We purchased two sets of Contour mirrored sliding wardrobe doors with cashmere panels. They look fantastic and are very well-made. My husband and I fitted them in a day, replacing tired old doors. Customer support was extremely helpful and the ordering process very straightforward. They were delivered in about 2 weeks, and I was given a 1-hour time slot in the early evening. We are now looking to replace other wardrobe doors in our home, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them highly.

I recently bought wardrobes from Slide Wardrobes Direct and found the overall experience to be quite balanced. The wardrobes were easy to install with the provided instructions, and they look pretty good once set up. However, I did face some challenges with alignment on uneven floors, and the fitting instructions could be improved by providing tips for such issues. The doors, especially the red ones with mirrors, are visually appealing, though they could use sturdier fittings for a more secure feeling. Customer service was responsive and helpful throughout the process, which I appreciated. Though the product quality is commendable, particularly for the price, a few improvements could make it even better. I'd rate my experience a solid three stars.

Easy instillation for a competent diyer

Very very pleased with my wardrobes. I got them for a great price and they look absolutely lovely. They were easy to install by just following the instructions but I also received great customer service with all of my questions answered to make the whole process so much easier. Couldn’t be happier would definitely recommend!

I do not normally write reviews unless there are genuine and exceptional circumstances for doing so.

I found this company refreshingly unusal. Embracing the electronic world with their exceptionally clear and practical website that enables you to mix and match various designs until you find exactly what you like. You can then input your exact dimentions without any pre-set sizes. What is so unusual is that they have retained many of the old fashioned values that so many companies seem to think that are no longer important. If you have anything that you are not sure of a simple telephone call, answered in a few rings by a real person. In my case, the same person was able to answer my queries instantly. No recorded messages, preesing this and that or waiting hours for a call back, that may or may not happen.

Once the order was placed I was informed of the delivery date a few days later. On the delivery day I recieved a call from the driver an hour before his arrival. The delivery was made by their own van, the driver was helpful and polite, the order was complete and undamaged. The door sizes were exactly as ordered and fitted perfectly. The packaging was minimal but sturdy and protective with little or no possisbility of unseen damage. The instructions were comprehnsive and easy to follow (not too sure how one or two reviews say otherwise) The end result was a perfect fit of good quality doors and a very happy customer.

I followed their measuring instructions, ordered the doors, fitted them according to their instructions, and achieved a perfect result. The doors were delivered, well packed, by their own driver who was on time and pleasant. All good.

The service I received from first contact to delivery was excellent, nothing was too much trouble.

The measuring and installation guides are really helpful and easy to read. Installation was relatively easy as per plan and absolutely love the finished result which is probably even better than expected.
Delivery was also spot on and telephone queries answered promptly and efficiently. Can't fault it - and now hope they stand the test of time!

Really great product ( we ordered the Metro range), delivery was speedy and the guys waited for us to check the doors before they left. Installation was pretty simple - it needs two people - and advice was on hand at their office to help us with a couple of technical queries. Would definitely use them again.

Made to measure doors of excellent quality. So easy to order on the website. Even the delivery service was excellent. We had the doors a couple of weeks later, and the gentleman delivering the doors gave us accurate delivery times and was super helpful. I would certainly recommend and use again

Our doors are lovely and the driver was so lovely. We were advised when would be delivered and the driver waited for ny husband to check.

It is rediculous to suggest that I return the doors. The cost to do do would outweigh any benefit and add considerably to replacing the doors and tracks.

You will have deliveries to make in the Surrey area at some stage so you could collect them but then being helpful is not in your nature.

I sent this email and photographs to slidewardrobesdirect:

Dear Ms. Sanchez

I know you don’t like to consider the possibility that you are in the wrong but the evidence does not support your defence.

The opening is 2416mm. That I made a mistake is not in dispute.

Doors were, according to you, manufactured for an opening measuring 2423mm so the measurement error is +7mm.

A reduced height bottom liner was supplied as a solution, reducing the bottom liner from 18mm to 12mm.

Effectively this meant that the opening height was reduced by 6mm so the opening height is +1mm.

This is well within a tolerance you build into the manufacturing process that was explained to me during our email exchanges.

You can see from the photos that 2 of the doors are 20mm inside the pelmet.

I thought I could live with it but the doors do not run freely and it has got worse and now they will only close if you ‘help them along’ and the pine effect coating on the door frame is damaged.

If the doors are meant to be that high into the pelmet then surely the pelmet needs to be wider so the doors can run freely?

If you can explain why I am at fault then I am more than willing to listen to your explanation?

The door floor runner mechanism, as you can see, catches the other door and has damaged the profile. This is factory fitted so I can’t see how any adjustment could be made to stop this happening?

I didn't get a response so I emailed them again today and this was the reply I received;

"All your pictures show is that you mismeasured.
The doors are not faulty, and we will not be collecting them.
You will need to return them to us.
We will issue a refund while you remove your review which is a lie.
Don't contact us again."

I SUGGEST YOU THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING WARDROBES FROM THIS COMPANY! IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG THEN THE RESPONSE IS UNCOMPROMISING!

I have just completed fitting my wardrobe sliding doors and couldn't be more happy, from the very professional and friendly delivery and the quality and finish on the doors and the ease of fitting them.

I have just installed my sliding door system and I am delighted ! The whole process of ordering was daunting but easy with excellent customer service from a very helpful lady on the phone, the delivery guy was also very kind and carried all my doors and tracking in to my house for me and arrived exactly when he said he would. I was a bit worried I wouldn’t be able to install them without help but in the end I found it very straightforward with the instructions and knew I could ring for advice should I need to. The end result is fantastic and has made such a difference to the look of the room, I will be back when I do the next bedroom and thoroughly recommend this company , thank you slide wardrobes !
