WARNING, Please read before purchasing from Wise Autos, Two vehicles, multiple broken promises, unregistered warranties, police and regulatory investigations opened.

I purchased two vehicles from Wise Autos in April and May 2026, a Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 for £14,050 and a Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged for £13,300. I am sharing my experience factually in the public interest. Every statement below is supported by documentary evidence.

MERCEDES-BENZ CLS 350:

Both the deposit receipt and sales invoice explicitly promised a NEW MOT. The MOT certificate supplied was six weeks old at point of deposit. The MOT was issued by a business operating from the same address as the service garage connected to Wise Autos, not disclosed at point of sale. The certificate recorded no advisories despite an independent Mercedes-Benz specialist subsequently finding multiple significant defects including critically worn brake pads front and rear, failed springs, failed struts, failed control arms and a failed automatic transmission.

The sales invoice promised a FRESH OIL SERVICE. The vehicle displayed a service overdue warning exceeded by 130 days the day after purchase. Wise Autos acknowledged in writing the service was not completed to the expected standard.

The sales invoice specified a 12 Month Commercial Autoprotect Warranty. What was eventually delivered, only after repeated chasing, was a different warranty product from a different provider, arranged without my knowledge through a connected business which was not disclosed at point of sale. The wrong product was delivered without my consent or knowledge.

RANGE ROVER SPORT:

The sales invoice promised a NEW MOT and FRESH OIL SERVICE. The new MOT was not delivered as promised. A Service Required warning appeared immediately after purchase.

A 12 Month Commercial Autoprotect Warranty costing £450 was explicitly itemised on the signed sales invoice. I have written confirmation from Commercial Autoprotect that they have no agreement in place with Wise Autos Ltd. I also have written confirmation from Handler Protect that no policy exists for this vehicle and no Wise Autos dealership account exists with them. The £450 paid for this warranty is completely unaccounted for.

THE DEALER NETWORK:

Wise Autos operate through a network of connected businesses confirmed in their own correspondence and on their own website. The MOT station, service garage and warranty administrator are all connected to the same Rainham address, none of which was disclosed at point of sale.

REGULATORY AND LEGAL ACTION TAKEN:

As a result of the above I have taken the following formal action:
- Formal legal proceedings commenced against Wise Autos Ltd
- Action Fraud, referred to police
- Financial Conduct Authority, confirmed Wise Auto Ltd are NOT on the Financial Services Register and therefore not authorised to sell warranty products
- Citizens Advice, Trading Standards referral
- DVSA regarding MOT concerns
- Companies House and Insolvency Service

MY ADVICE TO PROSPECTIVE BUYERS:

Before purchasing any vehicle from Wise Autos I would strongly recommend:
- Obtaining a fully independent inspection from a marque specialist
- Verifying any warranty arrangements directly with the warranty provider before paying
- Checking the MOT certificate date and independence of the testing station
- Requesting full disclosure of any connected businesses

I purchased two vehicles totalling £27,350 from this dealer in good faith. What followed has resulted in legal proceedings and investigations by multiple regulatory bodies including the police.

All statements are factual and supported by documentary evidence.
