I decided to switch to unloan as my previous rate was much higher and my bank wouldn't come close, despite me having a much better LVR than when I bought my first house in 2024.

The process was super easy. A few emails to clarify things after applying that I missed in my application and I got approval the same day. My loan balance was transfered a few days after that, with settlement a few weeks after later.

With the monthly savings I'm already ahead of my bank's discharge fee.

Now I know how easy the process is, I regret not doing it sooner.

It was convenient having everything in the one app previously with an offset account, but transferring funds in and out of unloan is instant, so I can just pay more than the minimum and know that I can redraw if I have to.

I switched to Unloan after my existing lender refused to match Unloan's interest rate. The online process scared me a bit (I'm over 60) but I got through it, with my Unloan reps guidance. The communication was really good and quick. I'm very happy so far.

Quick response, great rates and good communication. The application process was easy and smooth. Their platform is easy to navigate. I find them better than the big banks.

I was super impressed with the speed of the process (approved in 1 day!) and the excellent customer service that I have received. I have had direct contact with customer service via text, which has been amazing - I receive responses to my queries in less than 30 mins - very impressive!

This has been the poorest customer experience we have encountered from any organisation to date. Throughout the process, we were repeatedly asked the same questions multiple times, transferred between different home loan specialists, and subjected to a risk assessment that appears illogical.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL - AVOID IF YOU ARE SELF EMPLOYEDThis was the worst experience of my life. Cookie cutter on-line business with absolutely no understanding or reason.

APPLICATION DENIED OVER A SMALL CLERICAL ISSUE! ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS ON-LINE DISASTER - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Refused to escalate to Senior staff.

Advised at time of borrowing that I would require access to more of my equity in future, advised it wasn't an issue. Went to increase loan very a month after refinancing with them and they don't do it. After many communications was advised only way to get access to any of my $800k in equity was to refinance elsewhere. Firstly that's going to cost me a lot in fees and secondly virtually no lenders will refinance if within first three months with current provider even though I've had a mortgage for 17 years. So they are happy to refinance other lenders loans but not their own. Brokers have advised me they have seen this a bit and don't advise going with unloan if you want access to your equity in your house.
