four) and the pillows and duvets were comfortable. The upstairs bedrooms (I moved during my stay) had a draft problem when a storm blew through, poor roof insulation which again the property managers had made a half arsed attempt to rectify with expanding foam (looked very unprofessional against the pine boards!)
In conclusion I enjoyed my stay, felt very much at home and had a lovely bunch of fellow clients. Had one had a family with kids and the 'entitled' chap below then it would make a for a very different stay.....
Will I book again....yes.
I must also mention Bens Bus for self organised transfers, who are efficient. Hero transfers took me back to Lyon as week day buses are not common. If you want a personal driver it was very efficient. Pricey but worth every euro simply for the conversation with Toby the car owner and driver, a delightful and knowledgeable British implant.....

The chalet hosts were incredible. Nothing was too much for them. The food was divine, the attention to detail and the general happiness in the air was brilliant and beyond measure.

Stayed in the Chalet Crystal 5 in La Daille, Val D’Isere at Easter. Had a fabulous week. The Chalet is fantastically well located for a family ski holiday with everything we needed right on the doorstep (including La Rosee Blanche apres ski bar for late afternoon sundowners and live music). The flight options out and back are quite early - so steel yourself! But once there the staff were great and food lovely - served to us family-style which we liked so we could pick and choose our own portions sizes without being too overwhelmed! All in all a great family ski destination.

Stayed in Beriozka, Amy was our host who was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly and an excellent cook, always plenty of food and done an amazing job catering for my daughter’s dairy allergy.
Chalet was comfortable and was in a good position for the slopes, would definitely stay again.

Great holiday.
Lovely chalet - chosen for ease of skiing to and from - and super host. Lovely food too.
We were a couple and knew none of the 9 other guests but were with a lovely bunch of people (that bit is luck!)
Ski beat staff at airport on arrival and departure were also helpful and good.

Everything was perfect apart from the stemless wine glasses. I do not enjoy drinking wine out of a glass tumbler.
