I had the worst service with you guys…
I had the worst service with you guys in orlando, i am pretty sure that is not new news for you as your reviews online can tell. I wish i read the reviews before i decided to book with you. I am going to start with your unprofessional way of picking up your customers from the air port, i arrived at 11:30am and was not picked up until 1:03 pm, everytime we would call and ask when will we get picked up they say “will be there in 5mins” your poor decision on saving on gas by not having enough vans and only got you “2” vans do frequent rotations to the airport and back and having your customers wait over 2 hours so you can fill up your van with your now angry and dissatisfied customers you saved few dollars by doing that but in the long run it will cost you more and even shutdown your already unsuccessful business. Next we finally arrive to your trashy location with complete unprofessional “manager” she started by saying there was an accident at the entrance of the airport which was a lie because no other company had any problems picking up the customers. Then when confronted she said she is sorry but there is nothing she can do for us as she only has 2 vans and thats what they do they wait for the arrival of multiple customers to dispatch her driver, understandable but only if you make it reasonable with a 15-20 window so your customers dont have to be neglected and disrespected like that. Now she went on asking us sarcastically “what do you want me to do” our reply was you as a manager you need to do your job and manage and respect your upset customers you need to be sincere, truthful and respectful and deal accordingly with upset customers who was treated badly by you and your company her reply was “your reservation is cancelled” and handed us back our IDs. We were shocked at the fact that she canceled our reservations without trying to make an effort at solving the issue or somehow satisfy us after being so upset. Your customer service is one of the worst experience we have ever had and you need to either fix it or shut down your company

Can I leave Zero stars? Booked through Priceline as Avis was astronomically high at the Denver airport. Picked up the vehicle. Tires were bald, car was dirty on the inside, but I figured what the heck Its a cheap rental I will survive. I turned the car in yesterday at 9:15 and could not find anyone at all. All doors locked, lights off. Apparently they open at 10am. Put the keys in the drop box and went to the airport.
Got an email this morning stating that there would be a $250 cleaning fee for pet hair. I called and talked to a man that wouldn't give me his name and told him I don't live here and didn't have a dog with me. Instead of arguing with this fella any further I told him thank you for your time. After we got off the phone I received an email from York stating thank you for confirming there was a dog in the car....I am like what???? Already called Chase to dispute the charge.
I would not recommend this company to anyone!
The Most Heartless Company I've ever Dealt With
Got a great deal for about $82 for 4 day rental out of Denver, Co. The night before we had to return the rental my wife had a stroke and was admitted to a Vail Hospital in Vail for 8 days. Being alone and over 2 1/2 hours away I couldn't leave my wife and drop the car off, especially with no ride back. To make a long story short they charged me more than three times the original daily price (over $70 without the numerous fees attached). After 2-3 emails to resolve this their response is that you initialed the one of 20 lines they have you do with your rental agreement about late returns. It didn't say how much the extra days would be just they had the right to charge whatever. With this being the only location I could return rental to I was screwed. The most heartless and non compassionate company EVER!!!

I wish I could leave no stars. I booked through Priceline and got a great deal. When I got to the counter they would not accept my auto insurance even though I have full coverage for rentals. They wanted to charge me an additional $40 a day plus $20 a day for tolls. This would have made my fees more than the actual rental cost. I did not end up renting the car I walked around to routes. But this was a huge bait and switch and the information was not provided in the disclosure though they said it was.

The rental company sucks.. They scam you... They over charged and forced my kids into a $200 toll pass..plus extra insurance..charged the 160 for the car originally rented, then added a $250 deposit and then charged another $378. Customer service sucks... Definitely do not use this company. They just wanna get all the money they can from you. If your younger they screw you worse. No papers were given when they picked up the rental. They had a guy hit them while parked at the beach... Car company was not very helpful. Didnt even care what happened. Still told my son he may owe out of the deposit they are holding. The other driver has insurance, and a police report was filed plus the added insurancethey made him get. Why would he even owe more when he wasn't even at falt... This company is the worst ever to deal with. Worst nightmare company out if tampa florida.

They accepted outside insurance. The requirements are Liabilities 100k/300k, property damages 100K, and full coverage deductible is $250. However, your own vehicle must 2019 or newer, not the one you are renting. Also, York will take $2500 deposit from your credit card. If you have all above conditions, their car rental is a good deal. Otherwise, their high insurance coverage is considered.

I visited this car rental company, but they refused to provide me with a vehicle. They did not accept my insurance from State Farm, nor did they accept the coverage I had purchased through Priceline.
Additionally, the staff member at York was extremely rude and unprofessional. He was wasting customers’ time, and everyone in line appeared frustrated. He insisted that I purchase their highly overpriced insurance and also pressured me to buy a daily toll tag costing $35–$40 per day. He clearly stated that if I did not agree to these conditions, I would not be given a car and would need to seek a refund from Priceline. He showed no willingness to assist.
Furthermore, he required a $2,500 deposit, which seemed excessive. I felt pressured into accepting their terms after being kept waiting in line for over an hour. It appeared to be a deliberate tactic to push customers into agreeing out of frustration and inconvenience.
I was not comfortable with this situation, as I prefer to make my own decisions without being pressured. As a result, I declined their terms and returned to the airport. I will be raising this issue with Priceline. This is totally SCAM. AVOID this. This was PANIC. It's very frustration when you start your vacation with dealing with this unprofessional people.

