Sent payment but they refused to answer any correspondence or supply the product we paid for. Very sad they are scamming charities in this way.

The worst company in the world. I am a charitable organization in South Africa, and I was registering on the Microsoft website for charitable organizations, and unfortunately the review is through this bad company. I sent all the required documents to support and the support said I want to contact you by phone and they did not call or respond to me after that.
I don't know what this mockery and insult by this company is

They cut off our email service with no warning and just before they closed their offices for 4 days. Left us with no email and their directions for restoring the service did not work. Completely unprofessional and unfriendly to a non-profit organization. :(

Their purchases of software or subscriptions is incredibly complicated - the customer service was ok but didn't know anything about Macs. And their partnership with Microsoft is beyond complicated - almost impossible to set up anything!!! Not sure the savings are worth the hassles!!!

Absolutely the most terrible company in America at customer service. Do yourself a favor and do not use this company, especially for Intuit or Quickbooks. They will never help you or get back to you with a question. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE NATION!!!!

Terrible organization at verifying nonprofits. We have wasted weeks sending document after document and they won’t verify the nonprofit even though they say it can be verified by the IRS website.

What happened to TechSoup??? They used to be there for its nonprofit customers. How many millions of dollars are they raking in and they cannot staff their phones. They no longer even have a sales line where one can call in to order software. Why are they only open 3 days a week now? Are they going out of business?

I have a crisis. Quickbooks is discontinuing the 2020 desktop version at the end of May and I have not heard from TechSoup on what options I have. They should be contacting ME instead of ME trying to get through to them. I bought the software through them. They should have their customer's best interest at heart. So sad. Have been using TechSoup for 30 years. If the price discounts through TechSoup were not so good, I would leave them for another software vendor. Do we have another option to TechSoup for our nonprofit software purchases?

Update: TechSoup needs to be revamped back to how they started - helping nonprofits purchase affordable software. Now they bombard you with emails every day for their products and services and when you go to the website to see them you get a teaser price "only $5 to access discounted price for Adode Acrobat Pro." Then they hide the true cost which is $12.99 per month forever, now that all software has become cloud based subscriptions.

Customer service is gone. Here is the latest. Only four hours a day for 4 days and it better be important (I was on hold for 3 hours trying to get through.) "For urgent matters or for canceling a request, call 1-800-659-3579, Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pacific time" Chat with a live agent has disappeared.

How are they staying in business. Ellon Musk needs to buy them out and fix this company. I am just sick as I have been using TechSoup for over 30 years now in church and mission administration.

Horrible customer service. You can't get in touch with anyone and have to wait forever and then if you do get a hold of someone after multiple attempts they are rude.

Most rude organization. Don't even respond to you. I will never recommend them to be used by anyone. I wonder why Google uses them to verify non-profit org status. I am not surprised by all the negative reviews they have accumulated.

Scam ! This is the 1st ever for a non-profit who is in good standing with the IRS. they asked for all kinds of verifying documents which are from he IRS YET THEY CANNOT FIND OUT ORGANIZATION. Then they require more and more PHI. Bad customer service , rather non-existent. POOR FOLLOWUP. I QUIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

TechSoup took the vast wealth of corporate nonprofit donations and put it behind lock & key, charging extremely high “administrative fees” to allow you access to stuff companies give away.

I have been using Tech Soup for 16 years+. For the first 10 years, they were great, but since the the company has become a total PIA to deal with. Almost to the point that it is simpler to buy software outright.

Terrible Customer Support - if you can actually get through or a response from someone, they are unfriendly and could care less about helping you. Typically, you get passed on to another help entity over and over.

I have used TechSoup.org in conjunction with the small 501c3 arts non-profit with whom I volunteer doing tech support for over 15 years. I have had no problems with them. They manage the access to the donations we wish (primarily Microsoft) efficiently. Occasionally there are rough spots, but those are with the software supplier, not with TechSoup. I believe TechSoup is a great source of free or discounted software for non-profits.

Agree with the other reviews. They literally make you waste time, which is precious as a growing nonprofit, and give you nothing in return. At the most your savings is a few dollars over what you would have been offered in the marketplace, but once you count the time you spend jumping through their hoops, you're already in the red. Occasionally, such as with Microsoft Office, they take a program that is offered for free from the company itself for nonprofits, and add user fees on top of it, so that you're now paying for something free. Perhaps the worst part is the companies they work work with probably think they are doing something good, but they are just being scammed by TechSoup and the nonprofits which are supposted to be the recipients of assitance which will help them grow and sustain, never see any benefits, which are sucked out of the equation by TechSoup.

TechSoup is the typical corporate "nonprofit" that couldn't care less about service to any entity other than itself. They spend more time and effort keeping their boots on the necks of small nonprofits instead of helping them. Contact me at care @ aunties dog care .org to join the class-action suit we're putting together with other community nonprofits.

TechSoup uses a play on words when they advertise you will save half on a particular project if you buy it through TechSoup. BUT, if you add up the facts you realize you are not saving half or more at all. For example, we purchased a Zoom account via TechSoup. They said we would save half. We paid $57 for the discount, then we paid $74.95 after we applied the discount. The savings was a whopping $17.95! Hardly worth all the hassle and time I put into it. Be careful when you purchase software from TechSoup - add up the numbers and consider your time!!

Truly terrible experience with their customer service regarding grants and refunds. I do not feel they ultimately have the non-profits best interest at heart. It would do them well to make sure they are being as transparent as possible. Which they are not currently

Is run like a for-profit entity and definitely not in the interest of the non-profit community. Had nothing but problems with this organisation when trying to register our non-profit yet when we contacted Microsoft direct they applied the non-profit status almost immediately advising us to ignore TechSoup.

Their social mission appears more for show due to the vast amount of profit it makes by reselling many already free offerings.

If you have any issues with this company in accessing the free offerings for your non-profit, contact the vendors direct as they will usually override the refusal from TechSoup who have too strict a policy in terms of those it chooses to want to help.
