I had a 1 year old bike where the rear shox IFP seal leaked. Even if the shox is warrantied for 2 years, it did not apply as i'm the second owner. I did even contacte SRAM and bought a 200hrs service kit from Mikesbikeshop and installed it. I'm a mechanical engineer so needless to say that it was properly installed. Repair went awesome for around 20 hours then the aircan seal started to leak. Long story short, the bike shop refered me to Sram for customer support. Within a few emails exchanges, Sram throwed the fault back to me (apparently i've rided to much, shox needed another service, they dont warranty seal kits, poor installation, dirt debris, etc. It is not normal for a 1k$ shox to require extensive and multiple repairs within a year and a half from new. I will initiate a legal claim and see where that lands. I can't say product is not good but definitely that customer service is horrible. No thanks to Daniel at stscanada "at" sram.com 604 990 7070.

Ich habe kürzlich auf die Empfehlung von Radfahrer- Kolleg* innen eine Kette der Firma SRAM erworben, und muss sagen, ich war echt angenehm überrascht, wie die Kette geliefert wurde, in einer Schachtel aus Kunststoff, und wunderbar vorgefettet. Genau dies Fett veranlasste mich interessehalber, den SRAM Productservice zu kontaktieren, und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Innerhalb von drei Tagen gelang es dem Support, mir in sehr freundlicher Form eine Antwort zu meiner sicher eher lapidaren Frage zu schicken. Klar, da steckt auch Eigeninteresse hinter - aber es ist angenehm zu wissen, dass diese Weltfirma auch für lapidare Angelegenheiten ihrer Kunden Zeit hat. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich, in unserer Zeit schon gar nicht!

Obsolescence programmé sur le dérailleur avant force etap, juste après la fin de la garantie. Le dérailleur ne se mettait plus à jour et du coup, ne pouvait fonctionner avec le dérailleur arrière.

I have a more than pleasant experience with SRAM rider support. I've asked more then several questions divided in 4-5 emails regarding the SRAM Force brakes that I have for more than 10 years and the possibility to mount new carbon wheels on such old brakes. Their employee in the support department has more than kindly and very patiently helped me to find my way around the questions and problems I have with mounting new wheels.

I brought 2 rockshox/sram reverb axs dropper posts
Both failed within 3 months with same issue of not fully extending , they were sent back to sram for repair, one was sent back after 3 weeks but was still faulty so inset it back again , this time they said its fixed was user error causing the issue as my bike must be to slack lol ,
I would not recommend this company

I contacted customer service to buy a spare part for something out-of-warranty, but unfortunately it's not available for sale. A few months later another customer service person reached out to me and offered to send me a replacement part from a warranty repair, and arranged free shipping to my local bike shop. I was really surprised they kept my request on file and solved my problem!

Had a faulty shifter that broke after 1 ride. Contacted SRAM after Evans made it clear they were going to mess me about to get this warrantied.

Customer service made it clear to me that SRAM are unwilling to stand by their products. They suggested I go to a dealer, who then expected me to pay to process a warranty return! SRAM didn't seem to think this was odd, or that maybe they should ensure their dealers are adequately compensated for sorting out warranty issues.

They didn't seem that bothered about examining the failed product - I ended up throwing it in the bin. I'd have expected a competent company to want to inspect it, if only to improve their manufacturing to avoid a repeat occurrence.

I certainly won't be buying any of their gear in future.

Ich habe ein Cervelo R5 mit Sram-Red Komponente gekauft. .
Egal wie ich den Umwerfer einstelle, ist Kettenabwurf in der Tagesordnung. Das macht kein Spaß mehr überhaupt Rennrad zu fahren. 12000,- Euro Fahrrad ist ein unglaubliches Schrott. Alle Tipps wie Titte usw gefolgt. Ohne Erfolg.
Ich fahre halbes Jahrhundert Rennrad und schraube gern. Faire Weise soll Firma Stam den Umwerfer tauschen.
Was soll ich die Anderen antworten, wenn sie mich über Sram-Red fragen?
Ich bin sehr unglücklich mit Sram.

I have SRAM Force eTap AXS on my bike. This is a fantastic groupset. I have found their support team extremely helpful.

My SRAM drains the batteries every other week. Answer from the company: Nothing wrong. That is crazy

So much for standing by their products! Buyer BEWARE - my SRAM Red AXS 12 speed rear derailleur went completely dead after 2.5 years - found out they only warranty it for 2 years! I would think a derailleur should last years and years! Now I’ve gotta shell out $700+ for a new one?!! Reading online that this has been a known issue - with many failing. And they won’t stand by their product? Going back to Shimano - will never buy SRAM again!

SRAM Rival AXS von 2022. Warnung: Ganz schlechte Qualität der Schalter und der Elektronik. Und keinerlei Kulanz des Herstellers in Deutschland. Ärgerlich. So wird man Kunden und seinen Ruf als Hersteller los.

Ich bin erschüttert feststellen zu müssen, dass die Kette 12G Sram SX nach gerade einmal 460 Kilometern soweit verschlissen ist, dass sie ausgetauscht werden muss! Der Antrieb wurde regelmäßig geölt, nach jeder (!) Fahrt gereinigt, hat selbstverständlich nie Rost angesetzt und bis auf wenige Ausnahmen auch bei trockenen Bedingungen gefahren. Bisher habe ich noch keine Kette vor einer Leistung von 2000km wechseln müssen. Hier ist dies aber bereits nach weniger als einem Viertel dessen der Fall!!!
Dies ist in keinster Weise hinzunehmen.

