Excellent choice of sustainable wild meats
Everything about my first order with this company and its wild meats was perfect. The website is very easy to use and highly informative about each product. The variety of sustainable wild meats is impressive and it is all very tempting - I am definitely be back for some wild duck, goat and rabbit - meats I cannot get in any local butchers or farm shops.
The parcel arrived on the day requested and was well packaged and still cold from the ice packs. The booklet enclosed with the order is excellent in giving detailed information on the meats and how to cook them.
We cooked the venison today and it was soft and very tender with no sinew or fat. It far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended company. Thank you.

We’ve been customers for many years now, and have always liked the range and quality of products. The Sutton Hoo chicken is absolutely delicious, the best there is in this country.

Great place to buy your meat for buschcrft and survival camps
We ordered squirrels on fur and pigeons on feather for our scout survival camps. Great service and scouts enjoyed learning how to prep them, cook them.

Great customer service
I made an error on the postcode I put for delivery and the company sorted my redelivery no extra cost and no hassle. The meat I've had - venison and goat - has always been great quality!

Great food at a fair price
Great website, easy to order and responsive customer service. Delivery was on time on the day specified.
We tried the venison and the game casserole so far and the meat is tender and delicious.
The only downside was that the DHL driver didn’t deliver to our door. We live in a gated mews and the driver didn’t press the bell to be let in and just left the package outside the gates on the roadside. That won’t stop me from ordering again but is something to keep in mind.

Thawed out meat on a hot day
DHL delivered the four venison fillets over 24 hours after collecting it and on one of the hottest days of the year. So all coolants in the package had defrosted and the meat was warmish.They had clearly made no attempt to keep it refrigerated. Not sure whether itis safe to eat or OK to freeze. I tried to contact the Wild Meat Company for advice, but without success.

Thank you for getting in touch. An email was sent to you yesterday afternoon, but in hindsight, a follow-up phone call would have been more helpful—we’re sorry we didn’t reach you directly.
As explained in the email, your venison loin fillets were sent as chilled, not frozen, so they had not defrosted in transit. Our packaging is specifically designed to keep products chilled for up to 48 hours, and in this case, the delivery was made within that timeframe.
Based on this, the fillets should be absolutely fine to eat or to freeze.
If you have any further concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch—we’re here to help.
