For specialised items like pour-over kettles the reviews missed the point. Lacks reviews on newly released items.
Very hard to cancel the subscription. You cannot cancel without contacting support, the support is slow and asks for sensitive information like your first and last name, email, and your address. (Why in hell did they ask for my address when I signed up anyway.)

I recently suggested to Which? that their Best Buy recommendation of the Halo Capsule vacuum cleaner needs revising due to the fact Trustpilot's 1* reviews are actually at 43%, while the company's 5* reviews are 1% point behind at 42%.
I stated that most of the 1* reviews were about the same complaints: very poor customer service; poorly manufactured parts - brush heads, motors etc.; unable to claim replacement parts under the 2-year guarantee (that Which? praised) and the battery life. A lot of these complaints also stated that the purchases were made because of Which?'s Best Buy recommendation.
The reply I received from Which?'s Customer Service department was ridiculous in the extreme and didn't address my concerns at all.
Their main part of the reply was, 'None of our reviews are based on customer service, they are a review of the product itself.'
My comment: well, if the product seems to be unfit for purpose, no matter how good or bad the company’s product seems to be, it needs reviewing again. No matter how good it appears to be when new, what is the back-up service like?
The second part of the reply was: 'We would also advise against basing a purchase on reviews from sites like Trustpilot, as on the whole these tend toward the negative.'
My comment: I didn't base my purchase on Trustpilot's review: I based my purchase on Which?'s review.
The final part of the reply was: ‘If you have a problem with a purchased item that's in warranty, we have a free advice guide on this available through our website, and our Legal Advice service is a paid subscription that can help with any consumer rights queries:’
My comment: Er, no thanks. The Citizen’s Advice Bureau offer a completely free Legal Advice service. Don’t bother trying to sell me something else.
However, I'm not surprised about Which?'s dismissive attitude to Trustpilot, given that this once trusted company, noted for its impartiality, has got a 1* review of 68% - 368 of the reviews - against a 5* 10% - 56 reviews.
The Customer Service Department must obviously base their reasoning on the fact that because more people complain than praise, there's therefore nothing to worry about.
They have obviously never heard of the maxim that with good service one person will tell one other person. With bad service one person will tell ten other people. However, always ensure that you counteract that imbalance by striving to make amends if you want your brand to be trusted.
Just a final thought, Which?: remember Gerald Ratner's big blunder? He thought that his High Street jewellery business was so good he could boast about being 'crap.'
Goodbye, Which? from one very disgruntled subscriber.

Try cancelling their service. They make it as difficult as possible with a live chat service/chatbot that takes forever. Just the sort of behaviour that they would be quick to criticise in others.

Which should look at trustpilot reviews on emma mattress . I've had 2 faulty mattresses and they have my money £699 and my faulty mattress and won't give me my refund. So many faulty mattresses it can't be good.

If Which would review themselves honestly, I think even they would see they are pretty rubbish. Not only is the content of their websites fairly useless, their service is completely s**t. I subscribed to find out the best broadband in my area, on realising none of the information was appropriate for my needs I asked to cancel, they argued I gave up getting my money back. I didn't use it for a whole year despite having paid for it. Cancelled the renewal subscription, Which still did not register the cancellation so I cancelled it from my bank. Then they sent me a letter trying to appeal to me. Save your money, by not buying this subscription.

Used which again, once again came up trumps, absolutely brilliant information, their templates are brilliant, was compensated immediately by the company who was responsible for selling me the goods.

Love the product recommendations, very thorough, but canceling your membership is very complex, you need to physically call them or wait for a chatbot, and in both cases you need to fully authenticate who you are even if you were logged in online.

You give products a high review when you have obviously not investigated thoroughly. Examples are Dacia given best buy status when their safety crash record was deplorable.
You also promote NFU for car insurance when they practice ageism denying insurance to anyone over 80 without checking driving record.

Are which losing their independence and nuetrality? They seem to be becoming more and more like any other corporate business - making money by pushing members - tho we now seem to be customers! to buy more and more products / services from them. Just had an e-mail from them offering me a £100 Amazon voucher if I switch energy companies through them!!!!! They won't be giving Amazon a bad review!! When I look for equipment best buys there are many manufacturers who never get tested. How are they choosing who to include / leave out? Dyson always got outstanding reviews. Dyson products I bought on Which's recommendation were extremely expensive and rubbish. A hand held vacuum NEVER worked properly? I am heartbroken that which is now like any other corporate business - whose main objective is to make as much money out of you - the customer - as they possibly can. All independence from the businesses they review seems to be fast disappearing, if not already gone :-(

Horrified that Which? consumer brand allows its name to be used to promote/recommend Octopus Energy; imo you are damaging your reputation by having your brand connected to a company which provides such poor service when customers have issues. My experience of Octopus for the past 2+ years has been truly appalling and issues include: Octopus consistently fail to respond to my queries/emails asking to have meter readings/bills corrected after their own meter reader misread the meter; Octopus have consistently failed to respond to emails asking for even a partial refund of £2300+ build-up of credit in my account. I escalated my complaints to a formal level but after weeks passed, Octopus are now in breach of their 8-week customer complaint response time. I have no alternative other than to escalate further to ofgem, Energy Ombudsman Service who, it seems, are themselves
under pressure dealing with many complaints about poor service from energy companies.

