tried to cancel subscription. and order as on hospital meds. on website says email to cancel tried over 7 emails to cancel subscription and order. no reply at all. messaged barclays fraud who are dealing with it. they good at billing but no customer services. total shambles

Ich drehe mich seit über 1 Jahr im Kreis mit den Problemen von dem WebDesigner von Xara. Ich kann mittlerweile ziemlich gut dokumentieren, dass bekannte Probleme entweder nicht angegangen werden, oder wegen fehlender Kompetenz nicht gelöst werden können.
Zu den Fakten: Google hat den Interaction to Next Paint (INP) als Ranking-Faktor offiziell am 12. März 2024 eingeführt und schon 6 Monate zuvor bekannt gegeben. Anbieter wie Wordpress und Co. haben dieses Problem mit einem Plugin lösen können. Man muß verstehen, das wenn man in der Homepage Branche überleben will, die Optimierung für den INP überlebenswichtig ist. Ist der INP zu langsam, denn schlägt der Google Page Speed fehl und man verliert Ranking. Meine Projekte waren ALLE auf der ersten Seite bei Google. Erst nach dem 12. März 2024 gingen meine Projekte plötzlich ohne ersichtlichen Grund in den Keller, weil der Pagespeed, insbesondere der INP zu lange dauert. Dabei handelt es sich um Scripte wie roe.js die NICHT zurück gesetzt werden können. Ich hatte sogar eine Firma extra für Pagespeed beauftragen wollen. Aber die haben abgelehnt, weil sie zu viele negative Erfahrungen mit den uploads von Xara gemacht haben. Wer also von seiner Website finanziell abhängig ist, für den ist der Web Designer von Xara auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen. Seit Wochen nun werde ich mit fingierten Aktionen die angeblich den INP verbessern sollen, hingehalten. Zu doof aber auch, das ich mit dem Div Tool von Google Chrom umgehen kann und ganz klar zeigen kann, das angebliche Verbesserungen, in Wahrheit keine Verbesserungen sind. Auch gibt es noch weitere Probleme mit dieser Software. So können von manchen Templates nicht der viewport gelesen werden, obwohl der viewport eigentlich im Quellcode zu sehen ist. Dies allein führt zu einigen Folgefehlern, wie angeblich zu kleine Schrift usw. Dieses Problem benannte ich vor 1,5 Jahren und damals sagte man mir, das es kurznah über ein neues update behoben sein würde. Vor wenigen Wochen benannte ich das Problem erneut und es heißt: "Es gibt momentan noch keine Lösung dafür." Was soll man da noch sagen?

Nach kurzer Zeit war eine einfache Arbeit mit dem Webdesigner möglich. Ein umfangreiches Programm, das natürlich etwas Einarbeitung benötigt, aber perfekt funktioniert. Das beste jedoch ist der Service. Meine Erfahrungen damit sind absolut Spitze. Natürlich darf man nicht denken, dass man ein solches Programm geschenkt bekommt, aber es ist auf jeden Fall seinen Preis wert.

I’ve been using Xara software for years when it was on disc.
Last year I signed up for the “subscription” and barely used it.
All of a sudden I got an email saying subscription was renewed with no previous email giving me a warning it was renewing so I could make the choice to cancel it.
So I cancelled it and contacted them asking for a refund. They said no!
I feel like I’ve been ripped off!
The price even was way up from the previous year!!!
Not impressed with such poor customer service!

Die Software ist sehr gut. Man braucht allerdings, so wie ich, als Anfänger einige Zeit zum Erlernen des Programms. Aber jetzt funktioniert alles bestens. Auch der Support ist OK.

ich bin von der software sehr enttäuscht, gerade was Websitenerstellung betrifft. Da war das Programm NOF15 im Jahre 2015 (leider nach 2016 nicht mehr weiter entwickelt) vor 9 jahren schon leistungsfähiger als das derzeitige Xaradesigner, Ich habe von meinem gesetzlich zustehenden Widerrufsrecht Gebrauch gemacht

Hatte Probleme bei Neuinstallierung und damit Programmaktivierung von Xara Photo and Graphic Designer +. Wurde sehr schnell gelöst. Prima. So stell ich mir Kundendienst vor.

I'm using Xara from version 1.2, from 1998, which was then running on an AMD K6 II computer. Now I use this fast and productive software daily. In 2001 I founded a graphics and digital design club for children, who exclusively used this software due to its simple and intuitive interface. I hope that Xara will keep the good price / quality ratio in the future.

Ich hatte ein Problem mit der Aktivierung nach Neuinstallation meines Webdesigners. Sehr schnelle Reaktion vom Support und trotz Wochenende und Feiertag rasche und unkomplizierte Beseitigung des Problems.

I have been using Xara Pro Design for a few years now. The software is fantastic, it has allowed me to build websites, upload them, and change them whenever necessary.
For me not only does Xara give me the capability of building the websites, it's incredible tools and layout functions are easier, (than the better known word processing software) faster and allow me to prepare a complex newsletter without clashes of image over text. No need for wrap around functions, you can actually just literally drop an image in and move things around.
And when my lack of knowledge on how things work breaks down (because invariably it is always something I did) the customer support is via live chat and solutions are found quickly. Even when it was an issue with a browser there was no hesitation in assisting. 10/10 easily the most versatile, unique and inventive software I've ever used.
HIGHLY recommend.

My recent experience with Xara tech support has been nothing but excellent. The response was within a couple of hours and in some cases within minutes. The support person proactively solved my problem as soon as the problem was defined. The problem was with my account, not the software itself, which is a workhorse. I've never had any problem with the software.

I've been a loyal Xara customer starting when the need to provide responsive website designs sent me looking for tools to handle the job. Starting with Web Designer, and graduating to Designer Pro X, The well-rounded package, providing powerful tools for web design, image editing and document design has served my needs well for years. Xara has always provided me with excellent support. My most recent experience involved questions regarding streaming video to the pasteboard layer.
