Ordered 2 outdoor Xmas items 6th December 2025 and payment immediately taken from my bank.
I immediately contacted company to explain 1 item had been ordered by mistake, same products, but was told they had both been dispatched and therefore unable to cancel or refund. Here we are 5 weeks later, too late to use xmas products anyway, but still nothing delivered.
This bunch are now telling me one of the products was cancelled last week and the cost refunded, but it hasn't !!!
Obviously a con and wished I'd checked reviews before ordering.
Finally received today, 27th January 2026, 1 of the 2 products which were ordered 6th December 2025, in time for Xmas!!!.
Order was for outside xmas light projector, what was received was a small plastic thing, which when reading instructions, is only suitable for inside.
Paid nearly £30, its true worth is no more than £3.
Well and truly ripped off.

Took car for interim service. When I returned to pick it up I was told car needed a new battery,, stop start type and they could provide one for £ 400+, as there was currently a deal available.
I politely refused and visited a Kwik Fit garage, who tested my battery and told me nothing wrong with it!!
Here we are 13 months later, same battery and still no problems with it.

After visiting several known shoe shops, where we felt we were a hindrance rather than being offered assistance, we visited the Clarks store.
We were appointed Ashton and he immediately offered us help with our search, at all times with a smile and pleasant conversation.
After several options were offered, we eventually made our choice and Ashton efficiently completed the transaction.
He is a credit to the store and the younger generation.

Bobby and Paul, were unbelievably efficient and professional but also happy and pleasant. They treat our home with care and respect. They gave us full verbal descriptions of how to care and maintain the furniture and carried out demonstration in addition. All packaging was removed on completion. They are a credit to SCS.

Used this useless company for a major service, only to find out 2 years later, at the next major service, that they had not changed the oil filter!! That's 4 years running the engine without change of filter! Their "customer service" initially corresponded with me, then decided to halt all contact, despite being told my case was being referred to their claims department.
Frustrating,inept,untrustworthy company, who only play at being a vehicle garage. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Met with Steven, who was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and provided overall excellent customer service. It was refreshing to have this level of service, which made the overall experience simple, actually enjoyable and the purchase process slick and professional.
The experience would encourage me to make SCS my first choice when looking to make my next furniture purchase.

Booked flights for October 2023. Unfortunately my wife was rushed to hospital, where she spent 6 days and her discharge letter advised against taking the flights/ holiday.
Made claim for refund from Ryanair, under their apply for a refund application and option, serious illness of a customer booked to travel. The discharge letter accompanied the application.
Ryanair point blank refused to consider our claim and after several attempts to claim, citing their option for serious illness, we decided to claim against our insurance.
Our insurance paid up, minus the usual insurance excess and APD, air passenger duty, which is a government tax on flights from the UK, explaining this should be claimed from the airline as the flights had not been taken.
Despite several attempts explaining why they should refund this, Ryanair refused, without explanation, other than "we are a non refundable airline".
Lesson learned, never travel or do business with Ryanair again.

Bought a typical Christmas style dessert from Tesco Gateshead 23/12/2023, whilst doing my main Christmas shopping only to find when I returned home that the use by date was 24th!! Yes, I should have checked date, but would expect a Christmas product to be suitable for Christmas and certainly have more than 1 day life in a fresh dairy product. Possibly, I should also have known that there was something up, as it was the only 1 remaining in the dairy fresh produce section.
When I returned to store, they initially were going to allow exchange and actually phoned around other stores to check they had them available. All of this whilst I stood around for best part of an hour, which at the time I did not have an issue with, only for the supervisor doing the phoning around, to decide he could not exchange!! Very disappointed with the decision making ability of the supervisor, wasting my time and giving false hope.

Almost impossible to make contact with this company, without incurring ridiculous costs.
I had my car major service carried out by South Shields store, 2021, only to find at my next major service 2023, that the original oil filter installed 2019, had not been changed during the Halfords service!! I chose Halfords based on their standing in the market and the reputation of smaller garages etc.
I contacted the store and after doing their research, they refunded the cost of the service. I explained that my concern was not the cost, but the potential for damage to the engine due to the fact the oil filter had not been changed for 4 years due to their ineptitude and I suggested that my car should be referred to a main dealer for advice. Halfords then claimed they had spoken to main dealer, who had advised they could not help in the matter. When I contacted the same main dealer, they advised me they could investigate and initially my car should be placed on their diagnostic machine. I advised Halfords on my findings, at which point they stopped communicating with me.
Since then I have attempted contact numerous times, without success. At time of writing I am into 2 hours of attempting to make contact, whilst in limbo as to whether my car has potential engine damage due to Halfords ineptitude.
Following the above review, I eventually got to speak to a customer service representative, who empathised with my situation and said she'd pass me to a relevant person. After listening to music for 10 minutes, I received automated message asking me to rate the service, which I had not received, after which I was cut off.
13/12/2023 further attempt made to discuss my concerns with Halfords. Called customer services and spoke to Charlie who explained she would transfer me to claims. I as put on hold again, as per 12/12/2023 and after long wait, again received automated request to answer survey questions after which my call was again cancelled.

The following comments reflect the product I purchased which was a RAK ceramics product and refers to the RAK distribution and quality control.
Ordered a cloakroom basin and pedestal and when they arrived the rear of the pedestal was unfinished/ damaged. Decided to fit them as the unfinished area would be hidden and ended up with 2 nasty cuts from the installation.
Following this review, HeatandPlumb immediately made contact and sent out a replacement product, the quality of which was again challenged, which resulted in HeatandPlumb offering to send out a further replacement.
Well done HeatandPlumb customer service.

Just had bedroom furniture delivered and installed by 2 young gentlemen called Jordan and Phil. They were the epitome of customer service and excellent manners. They were careful and attentive and diligent in their work. They took time to discuss minor detailing and allowed us to explain what we expected.