Although they have great made innovations like cage lock (that they urgently need to migrate to road groupsets), UDH, waterproof-easy to use-multi compatible-AXS system, the customer support doesn't suck....because it's non-existant. I had a brand new Rival AXS XPLR derailleur that was 'bricked' because of a buggy Sram AXS app. The problem ciculated on the internet for at least half a year before Sram did something about it (they don't answer to the questions and refer to the standard answers). I got the problem solved by using the app on a older Android version...after a long search on the internet (i had a old phone in the drawer). This happened one year an a half ago. Actually i wanted to comment on the faulty BB92/86 pressfit BB's that keep sucking up water & mud via the axle (and seize up). So after 4 years of using DUB i'll switch to Shimano 24mm cranksets in combo with third party chainrings. Sram doesn't listen to the users of their products. Only their own tests are of importance. ....and that's why they will never beat Shimano.
So Sram service doesn't suck....it just doesn't exist.
...and the Rival derailleur's pivots were worn out after only 5 months of winter cyclocross (lot's of play).
While i'm at it:
Instead of removing the brake adjust from the Force brakes Sram should implement the brake adjust on all road and mtb brakes. Shimano can, so why can't Sram do this!?...it's a must have that makes cyclo life soooo much more easy (I use a Shimano xt brakeset on my Sram groupset mtb because if this).
And while i'm at it 2:
Why doesn't Sram able all the caliper bleed ports to be closed like on the Force and Red?! It's shameful that you have to let come the brake oil out of the caliper bleed port....after pressurizing the oil with the syringe!!
Let these issues please please flow upward, all the way to the top of Sram development management.

SRAM/RockShox scheint sich auf dem vorauseilenden Namen auszuruhen. Der Kundenservice ist bei Problemen eine Katastrophe. Unser Dämpfer Rockshox SuperDeluxe Select Plus aus dem Canyon Torque 27.5 AL verliert nach nicht einmal einem Jahr sehr schnell die Luft, obwohl das Rad nur im Flachland auf befestigten und Wald-Wegen genutzt wird. Die Werkstatt bekam eine Freigabe von SRAM, diesen zur Garantiereparatur einzusenden. Nach 6 Wochen kam der Dämpfer endlich zurück. Die Werkstatt baute ihn ein und stellte noch vor der Übergabe fest, dass der Fehler noch immer besteht. Super! Jetzt warten wir wieder, da der Dämpfer erneuert eingeschickt werden sollte. SRAM ist nicht erreichbar, um die Situation zu klären - nebenbei sieht sich auch Canyon nicht in der Lage, hier eine kundenorientierte Lösung zu schaffen.

Mein RS Super Deluxe Coil Select+ Dämpfer hatte beim Einfedern ein klackendes Geräusch im Ausgleichsbehälter. Das Bike wurde letztes Jahr im November gekauft, also wurde der Dämpfer innerhalb der Gewährleistung eingeschickt, geprüft, und für defekt erklärt. Anstandslos wurde er gegen einen höherwertigen RS Super Deluxe Coil Ultimate ausgetauscht. Leider gab es ein Problem beim Emailverkehr, wofür SRAM aber nichts kann, nach telefonischer Rücksprache am Freitag erhielt ich den Dämpfer bereits am Samstag.

Top Service, gerne wieder!

De super produit mais SAV inutile lorsqu'il vous arrive un pb:
- Casse (rupture complète) de la manivelle droite de mon pédalier XX1 Edition Nino 2021 : proposition commerciale de -25% sur le produit neuf même pas en finition Nino ...
- Jeu identique à ce qu'il y avait avant la rupture sur ma manivelle SRAM RED ... j'arrête tout de suite de l'utiliser, remplacement par un Shimano Dura Ace !
- Feuille d'étanchéité du PWmeter Quarq percée: pièce non disponible en APV (ce serait dommage de réparer une pièce à 700E avec une feuille autocollante à 3E ...
Conclusion: produits performants

Laufrad für 1000 €!! geordert .. sehen Klassen aus, fahren sich gut . Für den Preis verlange ich aber ein guten Support wenn doch Mal etwas sein sollte . Pustekuchen !
Ich muss stattdessen meinem Händler auf den Leim gehen , wo denn mein auf Garantie eingesendetes Laufrad verbleibt ?!
5 Wochen bei denen ohne das irgendjemand sich den Inhalt überhaupt mal angeschaut hat . Ja soll ich jetzt Einrad fahren auf dem Bike oder wie ?
Also selber tätig geworden und dort angerufen..keine Auskunft an Endkunden obwohl ich alle Daten zum Auftrag vorlegen kann .
Okay, dann eben eine Mail .. nach sorgfältiger überlegung wie ich diese am besten nicht ausfallend verfasse, habe ich denke ich doch eine sehr freundliche Mail zusammen bekommen . Abgeschickt und prompt sogar eine automatisierte Antwort erhalten: meine e-mail Adresse wurde geblockt, da ich nicht im Händlerpool bin .
Naja nun wieder den Weg zum händler und ihm auf den Kern gehen .. für ein 1000€ teures Vorderrad denke ich, hätte man mehr erwarten können .
Jedenfalls, wird der LRS und andere Komponenten nun via Auktion veräußert und durch teile mit Support ersetzt ... durch fähige Konkurrenz ... jemand mit Eiern die hinter ihrem Produkt stehen und nicht den Händlern den Frust der Kunden fressen lassen .
Das war's dann SRAM !