They are scammers worst car place to rent from and the price is ridiculous and they don’t go with any insurance and if they do their deposit is $2500 +1499 a day which is crazy. Do research I got my whole deposit back. Go with a better car rental like Hearst or budget even Payless

Scammers. I rented a vehicle for my son who is 23 years old and he's also on my insurance and yes, his name is on my insurance. The lady at the counter asked if we can show proof and we did but then she changed her story and said that the insurance had to be in his name that's not what you said is what I told her unfortunately we had to pay additional because of the insurance, not being in his name, I'm in Georgia and my son was in Houston Texas at that point. He had to have a car we've already paid money towards the car but had to pay additional $300. Do not rent from these people. I wish I would have read the reviews before this is a warning do not rent from York rental. I tried to call them several times could never get anyone do not ruin it from them.

ZERO STARS – COMPLETE SCAM
When you arrive, they suddenly tell you that your insurance coverage must be $100,000 or more, even though none of their vehicles are worth anywhere near that amount. Then they try to force you to purchase their insurance with extremely high deposits. I was forced to pay for daily coverage even though I have **GEICO insurance and have never had this issue with any other rental company.
The truck I originally booked was not available when I arrived. Instead, they gave me a smaller vehicle that clearly needed an alignment. The steering wheel was shaking and the vehicle kept pulling hard to the right. When I called them about it, they tried to tell me the car was “fine.” I returned it anyway because it felt unsafe.
Magically, within 20 minutes of returning the defective vehicle, the exact vehicle I originally reserved suddenly became available.
When I returned the rental, there was no staff present except someone cleaning the vehicles. He inspected the car and said everything looked fine. He called his manager, who arrived about 30 minutes later to close me out. She asked if I needed to be closed out, gave me my receipt, and I left.
Two days later (March 4), they charged my card $700.
I immediately called the company. They repeatedly put me on hold and even hung up. Eventually someone told me the charge was for “smoking in the vehicle.”
This is completely false.
I do not smoke at all, and while my fiancé smokes cigarettes, she never smoked in the car. The only time she smoked was outside the building while we were waiting to pick up the rental. It seems like they used the fact that she smoked outside to make this accusation. The employee even claimed it was marijuana, which is completely untrue.
We rent vehicles often while traveling and are very careful about rental rules. We even took the car to a car wash before returning it, so the vehicle was actually cleaner than when we received it.
Their story also kept changing.
First they said marijuana was found under the back seats, which is impossible because it was just me and my fiancé on a birthday trip, and nobody was even sitting in the back. Then they changed the story again and said cigarettes.
An employee said he would speak to the manager and call me back, but he never did. Now every time I call, they leave me on hold for long periods of time.
This small rental company appears to make money by making false accusations and charging customers outrageous fees after the vehicle is returned.
I strongly recommend avoiding this business.
DO NOT RENT FROM THEM OR ANY BUSINESSES AFFILIATED WITH THEM.

I have rented several cars from different companies over the years with little to no problems. This was my first time using York Car rentals. I should have read reviews on all different platforms but I did not (my fault). I was focusing on a good deal. I thought I got one until a day ago. I received a text from York stating my car reservation was canceled due to no car being available 2 days later. I thought it was a joke and called thier Customer Support line and was told the same. Was not offered any options and was instructed to reach out to Priceline for a refund. I asked to speak to local car rental place in Houston Tex or representative’s support. Was told that was not possible and nothing more could be done. Horrible way to run a business and treat a customer. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH YORK AGAIN. Btw - I did call Priceline, got a full refund and a better car deal with another company. Thank you Priceline and Dollar rental. York rental you still suck and will continue to get negative feedback/reviews of you continue to treat your customers the way you treated me.

This rental company is operating unethically and should not be trusted.
They withheld our deposit using a false claim and then stopped responding to emails once we demanded documentation. They also changed their position on accepting our insurance AFTER the rental, which is unacceptable and deceptive.
To make matters worse, we were stranded over two hours waiting for their shuttle late at night with an infant. No updates. No apology. No regard for safety.
When we finally reached staff, they were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. This company shows a clear pattern of ignoring customers once they have your money.
We are actively disputing this charge, filing formal complaints, and pursuing all available remedies. This review will be updated only if the issue is resolved and our deposit is returned.
Save yourself the stress and financial loss — rent elsewhere.

This place is a SCAM!!!! I booked through Priceline and have booked several rentals . York or whatever they call themselves wanted to charge me an extra 1000.00 deposit plus a 468.00 mandatory insurance since I didn't own a 2019 or newer vehicle . I own 3 vehicles and all have full coverage . I even called my insurance agent while at the counter to confirm I am covered and send my declarations page . Well that wasn't good enough I had to Uber back to the airport and rent a car through Hertz . Priceline did refund me for the rental . I didn't have a good feeling about them from the moment I arrived . They are shady and I believe they were going to rip me off . BEWARE !!!!!
