Ordered 3 lots of 100 metres of Jubilee…

Ordered 3 lots of 100 metres of Jubilee turf (300 meteres in total but in separate orders. The last order was received late Friday afternoon. The landscapers on Saturday came to lay the turf, firstly the one pallet of turf was badly damaged, the turf in both pallets was very dry, crumbly and the grass was yellow, our landscapers said that the turf was clearly old and on its very last legs. The landscapers attempted to make contact on Saturday to discuss as they said it was not very good at all and they didn't want to lay it and then it not recover properly. Unfortunately the landscpaper's couldn't get through to the Harrowden so had no choice but to lay the turf because if it was left till Monday it would have been totally dead. I reported on Monday and a photo was requested which was sent and by Thursday still no reply. The 1st two orders were of great quality, its a real shame the 3rd one was so bad as we need another 200 metres to complete the job and im worried about ordering it from Harrowden as there has been no explanation as to why the turf was so bad this time.

Jubilee Turf Order

I recently received delivery of my jubilee turf order, it was simple to order online and I was able to choose a specific delivery date and time slot which really helped me.

I didn't receive an email confirmation but i called customer services and spoke with a helpful chap called Simon who reassured the delivery was still happening.

The delivery driver was polite and helpful, the turf look good enough rolled up (not that I know anything about turf) but it looks even better rolled out on the lawn. Thank you for your help Turfonline!

Bought the Jubilee Lawn Turf from TurfOnline.
Communication was perfect they answered the phone quickly and were very helpful. Delivery was spot on time. Quality of the turf was exactly what you would expect from a top turf supplier lush and green and of a very high quality.
No problems with the turf, it was all in lush green condition and I can see that it has started to take already.
I was a little concerned having seen some of the negative reviews.
I however have had nothing but a positive experience.

We bought quite a lot of turfoline’s traditional meadowmat last year through our landscaper. It’s brilliant! It looked pretty dreadful initially wilting and I was worried about the purchase, but with watering it picked up. I strimmed it last October and it’s amazing now packed with ox eye daisies which is what I wanted. I would share pictures but not sure how, it’s a complete triumph!

Was pleasantly surprised.

Was sceptical about ordering online but was very pleasantly surprised! Delivery was on the day stated and I was very happy with the turf. We ordered 85 square meters and laid most of it the same day.

Dodgy product, terrible service

Bought yellow rattle plugs which arrived late. I planted hem anyway, which was my mistake. All but 2 died. The customer service was at first completely unresponsive and then, when I pursued them, aggressive and unhelpful and they have now blocked me. Absolute shytsers and I wouldn’t give them a penny of business.

The only good thing was delivery within…

The only good thing was delivery within three days.
I ordered 4sq meters of Sedum Mat.
Besides the sedum, supposedly sent in 100 x 50 cm rolls, there was a large sheet of recycled cloth blanket.
There were no instructions about how to lay it, but using one's common sense prevailed.
The rolls actually came in 200 x 50cm, which makes them a bit tricky to handle.
However, of the 4 sq meters, two were 'nearly' fully useable, but the others were pretty patchy and starting to disintegrate. I managed to salvage roughly another square meter.
So 25% of the order went on the compost.
Now, had I read previous reviews before buying, I would never have used this company.
I didn't waste my time complaining.
I wouldn't recommend this outfit at all.

DEAD AND DYING GRASS

I bought a new lawn/ turf from them last April. Within days despite following their instructions it began to die. Tiny brown patches which expanded daily. Now less than a year later there is just a few dying patches left and they have tried to say I have incorrectly cared for it. I asked a gardener who thought it came with a fungus but was horrified how quickly it died. A terrible company who told me it was my fault and offered no advice -POOR POOR POOR QUALITY

Turf online, should stay offline!!

My issue isn’t with delivery or initial ordering, purely down to the after sale customer service or should I say, “lack of”!!!
When the turf arrived I did notice differences.
Some Thicker, slightly darker colour and different soil types on the back of the turf.

Anyway I already had trades at mine finishing the garden project so naturally they cracked on with it. Looked fantastic! They laid the turf so I had natural stripes.
As the weeks days went on with gallons of rain water and hosing when none arrived, the discovery of different colours developed!! Not talking about patches here and there, turf section!

Phoned Turf online went through it all, they told me to send an email including pictures etc.

Haven’t heard anything since.!

I’ll be phoning this week..

I am surprised by the negative reviews here. I cannot fault turfonline.co.uk at all - we ordered 40sqm of turf and it arrived when promised, the delivery driver was friendly and dropped off the pallet on our driveway. The turf is a very lush green and looks very healthy, laying it was easy. It has totally transformed our garden and I wish we'd done it sooner. Would recommend and we would purchase from them again.

Very disappointed, I ordered 50sqm of turf and paid on…

I ordered 50sqm of turf and paid on wednesday for delivery that friday , on the Thursday i recieved an email cancelling my order as they no longer deliver to my postcode.
I checked my online banking and the £308 had been deducted.
I contacted the company by email , stating false advertising as their web,when i put my postcode in , accepted my.payment. surely if they do not deliver to certain areas their web page would advise this.
I am getting no where, have asked twice now 1 week later for my refund , to which they are now saying will be another week due to public holidays, which they have no control over.
I WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!!
Their attitude towards customers is nothing short of rude.

Avoid - hidden extortionate delivery charges

I recently placed an order for top soil and turf to be delivered.

Unfortunately I didn't appreciate that the big grab bags of soil are only delivered kerb side on pallets. I had no way of moving 5 tons of soil from the road onto my property (it would have taken a couple of days to decant it with a wheelbarrow). I had stupidly expected the bags to be craned onto the hardstanding at the front of my property (like the sand and cement had been during a previous job).

