Booked a room in Leeds online for…

Booked a room in Leeds online for £168/week for 44 weeks. Was told an account manager would contact us. Nothing. Next day held webchat with an advisor who said that if we booked online, we had a room gaurenteed and not to worry, we had that room at that rate.
Following day an accounts manager emails to say they could not give us our original room in Leeds, but offered a different room in a different building at £208/week for 50 weeks. And yet their website was still offering our original room! Do not rely on this company. They can not be trusted. Really disappointing.

We received your booking on the 20th of Aug. The very same day your booking was sent forth and a communication was sent to you with regards to the wait for the tenancy agreement from the property's side. For the room that you chose, the property already has a few pending offers, until they’re all accepted the property cannot be made sold out. We still put you on a Waitlist, so that should there be any cancellation we will be able to offer you the room. The reason you were sent alternate options was due to the limited availability of rooms across all property owing to the little time left for university. This will help you in securing a place for yourself should the waitlist not convert. We would still like to extend our apologies as we understand that this might not be what you wanted to hear. Your account manager has not heard from you since the time of you booking. Please do let them know what you intend on doing, if you like we could send forth a few more options for you to consider. Hope this helps. Also please be advised the room you originally booked is all sold out, so the Waitlist is not in effect either.
