Extremely disappointing experience with Sytner
Very disappointing experience with Sytner Select Bristol. I bought a car, waited a couple of weeks for some issues to be fixed (no courtesy car available at all), went to pick up the car and paid for it, then was told there was a safety recall notice on it. Waited another 9 days to then be told the car couldn't be sold to me and was going to be withdrawn from sale.
Three other dealerships have advised that they could have sold me the same car with the safety recall notice. So either they are wrong and Sytner was right, or Sytner are wrong. Sytner should have checked this and either not put the car up for sale in the first place or sold the car to me.
I had to borrow money from a relative in order to buy another car in the meantime while I was waiting to get my money back as I had sold my previous car thinking I would be getting the car from Sytner. I incurred significant stress and inconvenience while waiting for the car, including having to hire a car for a couple of days which cost me £130.
It took another 8 days and several phone calls to get my money back, including the warranty, from Sytner.
I have written and complained twice and have had no reply to either of my letters. I wasn't going to write a bad review because I hoped this wasn't typical of Sytner's service but, as I've now written two letters and have had no acknowledgement or response to either, I wanted to share my experience.
I'm extremely disappointed to not even get an acknowledgement and won't be using Sytner again.

Top Top Top buying experience
This has been the best car buying process I have experienced. Daniel Langley was knowledgeable, courteous and made the whole thing easier than you can imagine. I put a deposit down on Friday afternoon, took a train to Bristol, the car was ready for inspection (even better than expected), and the completion of the deal was quick and easy. Top Dealership, excellent team (thank you Daniel and Mark), I can only recommend you check them out, they might well have your next car and I can't imagine you wont be looked after.
I am loving my new car, when we upgrade our city runaround, I will surely go back :-)

AVOID SYTNER SELECT BRISTOL
To summarise a month of stress in one review- I travelled over 200 miles to collect a car that didn’t even have an MOT, despite being assured it would. It was suggested that I take it elsewhere for the MOT to be completed. Upon signing paperwork I was told there was only one key now as the other had to be destroyed, despite being told there were two keys during the enquiry stage. Within 24 hours, the engine management light came on. When I asked if it was safe to drive, I was told they couldn’t advise because the call was being recorded.
From that point on, the service was appalling. Emails were ignored, promised callbacks never happened, and I was passed between Bristol and Wakefield with no accountability. Once they had my money, it was clear customer care stopped.
I was left driving a faulty car for weeks because no courtesy car was available. When the car was finally inspected by Sytner MINI Sheffield (who were excellent), they found over £1,000 worth of issues—some of which should have been identified during the MOT, which Sytner Select Bristol had rushed through whilst I waited.
I rejected the vehicle, but even then the experience continued to be unacceptable. Delays in communication and refund processing left me without a car and without access to my money, causing significant stress and additional costs.
I chose this car based on previous positive experiences with Sytner Sheffield, but Sytner Select Bristol has seriously damaged my trust in the brand. I have sent a formal complaint three times and have still had absolutely no acknowledgement or response weeks later. I wasn’t going to publish a review, but the fact that I’ve been ignored so many times has encouraged me to do so.
I would strongly advise others to think carefully before buying from this dealership. Very helpful before they take your money, then ignore you as soon as you’ve parted with it. The so called ‘warranty’ isn’t worth the paper it is written on when no one will answer your calls or emails.

Booked car for MoT
Booked car for MoT. Pre arranged wait on site whilst MOT completed, arranged arrive first thing.
Arrived to be told MoT ramp not working, that car would need to go to third party garage and would be all day.
Had to get taxi home and reattend. Additional cost not really wanted.
Could of got warned or rearranged as wasn't convenient and messed up whole day.

Awful customer service I tried for 3…
I tried for 3 days to phone the office to ask a question also left voicemail and WhatsApp messages with no return call or to let me know when car was ready after MOT test not blaming the girls on the office desk they were polite and helpful when I dropped my car off and picked up but when nobody bothers to return your calls and messages it’s not very professional at all
