Shak made the experience great from start to finish. His knowledge of the car was sound, he communicated well throughout and was honest and helpful and reliable. Was a pleasure doing business with him.

This is my 3rd car from the Harrogate BMW dealership now and this was probably the best service I have received so far. Shak was great at sourcing me a new car, kept me updated throughout and the handover was seamless. Great communication from Shak and great service, he couldn't have done more.

The salesman Shak Mia could not have been more accommodating and helpful throughout the process. We achieved a deal which I was pleased with and of course my new Z4 is cracking. I would not hesitate to deal with this company and salesman again.

Poor service and stuck up staff. Went in to purchase a car and the staff totally blanked me and wouldn’t even look at me even though they were stood doing nothing. Lost custom over thinking they are better than certain people who come into their store . Disgusting. Went to mercedes down the road instead and they were friendly, helpful and i didn’t feel judged like at bmw harrogate

The car itself is excellent and at a good price. The salesman, Shak Miah, was helpful straightforward and made the whole process stress free. The dealership has a great range of new and used cars, I bought a used approved 2 series, my first BMW, and unlikely to be my last.

We popped over to Harrogate, as York showroom was shut, to view a BMW we were both interested in. The service we recieved on that day was very professional, polite and un-rushed. We were both suprised to find the car we initially thought was our favourite, wasn't! However, the dealer asked what our requirements were. We told him about the car we saw on the York website and he accommodated us very well by searching cars they had within there group. Having spotted the car of our dreams, the dealer then showed us the same model (brand new) in there showroom, to ensure we liked it. We loved it!! We were listened too, our dealer added his experience and recommendation to help us make the right decision. Our purchase felt great and the car is awesome. Our dealer was Hayden...go and see him, he will not disappoint.

Friendly bunch at the Harrogate branch - had the pleasure of speaking with numerous members of staff from all departments and they will always resolve bookings, servicing and other issues with adaptability and responsiveness. Good to see a customer service team mix humour and professionalism (seems to be a long lost art these days)

I visited Stratstone BMW Harrogate on consecutive days in early October as both of our cars were booked in for work to be carried out. The service staff were excellent in how they scheduled the works initially but also in how they kept us fully appraised of progress throughout. They were so helpful and informative, dealt with everything in a very professional manner but more importantly they were extremely pleasant and made us feel liked valued customers. In this day and age where certain companies and dealerships might prefer digital as opposed to individual interaction the customer centric service Harrogate BMW gives is what sets them apart from the rest and deserves recognition.

Recently, I have visited the BMW service center in Harrogate on several occasions due to various issues with my X3, including ball joints, brake disks, and faulty bulbs. The exceptional service and customer care provided by Lydia, Jeremy, and their team have been truly remarkable. Lydia’s exemplary professionalism, particularly in accommodating my short-notice appointment before a very important long trip to Scotland, is highly appreciated. I bought mini cooper 2018 as an approved used from Stratstone Harrogate on June 2023. I took it to Synter Slough and then quenching service history and I shared service history document I received from Stratstone. But there is No Service on history document! I asked service history several time but nothing from them. I paid %10 percent to buy a approved used but I understand it is no reliable unfortunately!

From my initial booking in with Natasha and Lydia to my workshop experience with Orestas and Jeremy the customer service was outstanding. They went above and beyond in every aspect.

Harrogate isn’t my local dealership however with the service I have continued to receive for the last 19 years I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

I lost all sound on my BMW and took it in for diagnosis - £150 and they said it needed a new amplifier at a cost of £1800.
I took it elsewhere to be told amplifier was fine and they fixed a simple fault for minimal cost.
I filled in online form to complain 16 days ago, sent 2 reminders and I have still heard nothing.
Take this experience as a warning of their bad diagnosis and could not care attitude.

