I'm type 1 diabetic, on my recent visit I started to have a hypo. I managed to get to the floor and prop myself up. I started eating my haribo to get my glucose sugar levels back up. Upon seeing me on the floor with a pack of haribo a PT walked past and said "that's a good diet" I replied "it's not a diet, I'm type 1 diabetic having a hypo" to which they replied "Hahaha maybe I'm diabetic" so instead of being asked are you OK or is there anything you need while I was at the weakest I could possibly be I was joked about

Loyalty means nothing to these people. Complain by email you get automated replies. Not staffed. Cant get access to staff due to pod entry. Took money from my card to change membership via mobile app but didnt change it to off peak. Cancel your direct debit if you dont want to have money removed but at your peril. They penalise you for cancelling your DD because they want to take more money from you. They owe me £5. Plus the rest of £23.99 access for the duration of my membership until the next payment date which they have not honoured. At all. The Gym Group doesnt read these reviews or even reply to them because if they did they would change their attitude or step up improvements. So, if you want to earn millions set a gym up and gate-keep consumer complaint issues, hide behind websites and employ rude staff to insult.

The Altrincham Gym Group facility is well run, generally very clean, spacious and pretty much has most equipment you will need. The classes are very good and plenty of them. All staff are helpful, pleasant & knowledgeable offering various specialised areas of training. The manager is particularly proficient & professional making the whole gym going experience at Altrincham great.

Really good classes, strenuous and stimulating.
Always lots of equipment free.

The Gym Group in Altrincham has a lot of plus points, like being clean, good equipment, and friendly staff. However, issues like poor ventilation, scattered equipment, and late-night disturbances with no staff to step in do affect the overall experience. It’s decent, but there is room for improvement.

They have overcharged me by over £20, and despite several weeks of follow-up, their customer service team still fails to understand or resolve the issue.

I find the Gym clean and the staff very friendly. The classes are great and plenty of variety. Excellent value and I do recommend it to my friends as there is also a good social side.

Fantastic gym , great equipment friendly helpful staff. Classes are free ,varied and helpful to all age groups.

Just wanted to say that Ashton one of the trainers made it his job to welcome us to the gym and was friendly, answered all our questions and was very encouraging. I've joined the gym because of how he welcomed us.

The weekend classes this week with Ashton and Chloe were excellent! Great full body workout with a good stretch to finish off!

Really poor ventilation and air conditioning. I have to reduce my exercise because it becomes so hot. There are not enough bars for the cables and I have to search the gym for them. Equipment often left scattered around the gym.

Iv enjoyed my first month at the gym. Would have given 5 star but iv had issues with young lads late at night prating about with balls. Bouncing them to the roof and boxing them wedged in the machines. Found it highly annoying didn't seem anyone around to discuss the matter

I have been attending Altrincham gym for some time now and have had alot of support and guidance on using some of the equipment and good tips on where to start out from the great team at Altrincham. All the staff are amazing, including the GM Dominique. She is really friendly and approachable. I now feel more confident in using the gym equipment.

Always a good amount of machines and very happy with the atmosphere and friendly staff

Toilets and shower area are nearly always grubby. I’ve seen cleaners there but whatever they do isn’t effective.

I was at another Gym before coming here and it was the best thing I did. The gym it self is very clean and the machines and weights are excellent. The classes are fantastic and the instructors are all so helpful. I'm a 51 year old and I've never felt out of place. It's a fantastic Gym.
