Placed an order through Uber Eats. The time kept being pushed back. After waiting over an hour they cancelled the order. If they couldn't supply they should have cancelled the order, rather than ruining our evening and having numerous riders trying to collect from them.

Sent out a non vegan order after arriving 2hrs 20mins after ordering. If you are vegan do not risk it

Totally disgusting, came cold extremely wet covered in oil … will never use this take out again wasted over £40 for rubbish to arrive….. disgusting 🤢

Deliveroo asked me to do a mystery diner review for The Athenian. No idea what the food is like and I won't be bothering with them again. Said delivery 20-30 mins. Took them 45 minutes to even acknowledge the order and then they changed delivery to tomorrow afternoon?!?! So I had to cancel. According to all the delivery sites they are open so unsure what their problem is. They have no proper site or place to leave reviews. Don't waste your time.

Ordered via just eat, waited an hour and a half then they cancelled the order (just as the app said they were 5min from delivering).

It appears that it isn’t so easy to leave a review as they have no google profile and due to the order being cancelled it wasn’t possible to leave one on just eat. Their website doesn’t show reviews and given the only other review on here, I don’t have much hope with registering a complaint through the website.

I ordered food from them, via Deliveroo. They got the order wrong. I emailed them about this. No response. I emailed them again. Still no response. I tried calling them. No answer. I went to the location of the restaurant to complain in person, but there's nothing at the listed address.

I emailed Deliveroo. After a LOT of back-and-forth, they ultimately dismissed the complaint and said it was nothing to do with them. I asked for alternative contact details for the Athenian, but they wouldn't provide any.

Eventually, after weeks of complaining, I left a negative review on the website. Within a day of this, the Athenian left a comment on the complaint and offered me a partial refund of £2.

All of which means this is a restaurant that provides poor service, then makes it VERY hard to register a complaint, and then - if you are persistent enough - they will provide the flimsiest of token gestures as compensation.

I won't be claiming that partial refund, because I won't be shopping there again.