Gives 5 star reviews to crap businesses.
How can Octopus energy be given 5 stars when the customer service is dreadful and they prey on there customers and act more like old school car salesmen than renown energy provider. You should do your due diligence on the companies you recommend, I had to write 2 complaints in the last month about octopus energy, how the hell do they get a five star rating from you guys.
See my review of octopus below and consider reviewing your rating of them.
“Disgusting customer service, cannot answer a simple query regarding my sisters tariff, have not made it clear on whether or not switching to pay monthly will cost her more, have asked 3 times directly it will cost more and my disabled adult sister who is classified as vulnerable has basically been advised to look online and work it out herself. They have ignored the request to switch it back if she is indeed paying more so obliviously this company cares more about its sale revenue that advising the right information. Clearly goes against the equality act of 2010 and preys on there’s customers vulnerability. I would not recommend this company to anyone caring or managing an elderly, vulnerable or disabled family member affairs. They just make your job harder unnecessarily”

I must write in appreciation of the staff/management of Which?
I sent them a note explaining that my father, a subsriber to Which? had recently passed away and asking for the return of the unused subscription. I included a few words of appreciation for the 50 years or so of information they had provided that my father had so valued. A couple of days later, as well as a promise to return the money directly, I received a lovely plant and a little note sympathising with my loss and thanking me for my comments! Top marks to Which? for their concern and thoughtfulness!

Terrible customer service. My husband made a simple mistake when subscribing, putting in his wrong email address. He contacted them the next day when customer services were available, but they still have not been able to resolve this issue. He added me (his wife) to the account with my email address but neither of us have received emails to reset this, after being told we would. However, they do have our correct email addresses as we’ve both got emails asking for feedback! 2 hours wasted with each of us on web chats and on the telephone trying to resolve this. Unable to login to use this so an absolute waste of time and money. We will cancel this as useless

"Which" are still my go to guide when looking for traders/ products I can trust. Much more impartial and fair than Trustpilot whom in my experience I find very biased in favour of their paying subscribers and reluctant to post factual reviews by us the consumers if they are critical.

Resposta da Which?
Ironic that the long-standing brand of consumer champions has degenerated into a scam.
This morning my wife set up a monthly digital subscription advertised at £8.99 per month, cancellation any time, etc etc. Went through the direct debit authorisation process, to be eventually presented with a screen saying the subscription was yearly and that the first payment of £55.30 would be taken ‘around’ today’s date.
It got worse: to try to put things right she engaged in a web chat only to be told that her details (name, address, postcode) were nowhere to be found on Which’s system. This was despite her just having received an email from Which gleefully informing her that a Direct Debit had been successfully set up. She was asked for her membership number as an alternative means of ID – but of course the email didn’t contain this information.
She was then told to contact the phone helpline. Which she did, to be told exactly the same things, plus the additional information that new subscriptions will appear ‘immediately’ on Which’s system. Reassuring, but clearly untrue.
So she's left with Which about to take £55.30 of our money, and no ability to cancel (due to no record of her on their system). And there’s nothing to be done about it, apparently. Thanks Which.

OH MY GOD, these one star reviews, I don’t understand why people are saying this. I would heartily recommend Which online subscription. I get access to everything I need, I have paid for one year subscription and will renew again. I bought my Solar PV system based on Which recommended provider. I am so pleased with them.
I did have a full subscription with magazine delivery in the past, but to be fair, online subscription is more than enough.
I would definitely recommend Which, who I think are unbiased in their reviews .

Which logo is in actual fact linked to oppression.
The IDF probably are endorsed by the which logo.
Which is a deceptive brand so not to be trusted. In my experience of them.
They coverup for ,and pimp really unethical business ERS, This business is dishonest and does deceive customers.
The five star reviews are suspect and if you write the truth they refuse to publish it.
ERS and others are bankrolling Which to pimp them.
I MISTRUST WHICH FROM THIS ACT ALONE,,AND WILL NO LONGER ASSOCIATE IT WITH ANYTHING POSITIVE.
DO NOT TRUST THIS BRAND LOGO.
😡😡
