One of my components (hot water power diverter) has gone wrong. It has a 5y warranty. It was installed 4y8m ago. However it was shipped to the installer and sat on their shelf for a few months. Hence they claim it’s out of warranty. They initially confirmed with the installer it was in warranty but have since changed their mind.

Furthermore, even though it was clear it was broken, they insisted the installer visit to diagnose it. That cost me £170 for the installers call out. And of course they’re going to want another £170 to replace the unit regardless of the warranty.

SolarEdge is an awful company, ignore warranty, impossible to communicate with other than a bot, you raise a case and they close it for no reason ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

Do not use, near non existent customer support, warranty not honoured and no installers to install new inverters that have been replaced after only 4 years. Both original inverters faulty.

Installation réalisée en 2021. Sur 28 panneaux seuls 14 produisent depuis juin 2026. La placeur initial a été repris par diverses société. Le nouveau placeur réclame plus de 500euros pour intervenir alors que l'installation est sous garantie. Et voilà comment la rentabilité s'écroule d'un coup... sans compter : 1/l'impossibilité de contacter qui que ce soit chez solaredge (à part une IA qui fait sont possible à vous renvoyer vers un service technique inexistant ou un site web qui ne fonctionne pas plus) 2/l'impossibilité de connaître la liste des placeurs agréés solaredge 3/l'obligation de demeurer chez un placeur agréé... cela commence à faire beaucoup de désagréments envers ce fournisseur.

Ich kann die Wallbox von Solar-Edge in Kombination mit PV-Überschussladen nicht empfehlen. Die Wallbox ist nicht in der Lage den PV-Überschuss zu managen und damit zu laden. Die App zeigt PV-Überschussladen an, die Wallbox lädt immer mit Maximalleistung - in meinem Fall 1-phasig mit 6,9 KW. Der Support ist sehr bemüht, bekommt das (Softwareproblem) aber nicht hin. Deshalb kann ich SolarEdge nicht weiterempfehlen. Da gibt es andere Hersteller (PV und Wallbox) die das besser hinbekommen.

Update 04.09.2026: Nach über einer Woche hat sich der Support noch immer nicht gemeldet. Ich bleib dran.

Onze omvormer is sinds april aan het sukkelen. Dan doet ie het 1 dag en dan weer een paar weken niet omdat Solar Edge niet bereikbaar is voor de particulier. Miosole uit Zaltbommel probeert geweldig goed te helpen maar Solar Edge blijft in gebreken augustus weer geen zonnestroom. Ik wordt er ,o vreselijk moe van

I have tried more than 20 times to contact UK support centre re warranty claim. Calls are diverted to USA and then diverted back to a non-existent UK support centre
Helpful engineer phoned me but gave me a link to SolarEdge support which required my installers SE number. The link did not recognise the approved installer.
I have had to pay over £900 to cover the cost of replacing same optimiser which failed 1 year earlier.
Impossible to contact non-technical support to request a refund.
They have an address in UK but 2 active Directors live abroad.
The CEOs which are found on the internet appear to have left to other companies

Opened a case with Solar Edge and they were straight on it with an email to check part of the system. One email later and they had remotely solved the communication issue I was having with the battery.
I was only off line for a few hours so super happy how quickly the issue got resolved. Thanks!

Ich bin begeistert vom Chat Support -nach zwei Fragen (bin ich Installateur oder Privat und bin ich auf der Baustelle ja oder nein) ist man im Chat und es geht sofort los. Nach wenigen Minuten hatte ich Kontakt mit dem Mitarbeiter Gagan.MC. Mir wurde ausführlich und geduldig geantwortet und Optionen wurden durchgespielt. Ich würde 6 von 5 Sternen geben wenn ich könnte.
