What a delightful discovery! We ventured to this restaurant after hearing rave reviews and finding our regular Indian takeaway unavailable. The experience was a pleasant revelation. Their curries stood out with a distinctive texture and a perfectly balanced flavor, even when we opted for personalized spice levels and protein choices. The lamb starter was cooked to perfection, and the rice servings were ideal in size. The mint sauce packed a punch, and the onion salad was inventively arranged with lettuce and red onion slices. The cost was proportional to the high quality, making it a remarkable choice for a memorable meal. For those in search of exceptional takeaway, this is the place to go. Incredible experience! We decided to try this place based on glowing recommendations, as our regular Indian spot was not open. The curries were richly flavorful, each dish offering its own distinct taste according to our spice and protein preferences. The lamb starter was perfectly succulent, and the rice portions were satisfyingly ample. The mint sauce was vibrantly refreshing, and the onion salad was a delightful mix with red onion slices atop crisp lettuce. Excellent value for money, providing a dining experience well above the ordinary. Highly recommend ordering your next takeaway from here if you're after delicious food. Though I can’t speak for dining in, as our order was for takeaway, I'm sure it's just as wonderful. Feel free to ask for photos as proof of this fantastic experience!

Awful. Ordered from here because of recommendations and our normal Indian takeaway being closed. Watery curries, everything tasted the same despite choosing our spice levels and protein. Dry lamb starter , portions of rice not as full as you would expect. Psychadelic mint sauce rhat had not even a touch of mint, slices of a red onion on top of lettuce for an onion salad. Excessive prices for not even average food. Utterly utterly disappointed. If you want good food, please don’t order from here for a takeaway. Can’t comment on the restaurant as this was a takeaway. Happy to provide photos to corroborate the review.

Visited Spicy Tadka on a Friday evening with a friend.

The restaurant was buzzing, and was well decorated with a superb mural on one of the walls.

Service was quick and friendly.

The food was absolutely amazing; a real joy of textures and flavours and was very well presented.

The staff were so good, and were all working as a team with every request handled quickly and efficiently.

All in all a superb evening, well priced and very enjoyable.

My son-in-law ordered takeout for the first time via a popular app, for our games night at home. We were very impressed very tasty, arrived quickly, with smilie friendly service. Will definitely order again. 👍🏻👍🏻

Worst ever food ordered. I was really disappointed. I ordered thinking it's a 4.3 rating, it may be good but I was really wrong. Dansak curry tasted like tin tomatoes with frozen packet vegetables. No flavours and tasted the worst ever. I tried other restaurants dansak curry and all came good. This restaurants is by far the worst in Basingstoke. Whoever the chef is, they need help with cooking. They cannot cook. And I am saying this as I'm from an Asian background. The worst ever food tried. Would not want this for others who order food.

I went there with family today for lunch but the quality of food was so bad. So disappointed. I would never recommend.

Great service.
But be aware the people working there have no idea what is going on.
We had the Xmas meal, 8 of us with the unlimited drinks.
Asked, what drinks were included, and were told, everything on the drinks menu.
3 of the serving staff were asked, all 3 said the same.
End of the night a 900 pound bill came.
The manager, who I spoke to on arrival about the drinks, said this wasn't the case.
Be wary, the are trying to trap you.

Order was two hours late; had to argue with them to get them to refund and was told on four separate occasions that the food was ten minutes away. Food never showed up. Avoid - we used to order from here every couple of weeks but we won’t be going back

Ordered via a well known delivery service. Order arrived quickly for which I have given one star. The chicken madras was awful. The chicken seemed to have been overcooked and reheated in a gravy that was much too sweet and without spice. It tasted as if someone had started off with a tikka masala and tried to change it half way through. The poppadoms were burned, and the samosas thick and tasted unpleasant. Such a shame as I'd read so many good reviews, but I'll not be using them again.

I have been using this restaurant since it set up in Basingstoke and it is always excellent.

Food is superb and varied - especially for vegetarians and is always prepared freshly and piping hot when delivered.

Great food and service, great value

Amazing restaurant, I love my food and every time I visit I couldn't recommend this place enough. If you love Indian food and live or are visiting Basingstoke this is the place to go. Manager and waiters are very firendly and professional, on my last visit i was looked after by Vaish who had done an excellent job looking after my table. Thank You!

We love the food from spicy tadka!
We regularly order our takeaway from them and they have always delivered high quality dishes! It arrives hot and fresh each time. Highly recommended!

Excellent Meal—very tasty with a perfect combination of spices, and it was a good temperature when delivered and still hot! My only suggestion would be to improve the appearance of the Raita, which was slightly brown in colour, although it did taste okay and seemed to be fresh.

Great food, nice and spicy. Prawn starter was lovely.
