Absolutely appalling experience with…
Absolutely appalling experience with Mercedes-Benz Rayleigh.
I entrusted them with my £200,000 G-Wagon for what should have been a straightforward service. Instead, my vehicle was returned damaged.
The exterior trims were damaged after what appeared to be TFR (traffic film remover) was sprayed onto them and left in direct sunlight for hours, permanently marking them. My driver’s door was also chipped while the vehicle was in their care.
The vehicle was inspected, and I was told this was not the first time something like this had happened. Liability for the door damage was initially admitted, yet they are now refusing to take responsibility for the full extent of the damage.
Dealing with the service manager, Paul Smith, has been incredibly frustrating. In my experience, I have been given conflicting information throughout the process and have completely lost confidence in what I have been told.
As a result of the way this has been handled, I am now taking legal action to recover my losses.
I chose Mercedes-Benz Rayleigh expecting a premium level of care and customer service. Instead, I have been left with a damaged vehicle, an ongoing dispute and a very stressful experience.
I would strongly urge anyone considering using this dealership to think twice before leaving their vehicle in their care.

Rip off Main Dealer
Rip off main dealer service given to a loyal customer of 10 years
£222 for a 'quick' diagnostic check which then took 3 days to carry out
Then quoted 2 hours labour to swap a faulty part that took 10 minutes to replace! £456 labour to remove 4 bolts!
Also wanted to charge for reprogramming the part which was not actually required!!
Mercedes do not own the car park at Southend so you are likely to get a parking ticket when you leave your car there!
You then get their 'Customer Care' team contact you (see below) and you waste your time replying thinking they may do something
Instead they try and justify £222 for a 5 minute diagnostic check that took them 3 days to perform, and that 2 hours labour (£456) is justified to remove 4 bolts (took me 10 minutes)!
BEWARE!!