Anyway, I had to cancel the order. I was expecting to still pay the delivery charge, but thought they would refund for the returned goods. However, on contacting them, they informed me the original quoted delivery charge of £90 wasn't actually a delivery charge but a surcharge for my post code (despite it appearing as a delivery charge on my invoice). They claimed that the delivery charge was part of the cost of the goods, and that I would now be charged £353 for the delivery, and another £353 for the cost of delivering the returned soil back to them. A total cost of £706! Which was way more than the soil cost in the first place. So to add insult to injury, I would not get a penny back, have no goods to show for it, and they wanted more money on top (the original cost was £595).

I was horrified that they could claim the costs of transportation had suddenly increased so dramatically.

I naturally made a complaint, but they would not budge, seemed to think their charges were perfectly reasonable and fair, and justified them by referring to a sub clause in the small print that says the costs of their palletised products contain an element of delivery costs (which are not specified).

If I had been made aware of this up front, I would never have done business with this company.

I just want to warn others, do not use them, there are other suppliers out there with reasonable and fair charges, who just charge an extra £30 to return goods, so you can see their charges are extortionate.

Needless to say I shall be fighting this, through a chargeback with my bank, and if that fails, through the small claims court. But it's a lot of hassle I really don't need. But if this warns others not to use this company, then some good can come out of it.

don't recommend at all

I ordered turf for 50m/sq and half of the turf is like blackish and looks so ugly.
We got delivery in the evening and as suggested, we layed immediately. Requested worker to work and lay it as soon as they can.
had to throw away now in bin half of the turg..
Waste of money and time......

i would not recommend.
very disappointment.

Appalling company

Appalling company, don't believe the good reviews you see.

Their 'vivid green' product has by their own admission damaged our lawn (they claim we overapplied, despite us applying less than their instructions required). They are now refusing to answer emails, have deleted the negative product review I left and of course have not invited me to review on reviews.co.uk.

Appalling.

Great turf!

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Jubilee turf arrived in the morning, laid that day and watered to their instructions. Four weeks later and it looks a-mazing! Recommended to me and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend on again.

Jubilee turf- Mixed emotions

So after reading a few reviews about damaged turf, I over ordered more than the 5% waste allowance.

The top rolls on both pallets were amazing and I was sure I was in for a winner. However the rolls underneath were not as great and some not even usable, just falling apart. I found plenty of stones and at least 5 pieces of glass which was strange although I wasn’t that bothered by this.

I did manage to complete the garden, literally just about. I won’t lie, the turf does look amazing, really green and thick. It’s a shame about the amount of damaged rolls though. It did seem like all the good rolls were on the top and bad underneath.

All in all I would order again, if your willing to over, over order then you’ll end up with a great lawn and a brown bin full of excess 👍🏻

Very good service

I can't understand all the negative reviews, I'm over the moon with the quality of turf, the delivery driver was very friendly and gave me good advice. I'll be sure to recommend them to others.

WARNING - Stay off of their turf

1. IGNORE the good reviews on .reviews.co.uk / review.io. People who end up cancelling due to many days of being lied to aren't invited to review.
2. Ignore 24 hour promise
3. Ignore any pay for 8am to 2pm delivery
4. Never trust anything their customer services says
5. Generally, ignore this supplier

Ordered turf and weed membrane hours before the 10am cut off for next day delivery. Paid for the pre 2pm delivery. The landscaper arrived waiting to start. Rang Turfonline at 1pm to check on delivery progress. They said they'd call back. After half an hour I rang again. They said still hadn't heard from the courier and would try again. After a while came back to say - 'It's not good news..it didn't arrive at the depot so wasn't loaded for delivery;...then promised eary delivery the next day. I queried the quality of the turf if would then have been sitting around for 2 days. They said - it'll be fine and we can sort out quality issues later.
I pointed out I couldn't afford to have a landscaper sitting around waiting and said if they were to deliver the next day, it had to be early. They promised it would be.
Next day - phoned customer services early to check delivery time. Despite the promise of early, they said between 12pm and 1pm.
LIES!!
Rang at 1.30pm, they said they have no idea where it was, or what time it would arrive....or if it would at all.
The turf may have never been due to be delivered or still be touring the country like some kind of grassy nomad. I don't know...but I can guess that Turfonline don't either. The only saving grace was that we paid through PayPal so at least getting a refund should be straight forward but it has cost us 2 days payment to the landscaper

I have had the worst Customer service ever from this company

I have had the worst experience ever. I ordered through Stewarts are they were local to me. The emails came from Harrowden Turf Ltd. I ordered 62sqm and they delivered 124. My receipt shows Area m2 62. At the other side it has a figure of 124. I assumed this meant 124 rolls to make up 62m2. They delivered 124m2 and said it was my fault. I had double ordered. I explained my receipt shows m2 only against the 62 so how could I have known? For 2 days I was told I would be called back. None recieved. As they would not collect the excess turf I gave it away. The stuff I laid already had heat burn. It is still not all away after 2 weeks watering. I am £238 out of pocket and the bank will not refund as goods were delivered. I explained that their system was not clear that I had booked double so they should take this into account. Again no response. I emailed and they said it showed 124 on emails to say it was being picked and delivered. Why would I check the figure when I already had the receipt showing 62M2! I did advise them if they would not sort it I would be letting people know. After giving a couple of weeks with no resolution it is now time. My solicitor has advised to go to the Small Claims court but I'm fed up of the stress.
