rubbish did not work and a mega hassle if you do get your money back,as they want proof of this and proof of that.its just a big con.would not recommend at all.buyers beware.could end up with more damage.

I have used this now in 2 different cars, both with head issues. It didn't fix either of them. They claim its guaranteed to fix any car and they claim it works in 99%of cars so I must have been extremely unlucky to get the 2 cars in that 1% failure. Sadly the money garantee is nearly impossible to get it's not even worth bothering with and They don't state the terms and conditions on the bottle, use k-seal as a £10 fix8t may or may not fix it but it's cheaper than this rubbish.

The head gasket on my 2002 Renault Clio 1.2 16V had blown. Quoted £1000 + to replace which was more than the value of the car, was recommended this product by another garage and so thought I'd give it a go instead of scrapping car. Followed the very clear video on YouTube and an hour later all fixed. That was 3 weeks ago been using the car since no leaks, smell of hot rubber or topping up water so very pleased with the result

In April this year my 2018 Skoda Octavia was diagnosed with a potentially cracked head gasket. Facing a bill running into hundreds of pounds, I did some online research and came across Steel Seal. The reviews were good in the main so I decided to give it a try. I used Steel Seal exactly as directed and was pleased with the result; the engine coolant needed to be topped up less often. Following more research I put a second bottle into the system.

A few weeks ago I turned the hot air on for the first time since the Steel Seal has been introduced to the system. There was no hot air. I took the car to a mechanic who diagnosed that the heater matrix was blocked. I booked the car in and the work has been completed at a cost of £500. I was shown the heater matrix and it was completely blocked with a brown grease-like substance. Speaking with the mechanic we are sure that it is the Steel Seal that has caused this blockage. So it has avoided repair of the head gasket but left me with a huge bill for an issue caused by Steel Seal.

Followed the instructions on the bottle to the letter.
This product worked for me. The car had previously been ran out of water and driven until it overheated. Blew the radiator hose up like a balloon and steam billowing out.
After the product application and leaving the car to cool it now doesn't overheat or use water. The car is being driven around with no issues.
Steel seal is very much worth a go, for £40 odd pounds it's a no brainier.
Follow the bottle's instructions fastidiously though.

Product didn't work for me (I had the less common backpressure issue), but customer service were easy to get hold of, knowledgeable and the company did honour their money back guarantee. I don't think I could ask for more.

Flushed anti freeze out of sons car and only added water back for the steel seal. Ran engine for 30 minutes and left to cool. Seems to of worked straight away as now turns over straight away and was an effort to start before. Fingers crossed it will hold.
Definitely worth the cost whatever. Will add blue anti freeze tomorrow.

Fantastic product, saved me hundreds.

I took my car to a local garage and was diagnosed with a head gasket problem. I was quoted £800 + for a replacement head gasket, which I simply could not afford. A friend recommended Steel Seal, I purchased a bottle and the garage happily applied it.

I was absolutely frantic as I use my car to get my children to school and myself to work. I admit, I was dubious to begin with, that a liquid would fix an £800 problem, but it worked!

I have since driven more than 1200 miles and there is no sign of a problem at all. I am very pleasantly surprised.

In the end the cost was a bottle of Steel Seal and 1 hour labour from the garage. So I saved around £700.

I was sceptical, but only needed the car for a few more weeks, so I'd thought I'd give it a go. Citroën C3 1.4 petrol, gone in the usual place at the oil gallery in the front corner of the head gasket. Drained and flushed oil and coolant. Followed instructions, expansion tank reminded me of a slushy machine but after running up to temp and ticking over, I let it cool. Some residue in the expansion bottle, but the car has run fine with no issues for several hundred miles now.

No money back, did not work ( mecanic in work 17 year +)
Garbage, save your money dont by this.

As a non believer in such products have so far (three weeks) have been proven wrong and I can put my quote of £600 away VERY HAPPY!

Didn’t work rang for assistance which was a premium rate number the person who answered the phone couldn’t help and said a colleague would ring back
Never received a call poor product poor customer service wouldn’t recommend.

No More White Smoke! Did a complete flush of my coolant and oil and put this in and its worked. Worth ago if you're looking at getting your head gasket done anyways. It will let you know, if it doesn't work, that you have a serious issue that might be more than a blown head gasket and more like a cracked head.

Bought 2 bottles of this and it did not fix anything.
I asked the company several times if they have any advice and had no answer for a while. eventually they answered and gave no advice.
told me if I want my money back I had yo go pay a garage to do a pressure test.
I couldn't even find a garage that does that around where I live.
so don't expect for your money back

Was used according to instructions (some of which is NOT disclosed on the bottle) so we had to find those on the net. Still did not fix the head gasket leak or even made any difference.
The best part is that you only get a refund if you can prove to Steel Seal Ltd that you either scrapped your vehicle after putting this sh...t in it or had a qualified VAT registered garage/mechanic repaired it. Again these conditions for a refund are NOT disclosed on the bottle. Apparently the use of this product deems acceptance of Steel Seals terms and conditions but those terms and conditions are NOT disclosed on the bottle. Useless and misleading.

I purchased items a month ago and didn't receive the items. I paid by paypal to make sure that is a serious company. I even did not receive confirmation email about purchase. There is no response from steelseal.co.uk. Stay away. Try halfords. There are so many good brands.

Had a small problem with my order, the warehouse manager "Wayne" took me through step by step until it was resolved. Absolutely brilliant customer service, above & beyond as they say. Their products were awesome & for the price unbelievabley low.
Such a great company to do business with I can recommend this company 100% for great products, fantastic customer service & great value for money. Will definitely be doing business again.
