I have been shopping from online and instore at stanmore and consistently received great service and super fast delivery. The instore team take initiative to help. Great team and company.

All round great experience

I took my son into the Howard Bros branch in Mill Hill to get his uniform for Mill Hill County school. We were greeted at the door by a lovely sales assistant who went through the uniform list and kitted my son out with everything he needed. The young lady serving us was more than happy to allow him to try a few sizes of items to make sure he was happy and had space to grow. We managed to grab some stationery while in the store which saved us a trip to another shop. I was dreading going before we went but now we have been and recieved the experience we did, we would happily go again when the time comes.

Do not order online!

I placed an order on their website for a whole set of senior girls uniform for my daughter. The postage charge was £5.50. Two weeks later and it still has not been delivered. It was only posted out around 11 days after the order and then there was issues with parcelforce who did not deliver despite my being home and waiting for two days. There is no way to contact parcelforce - you just reach an automated system. I contacted uniform4kids who despite being apologetic just said they couldn’t do anything as they had no way of contacting parcelforce and wouldn’t refund me either- so I could just drive in and buy the uniform -as the parcel was ‘out’. They said I could come in and buy it all again and work out a refund after the parcel had been delivered and returned! I think it’s very very poor. I am most upset as my daughter starts school in a few days and waiting for what will be nearly 3 weeks for a parcel to be delivered is unacceptable.

You want to get insulted? Walk right in!!

Have you ever had to walk into a shop with proof of your word against the shop owner's? Proof to show that you are not a liar or a cheat? Well, walk right into the Temple Fortune branch of Uniform4Kids for the most horrendous customer experience of your life, like I did. I went in yesterday to exchange new school blouses which didn't fit properly. This is inspite of having taken a proper appointment and trying out their white sizing shirts earlier. My daughter had to wear her old, faded and stained blouse on the first day to school ultimately (you'll know soon why this detail is important here). The same evening I walked in (after an hour's wait in queue outside) to return the same. That is when the trauma started. At the billing counter, which was tended to by the owner himself, I was accused point blank of having used the shirt for a day at school and then trying to push off a used item of clothing back to the shop! How many times have you had a shop owner sniff at the item you brought in for exchange and told you that it smells of being used?!?? I was speechless. I have never been so humiliated, insulted and hurt in my life. Who treats a customer like this really? The man refused to budge from his standing and absolutely wouldn't take the item back. What choice did I have? I had to bring it back. Thankfully it was the first day at school and we had taken some pictures where my daughter can be seen wearing her old blouse with a prominent ink stain on it. I went back next morning, today, that is, again ( I obviously didn't want to risk going again in the evening and being accused of wearing the blouse again to school, we don't take photos everyday) and stood in the hour long queue because I didn't want to see anyone else but the owner. I showed him the picture and he quietly processed the refund amount. I couldn't stop myself from asking if he really wasn't apologetic about treating me so badly, making a customer feel like she was nothing and she had no choice than to take the nonsense that was dished out to her. There was zero remorse, he just wanted me gone. Here is a guy who has zero humility, someone who places his business and himself way over the very customers who make his business a success. It's a wonder how he runs a successful business with a front-end servicing attitude like that. But then, why should he bother really? He knows he will never go out of business even with his sky high prices and sub-standard quality of clothes ( I ordered the blouses directly off the Trutex website which are way lower than the price at the shop). It's a shame the schools make us go back to just one supplier without any other choice. I hope I never have to step inside this awful shop again if I can help it. I'm going to hoard at the next seconds sale that comes up at school.

Also, oh yes - the bill states something about returns but what it doesn't mention is that you should bring it back intact, folded just the way you bought it with the cardboard and hooks and pins intact. Again, straight from the owner's mouth. Otherwise, it's not resellable, you see. You've been warned!

Excellent service

Excellent service - used online ordering and delivery to get uniforms for daughter (SHHS) and son (UCS) - then return and exchange items that didn’t quite fit. Well worth shipping fee - items ordered 2pm arrived 7am next day. Very friendly and helpful in shop at a super busy time - thank you!

Very bad

assistant keep bring uniform for wrong school. manager very rude. when we reach till, everything have to be changes. bad experence @temple branch

A real horrible experience

A real nasty shop. I went to the shop in Stanmore to buy clothes for my son. They were very rude and not attentive at all. One of the items didn't fit, and when I took it back, they made me feel like a criminal that it has been worn, and refused to refund me! I also had a hole in another item that had been worn just 2 times at school and my son has not had any accidents. I showed it to them and they refused to refund me. The service in there is really bad and they are so rude. They know they have the monopoly and unfortunately, we have no choice but to buy from them. Really horrible staff and someone I wouldnt use unless I had to. Not recommended.
