Cancelled the Nottingham drone event and then all other contingency dates .They are refusing to refund monies paid despite not fulfilling their contract .Avoid at all costs unless they change this stance .Update .Refund now being processed thankyou although the situation could have been avoided

Cancelled shows (and contingencies dates), but refusing to refund and instead holding it as credit for a show in March or November 2025! Absolutely shocking!

Was booked for the Christmas Carol…

Was booked for the Christmas Carol drone show at Nottingham, the event was cancelled due to the weather, an alternative evening was offered but this again was cancelled.
We asked for a full refund but were told that refunds were not available only credit towards future events.

UPDATE
We have since been offered a refund, but am still disgusted by their attempts to wriggle out of their refund obligations by stating this was part of the T&C’s.
Hence the 2 stars.

Shysters and scammers, BEWARE

Booked for “A Christmas Carol” drone show at Trent Bridge on 7th December. This show was cancelled due to adverse weather and a contingency date was provided which we were more than happy to attend. The company then cancelled the contingency date and all subsequent showings of “A Christmas Carol”. Attempted to contact the company for a refund, instead received a generic automatic response followed by a second email stating that refunds weren’t permitted under the T&Cs and that I would be credited for a future drown show. Yuup have altered their T&Cs since booking, and don’t class a completely different event as a “significant change” (A Christmas Carol compared to The Wizard of Oz”!).

This company has zero customer service skills, thinking about their own pockets. Avoid at all costs.

Trying to ignore consumer law…

This company seem to believe that consumer law does not apply to them. They allow you to book a show and when it’s cancelled they won’t refund your money but tell you that you have to book something else. Total cowboy company and won’t be in business for long with this attitude. Steer clear of them, not to be trusted.

Do not book with this company

Do not book with this company! If I could i wouldnt even give them 1 star. Booked the Christmas Carol drone show for Sunday 8th Dec, when I booked it said if this was cancelled the contingency date would change to Tues 10th December. Sunday show was cancelled due to severe weather, no weather warnings in place for the contingency date of the 10th December (so can't use safety as an excuse) but they have now cancelled that as well. They haven't offered a refund even though their booking terms and conditions clearly said that full refunds would be given if the event or contingency date was cancelled. Have contacted them within 24 hours to request a refund, looks like they have been on my account and ignored my request because its now showing a credit and saying I need to transfer to the wizard of Oz drone show in March or November 2025 but aren't able to give us exact dates. There was no mention of transferring tickets from Christmas Carol to the wizard of Oz when I booked these tickets. Absolutely shambles of a company who haven't offered the service that I've paid for but are doing what they can to keep people's money. The cricket club providing the parking for the event have issued refunds straight away, Yupp should be doing the same! Yuup do the right thing and give everyone their money back. Would I recommend this company - definitely not! They were quite happy to take the bookings but when they cancel keep trying to move the goal posts so that they don't have to give people their money back !!! Cancelled a show few hours before, cancelled the contingency date, disappointed alot of families who had booked this event for Christmas and now refusing to give a refund meaning many people will lose out

Same as many other who booked the Nottingham Christmas Carol Light Show. This was supposed to be part of our grandchildrens christmas present which they will now not get. They offered an alternative date which was not viable to to prior commitments and refused to refund. They then cancelled the re-scheduled date and still refuse to refund, instead, offering other shows in 2025 which we dont want. YUUP, Celestial and Nottingham Cricket ground need to be ashamed of themselves.

Horrendous

Horrendous. Show cancelled due to weather, moved to alternative date. Cancelled again. Now being offered a different show in march or wait for it again in 12 months. Blanket refuses to refund. Ive requested their T&Cs to see what they actually state. Will then see if I can claim back via credit card. Unethical, don't deserve even 1 star rating. Will never use again.

