I was very impressed with the refurbishment of my father's Yard-o-Led pencil. It was pencil he used all his life on a daily basis. It now has a new lease of life being used for a grandchild's Masters degree.
The pencil needed to be cleaned with some parts replaced. The rolled gold was revitalised, but still retained signs of its age, an effect I was very happy with.
The pencil came fully loaded with leads, the overall effect is excellent, showing its age but retaining 'Dad's' pencil.

I’m a pencil person and the pencil necklace was a huge hit for my milestone birthday. My husband scored big points for the wonderful gift, and you folks definitely have a new fan. Didn’t like the 20% tariff surcharge from DHL though.

The Yard-O-Led pen is exceptionally well made, with a weight and balance that immediately convey craftsmanship. The silver finish is elegant without being ostentatious, and the writing experience is smooth and precise, making it a pleasure to use for extended periods.

The online purchasing process was straightforward and efficient, and delivery was impressively quick. From ordering to unboxing, the experience reflected the same attention to quality that the pen itself represents.

Incredible in store service. I was offered a drink and had a great time learning about this fantastic brand and their history. Was sorely tempted by ‘The Lucky’! I would encourage anyone to drop in and explore.

If one is looking for specifics in a fountain pen that prioritises and considers rustic aesthetics, this may fit the description in regards to craftsmanship, natural quality materials and imperfections (imperfections imply to "vintage" like finishing with production and machining qualities). The chasing finishing of Victorian-style is detailed and elaborate but not excessive featuring several glossy brass sections that accentuate the rest of the sterling silver pen. The white gold 18K #5 nib size is "soft" allowing a decent and comfortable writing experience but not a writing nib that you want to pick up each time 😊. Soft does not imply a "flex" nib. Pen enthusiasts who have experienced with Japanese Pilot Soft Fine Medium nibs, they have similar feel in the softness. Tuned towards a wet nib.

An unfortunate incident was receiving a NEW pen with several blemishes visible with the naked eyes and more with a loupe. Several emails exchanged to determine material quality and production information whether to exchange or refund. Having concluded that the material exhibited prolonged metal oxidation and/or chemical reactions, with severe tarnishing instead of the "common/typical" patina observed during early stages of natural metal aging. This is rather unacceptable based on a brand that prides itself on its qualities with a price range that one does not buy several as door gifts. A decision was made to try and remove them and it paid off. All removed and in the process, the conclusion was proven due to prolonged aging.

The reasons why the fountain pen and overall buying experience deserve 4 ⭐️s was due to the fact of their efficiency in shipping out and professional correspondence with their customer service otherwise it would have been a lower rating. Bear in mind that one should research on the said product and not based on impulse buying as it might be costly especially for those who have to pay GST with International Courier and Charges L1, L2 & L3 in the event of an exchange or refund. No converter included in the pocket pen that costs almost $1000. Cheap Chinese pens include cartridges or converters!

It is an amazing writing instrument. Out of the box it is bouncy and very smooth writer. It was smaller than I expected but a perfect size for a pocket pen.

I visited the London shop for the first time to buy some leads. Lovely little shop. Prompt friendly and efficient service from charming and helpful staff member. I may never need to go back, as I do not live in the capital, but I would not hesitate if the need arose.
