From 5* to 2*
My initial review was 5* but sadly I’m having to amend this, there has been a number of issues and while not so much with the sales process which was great, the issues all stem from the preparation of the vehicle. We paid the £399 for the GardX and frankly I wish we’s not bothered, the seats don’t appear to have been coated, I’ve tested them and water soaks straight in not like the demo I got from the sales team. And the paintwork looks like it’s just been rushed the coating has been applied over the top of what looks like bird poo residue so I can’t even clean this off. The minimum I would have expected was a full professional valet prior to GardX being applied both inside and out. I’m also unsure how the vehicle passed an MOT as a seatbelt buckle is trapped under the rear seat which is impossible to get to without breaking some single use components to lift the seat and push it back through the hole. We can’t currently do as we’ve planned due to this seatbelt issue. I will happily amend my review if and when these issues are ALL rectified.

Avoid at all costs
The sales process itself was good, and I purchased a Range Rover Sport. Unfortunately, my experience since then has been extremely disappointing.
On only the second full day of owning the vehicle, a suspension fault warning appeared, followed by the cruise control failing and several other warning lights. I contacted Sytner immediately by email but received no response. I then called the dealership and was told that someone from the service department would contact me to arrange repairs at a branch closer to me in Nottingham. That never happened.
Nearly three weeks later, I am still having to chase them myself. I have called multiple times and have even asked to speak to a manager, only to be told that someone would call me back. No one ever has.
The after-sales service has been appalling. I chose to buy from a main dealership and paid a premium price because I expected a high standard of customer service and support if any issues arose. Instead, I have been left with a faulty vehicle and ignored when trying to get the problems resolved.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Sytner to anyone.

My experience with Sytner Select…
My experience with Sytner Select Wakefield has been extremely disappointing.
When I purchased my Audi, I was specifically told that it had a full digital service history and that all servicing and Audi-recommended maintenance had been completed. I even asked specifically whether there was anything outstanding, including the cambelt and gearbox servicing, and I was reassured that everything required by Audi had already been done and that I had nothing to worry about.
However, I recently took the car to Audi Leicester for a service, where I was informed that there was no digital service history recorded for the vehicle. This came as a complete surprise and directly contradicts what I was told at the point of sale.
Since then, I have repeatedly tried to contact Sytner Select Wakefield to get an explanation and resolve the issue. Unfortunately, all I have received are empty promises that someone will call me back. Despite numerous follow-ups, no one has taken responsibility or contacted me. I have simply been passed from one person to another without any resolution.
The lack of honesty at the point of sale and the poor after-sales customer service have been extremely frustrating. If the information I was given about the vehicle's service history was inaccurate, that is a serious concern. Even more disappointing is the complete lack of communication and accountability when I have tried to raise the issue.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Sytner Select Wakefield. Buyers should independently verify the vehicle's service history and any claims made about maintenance before completing a purchase.

Really happy with the service from these guys from the start. I had my car booked in for 8 o’clock in…
I had my car booked in for 8 o’clock in the morning to have a new battery fitted and the gearbox sorted and also smoke coming out of dipstick and oil filler cap. They pulled the car in at 10:45. I left just after 3 o’clock to find out that they have put a cheap nasty battery on the car, which now I am going to have to take to Land Rover and have a proper battery fitted they told me the smoke coming out of the oil filler cap is nothing to worry about the gearbox still not sorted the wheels are atrocious as there was bodged up to sell now they have sold the car they are not interested. They are now trying to fob me off and probably waiting now for their warranty to run out. Absolute disgusting attitude by the receptionist on the service department. I am probably going to have to take this further as I don’t think the engine is right with all the smoke that is blowing out of it.

Incompetent management …
Saw a black Mini Cooper S on the main car floor. Booked a test drive and decided to buy. Sorted part exchange and Arranged collection for a few days later and deposit paid
So excited with my purchase
Arrived home and received a call from Kyle. Apparently the mini had been purchased by someone else the day before! Not remove from the floor court or online- so I had been test driving someone else’s car!!
They apologised and said a manager had made a mistake
Very unprofessional and obviously incompetent
So glad I hadn’t bought that vehicle to find people were test driving it
Lucky escape and a company to avoid!!

Great service and an excellent buying experience. Qasim answered all my questions and picked me up from the station so I could do a test drive. Car is just what I was looking for and he and Jonathan then helped get the paperwork sorted on the day despite the computer system not working perfectly.