Drone Show Fiasco

This company do not even deserve 1 star.
Booked to see A Christmas Carol drone show in Nottingham - event called off due to weather, which is understandable. Offered a contingency day in the following week which was apparently communicated at the point of purchase, though not on confirmation email. Contingency dates then cancelled, but still refused a refund, only given credit to see a different drone show in March. Quoted their own T+Cs back to them which state that refunds will be available if the contingency dates are not met, or if the show is changed materially, to no avail. Still refusing a refund. In what other capacity would you find it acceptable to pay for a product and not receive it, or in fact receive a completely different product. Avoid at all costs.

Refusing a refund despite cancelling

Booked a drone show for Trent Bridge, they cancelled all shows including contingency dates. Now are trying to tell me I can’t have a refund but they’ve given me credit for a show in March or November. I don’t think so. Absolutely shocking. We’re entitled to refunds, don’t let them tell you otherwise.
Will never use this company again.

Do not book an event with this company…

Do not book an event with this company ! Tickets purchased months in advance , for a show that was ultimately cancelled due to adverse weather . Nothing you can do about that, but what Yuup are now doing is refusing to refund , even though their own T&C’s state that in the event of cancellation due to weather, refunds would be issued . They are stating that there were additional T&C’s at the time of booking , which there wasn’t and of which aren’t contained on any correspondence from the date of booking . Emails are ignored and all standardised emails are sent out with ‘no refunds issued’ within them .

Absolutely disgusting company!
Show cancelled due to weather (as expected) but talk of contingency dates when booked, there were no such dates mentioned! This company continuously changes its terms to suit them, trying to contact them is impossible, no number to call, just an email which sends out a generic bull crap message saying "refunds are only possible in exceptional circumstances", then get ignored. I have contacted my bank to begin a dispute and get a refund, surprise surprise Yuup emailed stating my account has been credited for tickets in March for The wizard of Oz! and that as per their terms and conditions no refunds are available!!!! No thankyou!! This is surely fraud, I don't want to pay for something that I have no intention of going to on dates I have no control over!!

Scammers

Hi, to be fair I would not book any events through Yuup - Just paid for the Christmas Carol show at Trent Bridge Nottingham (8th December) which had to be cancelled to to storm Darragh which I completely understand; now to be told I am not entitled to a refund even though Yuup cancelled all the shows - is that actually legal? I would not recommend using this company at all unfortunately as it seems a little dodgy.

**Update- the company are now offering refunds which I accepted, they said it’s takes up to 7 days which seems longer than any other companies refund policy.. 12 days since I requested the refund and still no money.. Not doing yourself any favours Yuup hanging on to peoples money for as long as possible for the interest..!

Christmas Drone show, let the consumers now take action

As others on here re the Christmas drone show at Trent bridge, same experience and would offer this company a -5 for customer service.
I encourage others who have been affected by this to also contact Trent Bridge Cricket Club, Celestial (the drone operators). Trent bridge, in particular, should be showing leadership and integrity here to its local community. It clearly wants to find other revenue streams, which is commendable, and your local community has responded by buying tickets. How many tickets does it think it will sell to non-cricket events if this is how it treats its customers.
If these companies won't do the decent thing and refund for dates that are, potentially, a year away, I suggest as many people as possible to contact the local written and TV media, consumer pressure it must be.

No refund if THEY cancel

The CEO of the company states on his LinkedIn profile that he founded the company due to a love of Bristol. Shame he doesn't feel the same way about his paying customers in Nottingham who he couldn't care less about.
Show cancelled, Comms promised that still haven't arrived, emails ignored and no refunds given. According to the company website we will be invited to transfer to a completely different show in March or November 25. I refuse your invite and would like my money back. This was a Christmas show of a Christmas Carol at Christmas time. That is what we paid for and what we should be refunded for. Buyer beware

Poor customer service

Cancelled show due to weather and set a new date. Then also cancelled that show and refused a refund when the show we wanted was christmas related for the children. Shocking company won't be using again.

Do not book with Yuup. As with many others, I booked to see the Christmas Carol Drone Show in Nottingham. The first show was cancelled and I accepted being moved to the contingency date which was also cancelled. Now rather than refund they want us to transfer to a different show with dates not yet fixed.
