Steal City Ammo went above expectations during the pandemic in supplying me with the Ammo I needed without price galging like other companies

This company goes above and beyond to find calibers to have in stock during these trying times. I check back often to pick up 9mm and they even were able to find 45 Long Colt that they remembered I requested months ago. They reached out to notify me if I was still interested or had any luck finding any. I took the 45 long colt and would recommend buying here to anyone. They have a customer for life on this end.

Had a slight issue with my order, to the tune of missing a box of ammo on shipment. I immediately reached out and received a favorable response within about a day or so. Totally understandable given the current market. Customer service was prompt and kind, easy to deal with. I follow them on Facebook now for updates and saw there Trust Pilot link. happy to leave a good review for an honest company! Thank you for doing what you do Steel City Ammo!

I was told 10 business day lead time. Today is 10 business days and I can't get a status update. They just keep saying 10 business days. I'll give it a few more days, then I'm submitting a chargeback with the CC company.
Update: I ordered on 9/7/2021. I called and texted repeatedly on 9/22/2021 and finally found out they didn't even have the ammo in stock anymore. Now I'm waiting for a refund, if I could give zero stars I would.

I placed an order on 20 Aug understanding that Steel City had increased their lead times to 10 business days (info from their website). Only problem is it is now 20 Sep and I still have not received my order. Between then and now I've attempted to contact them through email, phone, and text but received no response at all. Order status says "Processing" on their website. If they're still waiting on a shipment of ammo to be able to fulfill my order, then cool, I get it. Unfortunately I can't actually get any update because it's impossible to get in contact with anyone over there. If they ever do contact me I'll try and update this review but right now I'm contemplating if I should call my bank and claim fraud for the charge on this order.

*Update: I was finally able get in contact with the company via Facebook and they shipped out my order the next business day. It arrived 3 days later. Apparently there was a safety recall of the ammo I originally ordered (ZSR) so they substituted a different brand (Wolf) with my approval. Upgrading to 4 stars since they took care of me, but can’t swing 5 due to the difficulty in getting in contact with the company.

Steel city is my go to ammo supplier. Always has great prices. Can either ship it or do local pickup. They always have the calibers I need in stock as well! If you haven't, I highly suggest placing an order.

I was one of the earlier customers, the experience has only gotten better and it was darn near perfect to begin with. Honest and fair pricing, superior customer service and great lead times.

Extremely great bunch of people to purchase from! Helped me in every way possible. Had a problem with my order, but they talked me through it and fixed the problem with ease. I will definitely be ordering from them again for my gun shop!
