We've been motorhome owners for over 10 years and a quality alarm system is a must-have for these expensive vehicles. We've always used VanBitz/Wattguardz systems and we have been very happy with both the security and the fitting. It is worth the journey to have this peace of mind, knowing that you have the best system out there and, likewise, excellent support and advice from Ash, Nick and the team. Highly recommended.

We met these guys at the NEC Motorhome show in October and had a really good conversation about a lithium battery conversion for our campervan, they really impressed us with their depth of knowledge and total lack of hard sell. Fast forward to November and they have re-kitted our camper and the job is so tidy you would never know anything had changed. The specification of equipment is top drawer, expensive, but boy does it work well. I had a little wobble worrying about the warranty as their website says very little about this but an email was quickly replied to which has completely reassured me that should I ever have any issues these guys will have my back.

Where do we start?
Drove 700 miles to get an alarm system installed in our new motorhome by these guys as their reputation is so great. We are members of lots of motorhome groups and forums and without question, every single group recommends wattguardz (formerly vanbitz) as the premier place to go for a top quality, professionally fitted alarm system.
All we can say is…..it was worth the drive! Wattguardz are nothing short of excellent. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the friendly and comprehensive handover, they lead the way in delivering an industry leading alarm that is actually straightforward and simple to use.
Ash, Nick and the guys are so knowledgeable, informal and chatty with no hard sell, just a job well done, exactly as described, on time and at a reasonable price. What more can you ask for?

The name may have changed but the staff and service remains exceptional.
No pressure sales, work completed to a high standard, handover explained at whatever level you require, idiots guide or professional.
On this occasion I had a few age related issues on my alarm system, they tried to resolve these on the phone to save the journey to them but when this failed I was booked in very quickly and on the day of the service every step of the process was outlined to me and before I left everything was tested, all in all took just over an hour.

I had a growler system, comprising an alarm, immobiliser and tracker, installed by Vanbitz (which has now morphed into Wattguardz) three years ago. Probably the best security system I could have invested in and it has functioned perfectly. Sadly the powers that be have decided to turn off the 2G system in Switzerland and also in France later this year. The UK will follow in a year or two. Since the tracker worked on 2G I spoke to Wattguardz and they recommended an upgrade to 4g which the agreed to do at cost price as they had installed the previous system. Really impressed with their new workshop and the whole experience was welcoming and professional with the new tracker installed by Nick while I waited. Can’t recommend them highly enough. If you have a Motorhome and need a security system or solar power, look no further.

Had the current solar panel regulator changed to a Victron 75/15 controller, and an additional 2 solar panels with controllers fitted. To help give me additional charging when off grid. Very helpfull and professional team, with a clean and tidy workshop area, and also a pleasent waiting area with tea and coffee making facilites. I very rarely write online reviews, but my experience this week deserves one...It was almost 3 years ago that Vanbitz installed their market-leading Growler alarm system in my motorhome....a very neat job, installed by people who clearly knew what they were doing, and I have been very happy with it. However, whilst on a short break to Cheddar this week a fault developed and I couldn't arm the alarm. Knowing that the key people behind Vanbitz had recently set up a new business called Wattguardz, I phoned them. Ash and his team were amazing: They were able to retrieve records of the original installation, talked me through various checks over the phone and when these didn't solve the problem, they suggested that as I was only about 25 miles away, that I drove to their new workshop in Taunton, which I did. Within 30 minutes they ran full diagnostics on the system, identified the fault and fixed the problem. All done with a smile, and they wouldn't even accept payment for their efforts. Now, that's what I call fantastic service! The team at Wattguardz deserve to be very successful in their new venture and I have no hesitation in recommending them to all other motorhome owners as they really know their stuff when it comes to everything to do with motorhomes. Thank you guys for helping me out.
