We've tried a much larger, fancier woodwind shop in Waterloo a couple of times (sax players will know the one), finding the staff rude and patronising. Woodwind London's a breath of fresh air. Much smaller, much less fancy. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who treated us all with kindness and respect. A far better experience for my sensitive children, who wished to try the tenor before upgrading from the alto and had a horrid experience in the first shop. Delighted to have found Woodwind London and very grateful to the staff. Most definitely our go-to for repairs and rentals.

First & most importantly, Ed Jackman knows his business (in this instance flute repair) thoroughly.
For the on-the-spot work done, the price was entirely reasonable & effective.
Beyond that, he & colleague Slavena were friendly & knowledgeable interlocutors whilst we awaited the repair. All in all, an excellent service & a valuable resource for musicians locally & generally.
For a six-star review, a filter coffee machine in the lobby & some easy chairs would round things off nicely for next time 🙂
