Brilliant service. Friendly staff. Lovely waiting area with nice coffee, drinks and treats. Passed MOT too. Very pleased. Very dog friendly too. Water and doggie treats on hard. Love Volvo!!

Lovely team of people, I recently dealt with the service department who were all very warm and polite. Communications could be a tad improved, it’s difficult to get through on the phone, messages don’t always get passed on or calls returned. Also, it’s a bit of a mystery to the layperson how all of this warranty team, versus Volvo versus dealership all works. To the customer, you’re all Volvo. Also, given you’d been working on my car for 4 days a little shake down of the mats and a wipe with a duster would’ve been appreciated.

Hi Volvo Team,
I am writing to raise a serious safety concern following recent work carried out on my vehicle at your service centre on Tuesday 17/03/2026.
During my visit, I was advised that one of my tyres had a cut, making the vehicle unsafe and illegal to drive, and that the tyre required full replacement. However, I subsequently sought a second opinion from a tyre specialist, who confirmed that the tyre had only a repaired puncture, not a cut. The puncture was already repaired, and I was informed that the tyre remained legal and did not require replacement. This raises concerns about the accuracy of the initial diagnosis provided.
More seriously, during a later inspection it was discovered that the retaining hardware on the rear left brake caliper was missing following your replacement of the brake pads on 17/03/2026. This is a critical safety component of the braking system, and its absence presents a significant risk.
After discovering this issue, I contacted Volvo and was instructed to attend Volvo Chester immediately to have the problem resolved. When I attended on Saturday, I was informed that the required part had to be sourced from another vehicle before it could be fitted to my car.
Driving a vehicle in this condition could result in:
Reduced or uneven braking performance
Movement or dislodgement of brake pads
Potential brake failure
This is a major safety failure that should never occur after professional servicing. I am extremely concerned that my vehicle was returned to me in an unsafe condition, particularly given the emphasis placed on safety by your team. This situation has put both myself and my family at risk.
In light of the above, I request:
A full explanation of how this oversight occurred
Confirmation of the measures you will implement to prevent such issues in the future
Appropriate compensation for the inconvenience, risk, and additional costs incurred
Given the seriousness of this matter, I expect a prompt and thorough response. If necessary, I am prepared to escalate this issue further.

A recent purchase of a nearly-new Volvo XC60 developed several issues shortly after picking up the car. In my uneducated opinion, none of these could have been predicted. The service received was exemplary. I was informed that they would need the car for a couple of days. Happy to report that all is now well. Thank you Volvo Chester for your expert and courteous care!

It was great to meet Kier and the team in Chester. Kier made the experience very pleasant and rewarding. Buying a car is always fraught with the anxiety of meeting expectations, requirements and budgets but at the end of the day it’s simply a purchasing experience, and Kier made experience simple.

Went in to have service and gurgling sunroof fixed. Came out with a refusal to fix the sunroof despite being under warranty and a scratch on the paintwork. Hadn't used this dealer for about 8yrs because they used to take the mick on pricing and didn't change an air filter they charged for. Thought they might have changed and gave them the benefit of the doubt having changed my car for one under warranty. Won't be using them again. They're still rubbish - use another, or better still, don't buy a Volvo.

Usual efficiency, good service useing the pick up and return , peace of mind with your trained workforce, only complaint, is price of AD-BLUE. £44. COME ON READLY AVAILABLE AT BEVANS, ASDA, THE RANGE, ECT. FOR £10 £11 £ £12, HAVE MENTIONED THIS BEFORE. Also best proce for 4 new tyres i need last time around from you was same price as i paid for 4 on line at buckley tyres. Regards sid harrison. Please note needed 3 new tyres on last service, Alan on the service desk came back with a best price of £900 , i got 4 tyres same make from Buckley tyres on line, for the same price. Always had great service from Alan over the years. Sorry to say had to sell my volvo due to ill health. Regards Sid Harrison