I ordered BMW X5 50e hybrid from Harrogate. Due to IBS recall vehicle cannot be delivered because of the pending recall. Need to travel to Europe for couple of weeks at the end of the month. Having only full EV in the house BMW Harrogate knew about the situation so they organised a car hire via Enterprise rental which offered a car hire but for a fee of £300 as the vehicle would go to EU but they advised they would communicate with BMW to clear £300 fee for abroad travel because the whole purpose of the car hire was to have vehicle which can travel to Europe without having to charge every 150 miles in winter. So Enterprise car rental employee collected me at home, drove me to collect the vehicle at their rental place and than told me the BMW refused to pay £300. I call the manager at Harrogate who was disinterested but said 'Sorry that I could not help you more'. Not entirely sure what he meant by 'help' but it was probably that he helped me to be become fitter when I had to walk back home because Enterprise employee did not show any interest in getting me home when they saw that they won't have any bussines.

So far overall disappointment to be truthful.

Where do I start……I’ll keep it brief but it has been a, well an ordeal!

Avoid, do not waste your time or money, (use Sytner BMW instead) If you reeeaaalllly want to buy a car from them do so with extreme caution - if you don’t heed my warning and a chap called Chris tries to sell you a car, put the phone down.

We paid £30k for a 22 plate M135i (Reg YA22 JHF, do not buy that car!), a distance purchase having bought BMW’s for 20 years and having trusted them. Dealt with a salesperson called Chris, seemed a trustworthy chap (how wrong was I) - told all it had was a few stone chips, he sent me a lovely video and assured me it would be serviced.

Well, it arrived, hours later than I was told and after the dealership had closed:

An invoice for the incorrect amount:
Scratches on the inside and outside:
Not serviced or valeted:
Not fuelled as agreed:
No information on the breakdown, MOT, warranty cover etc etc
With a bumper repair in a different colour!

“No problem sir” Chris said, the delivery driver must have done the bumper (yeah, right) and it’s not “my fault”…. “But, we’ll sort it all out for you and give you a loan car”. Car gets collected and “this is good service” I thought to myself……

Well…….2 days later I get a call from Janet the “quality customer care manager”, who by the way just does what she is told by management who won’t actually speak to customers and introduces herself as “the lady that just gets shouted at by customers”. She told me “it should never had been delivered to you like this” BUT “We can’t sort it all out, Chris shouldn't have told you that” was the tone of the conversation……oh, “and you can’t speak to anyone else now only me”. But, no one answers the phone anyway, when they do it’s a salesperson and no one is ever available to actually speak to with any authority.

A week later the car comes back, with new scratches and scuffs, a damaged key, the ambient lighting no longer working on the dash and another ‘iffy’ repair on the bumper…….that Sytner BMW quoted £1000 to repair properly!

Alas, I had no choice but to reject the car after their refusals to actually bring it up to BMW approved standard and it was returned on July 22nd for a full refund. Fast forward 18 days and I FINALLY got it after constant reassurance that failed to materialise, with £210 deducted for a loan car I didn't sign for and wasn't told about when it came. Citizens advice have confirmed this is against the law!

It’s with the Police and soon to be with the courts for my civil claim - I have proof they lied to me on several occasions, held the V5C back when it should have been sent to the DVLA and the best bit, Janet told me “a used car doesn't come better than this”.....which if true means BMW have really dropped their standards. Stratstone customer service as I have found out, send complaints to the dealership to investigate - absolutely no impartiality and a process set up to fail. BMW washed their hands of it very, very quickly.

I have since bought a car from Sytner BMW, a far more pleasurable experience and I got a fantastic car, with great customer service. My advice - give this bottom of the ladder, ‘run on a shoestring’, untrustworthy BMW dealership a wide berth.

One final thing, look at the reviews - the dealership manager only acknowledges positive reviews and leaves the negative to customer services, he refused to even speak to me - make your own mind up about the type of leadership there and the ethos at the dealership if he doesn’t take the time to acknowledge the poor experiences……My opinion - they simply do not care.

What I like about BMW Pannal, is that from the moment I walk into Stratstone I am greeted with an immediate welcome smile from Reception who listens and straight away directs me to the precise person I need to see. On the Service counter, David, Mark and Martina were all so efficient, quickly got me booked in , and their service team did exactly what was required and in the timescale advised. I also welcomed the feedback that my Aircon needed regassing and they did that for me whilst in the workshop after first asking my permission.Outstanding service and totally Customer focused.
