What an exceptional experience. Was so impressed following my first ever visit to Tyre King Swadlincote yesterday that I sent in an email in recognition of the premises, the staff and the overall service and approach to their customers. Brilliant. If you need tyres, MOT, service, whatever, this is the go to place for all your needs ( and no I don't work there lol). Thank you so much.

visited tyre king for fitment of 4 new…
visited tyre king for fitment of 4 new tyres to my SUV
whilst I was there I asked them to check the alignment
they said they could do full 4 wheel alignment for £79.95
having had the tyres fitted supposedly balanced and the full alignment done the car drove badly drifting to the curb with the steering wheel off centre
I immediately returned and they rechecked the alignment and said it was fixed
after driving away again the steering wheel still wasn't straight and there was a vibration through the steering wheel and whole car at anything above 40mph
I returned the car again and they said they had realigned it and checked the wheel balance and everything was spot on
having driven it again the steering wheel was still off centre and the vibration still present
Tyre king assured me everything was fine
today I have the vehicle checked by another tyre specialist and fully aligned using their hunter 4 wheel alignment system
they also dynamically balanced all 4 wheels as they were all incorrect the worst being nearly 200g out of balance
the car now drives perfectly exactly as it should after one visit to a tyre specialist who knows what they are doing
Tyre king used to be good but I would avoid now

AVOID AT ALL COST at Coalville…
Went in for aircon regas at Coalville and ended up an hour before they started doing it as they had to get the gas ready..even though I had a appointment booked so why don’t you prep it in time! Then the plump chap doing the job, started revving the car like a hooligan pretending he needed to do this so he could check the aircon..how stupid do you think customers are! No customer service and pure stupidity from the team..avoid at all cost! Useless and don’t know about cars..AVOID!!!

We’re sorry that your visit didn’t meet your expectations. During periods of hot weather, we often have a high volume of air conditioning appointments booked throughout the day. On occasion, our air conditioning machine may require additional preparation between vehicles, which can cause an unexpected delay despite appointments being scheduled. While we always aim to keep to time, we appreciate your patience when this happens.
Regarding your comments about your vehicle being revved, this is a normal part of the testing process on many vehicles. Running the engine at an increased RPM allows the air conditioning compressor to operate under normal driving conditions, enabling our technicians to accurately check system pressures, cooling performance and ensure the system is functioning correctly after the regas. This is standard practice and is carried out solely as part of the manufacturer’s recommended testing procedure.
We appreciate that everyone’s experience can differ, however we would like to reassure both yourself and future customers that our technicians are fully trained and always carry out work in line with the correct procedures. We take pride in the standard of service we provide and will always continue to do so.

Great service
I turned up on a whim to have some work done, they got me in no booking required. They done all the work I asked of them and reasonable priced, car is driving alot better now. Staff are fantastic.
They only down side they say they open at 8am (which they do) but the fitters don't start till 08.30.

We’re sorry for any confusion regarding our opening times. Our MOT appointments do start from 8:00am, however 8:30am is when some of our other workshop staff begin their shifts, which may have caused the misunderstanding. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we’ve already amended our information to make this clearer for future customers.
